On a completely different note....I have been watching the dog and pony show today with the House Judiciary Committee.....and all I can say is....with these fools in charge....the U.S. is about done........and I can honestly say the Democrats are as much an enemy of this country as ISIS....................you can see the hate, evil, wickedness on their faces and they absolutely will not let the man answer and are twisting is as far as it can be twisted..........the founding fathers would be rolling over in their graves if it were possible......

ANYWAY....back to the regularly scheduled program...

I can imagine it must be a hard thing for you to watch it play out as someone who has served in the US military! You put in work and now you are watching the country you love and worked for destroyed from the inside out

Me personally, gypsies (OR Roma people, Kale, whatever you want to say) have always been LOOKED DOWN UPON, persecuted and disrespected in this country, so I couldnt care less! Iow not that patriotic lol

What is the definition of Grace, Maestro? How is receiving apostleship by grace different than receiving the work of an apostle as a gift? And by the way, I already did apologize for misunderstanding you and thinking you asked for scripture on faith as a gift. Misunderstanding someone is not the same as a false accusation, unless you have a chip on your shoulder.

I wasn't the only one who thought I saw the post as saying "gift of faith". Someone else answered the same question along the same tenor.

If faith is a gift, and works are a byproduct of faith, then works are a gift too. Just as if I gave you an orange tree, both the tree and the oranges produced would be part of the gift.

God works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. Is this not a gifting?

We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works,which God before ordained that we should walk in them

And in our flesh there dwells no good thing. So the ability and privelidge of doing good works to glorify God is a gift of grace.

If faith is a gift, and works are a byproduct of faith, then works are a gift too. Just as an orange tree, both the tree and the oranges produced are one.

God works in us to will and to do of His good pleasure. Is this not a gifting?

Wouldn't you say that being a chosen vessel unto God is a gift of grace?

I feel like God choosing me to serve Him as a gift of grace.

It certainly is an honor and a privelidge to be chosen by God to bear His name and to testify of Him, and we certainly did not pay for it or earn it in some way. It was freely given. Oh...like a gift. Wow, look how simple that is.

Hi Macabeus, we are saved by grace through faith, "it is the 'gift' of God", Jesus said "I give them 'eternal life', it is a gift as well. So where is the conflict and what is the sense of continuing to say the same thing over and over. If you and decon agree that our eternal salvation is "Not By Works", then please just move on.

To argue for the sake of arguing is point less, then it only become who win's and the truth gets lost in the argument.

This assumes we are arguing over truth....we are not...I am disagreeing with his earlier statement that works are a gift from GOD and his accusation that I did not know that faith was a gift from God..........

Works are the result of the faith and salvation we already possess as gifts..........

Okay I can see that now and I am also in disagreement with works are a gift, and the bible does not support his fallacious argument. His faulty interpretation has obviously brought him to a false conclusion.
