Also going back to genesis 6:1
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth (how did they multiply??) and duaghters were born unto them, (how can daughters be born to men?? Men can't give birth!)
Men as in mankind represent the one creation in the image of God. The word men is used at times in that way to represent mankind the one creation. He made the other beasts of the field male, separately and female as two creations .And not I think you could say "God kinds" as
Sons of God . Sons of God as those who are led by the
Spirit of God in them
Job 12:10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all
mankind.
The understanding would be using the word
men to represent
mankind, "the human race". where
sons of God as those led by the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ in them.
Sons of God represent those as born again believers as new creatures the bride of Christ, the church.
And it came to pass, when
men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,That the
sons of God saw the
daughters of men that they were fair; and
they took
them wives of all which
they chose.
Genesis 6:1
It helps us better understand other areas where men is used to represent a certain kind and woman another kind. Man kind (woman and man as one creature ) was redeemed being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Note...Defiled with women...... as
daughters of men. natural unconverted mankind.
Revelation 14:4 These are they which were not
defiled with women; for they are
virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among
men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
The virgin there describe the Sons of God the new creation as Christ's chaste virgin bride the church .the heavenly Jerusalem prepared as the wife of Christ. again as mankind the image of God .
Paul is used to represent what Galatian 4 calls the mother of us all in a parable. as a segregate womb where the spirutl seed Christ is formed.
Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in
birth again until Christ be formed in you,
In Corinthian 2 he builds on the hope of the new creation using Timothy to represent the chaste virgin bride of Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one
husband, that I may present you as a chaste
virgin to
Christ.
