How did God give a "pretend Christian" as you call it the Spirit of God to preach and the authority over all devil's?????

THERE ARE LOT'S PRETEND CHRISTIANS, WHO THINK THEY HAVE POWER, and to PREACH; the TV has a GREAT MANY OF THEM.

John 6:64-65 (ESV)
64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and
who it was who would betray him.)

65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

THE BEGINNING IN MY OPINION IS THE SAME BEGINNING MENTIONED HERE:

2 Timothy 1:9 (HCSB)
9 He has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began

Your theory just to try to support your false belief that a person can lose their SALVATION, HOLDS NO WATER.

I did not see your answer, to the Question: You do not know how to explain BORN AGAIN, Do You ? ? ?

Maybe I over looked it.

What a wonderful thought.

Unfortunately it’s not biblical.

Jesus taught His disciples to do this, in which they teach their disciples to do this.

It’s up to us to go after those who wander away and become lost.

If our brother sins against us, we are to after him and try to get him to hear, and repent.

David repented and was forgiven.

Those who wander away and become lost are called sinners, and must repent and be restored back to God.

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:4-7

Those who refuse to repent remain lost as sinners.

“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. “Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother. But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’ And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.
Matthew 18:12-17

Hear are the steps we are to take to restore a brother who sins against us.

“Moreover if your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he hears you, you have gained your brother.

But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established.’

And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector.

z.....WHEN YOU ACTUALLY ADDRESS THE SCRIPTURES I HAVE GIVEN I WILL ADRESS YOUR'S......IM TIRED OF GIVING SCRIPTURES AND INSTEAD OF PEOPLE ADDRESSING THEM YOU TRY TO INSULT ME TELLING ME I DONT KNOW WHAT BORN AGAIN IS

I dont know if you know what born again is, but your responder knows the actions of a thief for sure, but he stum.bles at fact that you can steal from the house of God after you've i . You err ß

Hi VCO, well said excellent post! :)
It would be nice to see scripture from the New Testament that says “justification by faith alone”.

People that proclaim this either can’t read, or they don’t comprehend what their reading.

I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. Galatians 2:21

Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. Because of what law? The law that requires works? No, because of the law that requires faith. For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. Romans 3:27-28

Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of God’s glory. Romans 5:1-2

but also for our sake, to whom it will be credited, those who believe in the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was given over because of our transgressions and was raised for the sake of our justification. Romans 4:24-25

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10

the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction. Romans 3:22

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. John 3:36

because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:9-11

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

For all who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” Galatians 3:10-11

For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10

Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4-5

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:14-16

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans 4:3

What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but the people of Israel, who pursued the law as the way of righteousness, have not attained their goal. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the stumbling stone. Romans 9:30-32

And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

Your post is filled with awesomeness and Gods great Mercy.
I feel it should be noted that the scripture in Romans 10 was directed towards Paul's kinsman, the Israelites. He was trying to meticulously change a few thousand year's of teaching and practices of the law to the simple freedom and surety of faith, and that believing in one's heart is established saving faith, and stating that is not a product of two plus two equals four and it all makes sense, xk yeah i believe that Christ died for our sins and was raised by the father for the redemption of my sins (as I assume most do when RECITING the "sinner's prayer) but a proclamation made in fact erupting from the Spirit of Truth that is the surety of eternal life.
Im not saying that praying for salvation is wrong at all, but to teach it as a sure way of obtaining eternal life js a lie and in my opinion a very detrimental and damnable offense.
Again, awesome post.

I did not see your answer, to the Question: You do not know how to explain BORN AGAIN, Do You ? ? ?

Maybe I over looked it.
Undeniable scripture that prove Judas did not start out bad.

Look at the verse scripture you quoted John 6 Jesus knew from the beginning who it was that did not believe and who would betray him....... Did you notice who would, would betray him

Luke 9:1-2 States emphatically that Jesus gave Judas Authority over all devils...... I'm curious what do you say to yourself when you read that verse so you can continue to to Peddle your false Doctrine

Matthew 10:5-8 (KJV)
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

luke's version:

Luke 9:1-2 (KJV)
1 Then he called his twelve disciples (had to include Judas) together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.
2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.

