No, but I do think he may have had a soft spot for Dahmner. 😂 (I kill me sometimes)
I beljeve since God IS love that it is not a mere attribute of God, but the very essence of his entity, so that all that proceeds forth from him is manifested in and sustained by love. With love God hates sin.
You with me? It is the fruit and top variable in defining him and his eternal glory. Just as if we walk in that lovd it will be, hands down , the number one definer and sustainer of our "good works"
Well, I couldn't agree with you more.
If we don't have love we're like a clanging bell.
1 Corinthians 13:1
This is why we do good deeds after salvation...because we love our God and our neighbor..as ourself because if we don't love ourselves we can't love anyone else.

And yes, God IS the essence of love. If He didn't want to love us, He never would have created us.
1 John 4:16b

And yes, you killed me too....
That was pretty funny.
Hey, if you don't entertain yourself,,,who will?

Okay but that's the foreshadowing...
Why are you talking about that in reference to David and his son?
Tomorrow....
Jesus, thou SON of DAVID have mercy on me.....JESUS was innocent just as the new born son of David was innocent....Under the law David was guilty of Murder and Adultery and should have been put to death...but was spared with the innocent taking his place...THE picture is clear....WE are ALL guilty under the LAW and YET the righteousness and innocence of CHRIST is put to our account by faith and WE GO FREE WHEN IN FACT we should be found GUILTY and condemned by the LAW.

The others were clean by the word,

They ate the bread jesus spoke of in john 6, it is obvious judas did not

But he will never admit to this thats why he refuses to answer me.

David was considered a man after gods own heart years before these grave sins, he was saved eternally at that point based on his faith, he had no danger of losing salvation, he did have danger of losing his life, and he did lose his so , and prety much lost his kingdom.

i can also see it as a warning to false believers in the midst of the congregation without a genuine enduring faith

but we know already about those who go out from us

and those we are not of

how if they were of us they no doubt would have continued with us and all
But how is it to false believers if Paul plainly says
"He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death".
Colossians 1:22

He's definitely speaking to the believers.
I'm too tired now and would have to check this out...BUT
this letter was written by Paul when he was imprisoned in Rome.
Probably someone read this letter to a church at Colossus. There might have been unbelievers there...but that would be irrelevant due to verse 22.

This belief of "going out from us means they were not believers..."
This refers to John's gospel....I've said before that John was very concerned with gnostics that were invading the early church.

His comment was that if the gnostics were real believers they would have stayed.
We can't use this all the time to state that only if one leaves the faith then he was never saved to begin with.

How do you justify that this was a warning to unbelievers in the crowd?
I have a feeling there weren't too many since we were already in the first round of persecution of the Christians...people were paying being Christian in the way they had to live their lives.

Fully agree........and under the law he should have been put to death........

In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

IF is a conditional word.
It puts a condition on what is being said.

IF YE CONTINUE in the faith....

IF WE CONTINUE we will be presented before God blameless....

What if we don't continue?
Paul is saying that it's possible to NOT continue or he never would have said the word IF...

proof positive Judas was saved and was given the Spirit of God to Preach, heal the sick, and cast out devils

Matthew 10:5-8 (KJV)
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

luke's version:

Luke 9:1-2 (KJV)
1 Then he called his twelve disciples (had to include Judas) together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

power--doo'-nam-is
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

same word used for Holy ghost power

Judas was given authority over all devils......impossible for him to be full of the devil at this point, no?

lets go a little further:

Matthew 10 Jesus continues to instruct the 12 (Judas included) as to what to expect

Matthew 10:20 (KJV)
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

this is why acts 1 says "Judas by transgression fell"

Judas was tempted and enticed and drawn away by his own lust, just like you and i can be

Where does it SAY JUDAS DID THE HEALING ? ? ? ? HE SENT THEM OUT TWO BY TWO, the REAL APOSTLE did the HEALING, and JUDAS the Pretend Apostle, simply tagged along.

Psalm 41:9 (NJB)
9 Even my trusted friend on whom I relied, who shared my table, takes advantage of me.

Judas was only a Religious Zealot, the TYPE that JESUS SAID TO:

John 8:43-44 (CSBBible)
43 Why don't you understand what I say? Because you cannot listen to my word.
44 You are of your father the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tells a lie, he speaks from his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.

Matthew 10:4 (ESV)
4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

I would agree those that teach perseverance, ie genuine faith, get backed into a corner when it comes to eternal security.

The scripture only teaches about faith, not genuine faith or spurious faith.

64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)
65 And he said,This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

Your theory just to try to support your false belief that a person can lose their SALVATION, HOLDS NO WATER.

I am sorry, but if paul would have not repented and recieved christ, pwul would have been in hell.rom 1 says no one has an excuse.
I do not understand this sentence, sorry. pwul - what is this?
And as I said, I fear for your founding in Jesus, simply because of what you are saying about
my sharing and foundation in Him. God takes seriously such machine gunning His own people.

I have seen people trapped by their own hearts destroy their own standings, while thinking they
are defending the faith. I wish you no harm, I only share what scripture clearly declares, we
are to walk as Jesus walked, to avoid evil and be slaves to righteousness.

If your heart is in this, amen, if not, who are you listening to?

I know some do not read whole contributions because their hearts do not allow them to.
But scripture is clear. "Aim for perfection".
Jesus declared He will make this possible. Paul declared he walked in purity, holiness and
blamelessly with a clear conscience. He called us to follow his example as he followed Christs.

My ipad makes corrections, and it is not very easy thping using scream keyboard with small boxes. And i do not always catch the errors until too late

Yes scripture is clear, aim for something, but salvation is not dependent on it

If paul did not repent, he would have went to hell as pharisee saul,

Was Judas born a devil?

When his mother cooked his fevered brow and kissed him as a baby....was he a devil?

When he ran and played with other kids in the yard....was he a a devil?

No more than you and I......

I agree Jesus called Judas knowing what he would do, but please tell me, did God force Judas to betray? Or was it Satan who tempted him?

Just as God calls people today that he can see down the road will betray him yet his Mercy still reaches for them

Jesus looked at Peter and said "get behind me Satan, thou savorest not the things which be of God"

As far as your argument that you compare Judas to those in Matthew saying did we not........this is a nonsensical argument. The big difference was Jesus called Judas and ordained him an apostle..... empowered him to preach the gospel
Jesus would not be able to say to Judas in judgement "I never knew you'

could Judas have chosen not to be the son of perdition? so that scripture would not have been fulfilled?

will it be up to the antichrist whether to be the antichrist or not?

can God be judged unrighteous if He ultimately created Judas for this purpose, like a potter who makes a vessel for dishonorable use?