Did this include Judas or not?

power--doo'-nam-is
Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary.

same word used for Holy ghost power

Judas was given authority over all devils......impossible for him to be full of the devil at this point, no?

lets go a little further:

Matthew 10 Jesus continues to instruct the 12 (Judas included) as to what to expect

Matthew 10:20 (KJV)
20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

this is why acts 1 says"Judas by transgression fell"

Judas was tempted and enticed and drawn away by his own lust, just like you and i can be

i do not remember telling you that you were going to hell.

but, if you do not wish to talk about the narrow way of Christ alone for salvation, I understand.

what the Bible actually says is bothersome to religious people who think that their salvation is a joint effort between them and God.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matt 11:29-30

A yoke is the burden of work an ox carries to do its daily work.
Jesus is calling us share His daily work.
Now the image many have used that it is we a yoked to Jesus, He and us pulling along together.
But that is not what He said. He declared His burden was easy and His burden light.

Now some declare Jesus is lying, and the burden is heavy and impossible.
Maybe because they are not listening to Jesus and they are trying to be religious.

Jesus's burden is about being honest and walking with integrity, doing what you can, not what
others would force upon you. He declares the Father is interested in the reality in peoples lives,
not the show, and rewards this reality.

The religious make God into a tyrant, who desires a ridiculous level of conformity and obedience,
with ocd levels of pickiness. But God chose King David and Samson, both wild men in their own
way, and yet after His heart. So listen to God and apply His word to your heart and you will find
exactly what He has declared.

There is a fascination with losing ones salvation, as if, by holding this view you invalidate your relationship
and salvation with Jesus.

It is like a deadly illness, people are trying to stamp out, and when they meet people like this, they have
the plague.

But I think the plague is in reverse. Once you believe you are locked in to salvation, Jesus is just a label
you put on the car, and you will fight using any means necessary to bring down the evil unbelievers.

When I buy a car, I know it will get old and have to be replaced at some point.
It does not stop me buying the car, and I am not racked with fear that it will die on me.
I know its limitations and work within them, with insurance, servicing, garages etc.

Jesus is our Lord and Saviour. If you believe He is the Son of God, listen to Him.

My way(yoke) is easy and my burden is light.
Matt 11:30

He just wants us to be real and to deal with the issues we run away from.
But we find this so hard, because we do not believe anyone truly knows us or loves us.

The cross demonstrates, God both knows us, will pay the price to find us and loves us.

. . . maybe they've misunderstood what exactly the burden is . . .
Hi Post, Jesus said people do not listen.

Now if I put this into context, we do not listen to God. So we are very bad at understanding what He means.
We need to really, really work on our listening.

This is not my opinion. This is the creator declaring something true about us.

People do not turn to Him and ask. So we are proud, stubborn and opinionated. We know we are in a mess
but we are going to live with it and sort it out. Why do we need to ask God to help us out. That is just for
losers.

Guilt we carry. We know the relationships we have, those we have betrayed and hurt, the bonds we have
broken. Yet we refuse to bring this guilt to Him who loves and has the keys to life, heaven and freedom.

So if we carry the guilt, do not listen, and then try to be that which we think God wants us to be, is it
any wonder we fail. And it is God who is lying.

And then His messengers, carrying His words, we accuse of being evil deceivers, doomed to hell speaking
words of the enemy. It is a prison ship about to fall off a cliff, cutting off the one rescue line that is stopping
them from being destroyed.

Jesus said we do not come to the light because our deeds are evil, and we want to continue living in darkness
because we can believe we are ok, rather than seeing the reality of where we are and resolving it.

Jesus is saying this, Gods declaration of truth and reality. But Jesus is accused of lying about having the ability
to resolve these issues. But this is where faith, obedience and love begins to work, if we trust Him.

It would be nice to see scripture from the New Testament that says “justification by faith alone”.

People that proclaim this either can’t read, or they don’t comprehend what their reading.

JPT
The Bible clearly states in many passages of scripture that we are saved through belief/faith "apart from additions or modifications." (John 1:12; 3:15,16,18,36; 6:40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:39; 16:31; 26:18; Romans 1:16; 3:22-28; 4:5; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:21; Galatians 2:16; Ephesians 2:8; 2 Timothy 3:15; 1 John 5:13 etc..).

You don't need to add the word "alone" next to "belief/faith" in each of these passages of scripture in order to figure out that the words, "belief/faith" stand alone in connection with receiving eternal life/salvation. Do these many passages of scripture say belief/faith "plus something else?" Plus works? NO. So then it's faith (rightly understood) IN CHRIST ALONE.

Not to be confused with an empty profession of faith/dead faith that remains "alone" -- barren of works (James 2:14)

Typical argument made by those who teach salvation by works. :cautious:

Romans 5:1 - Therefore, having been justified by faith, "apart from additions or modifications" we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Faith plus what? Faith plus nothing. Faith (rightly understood) IN CHRIST ALONE.

Yet again, let us all know when you've stopped your own evil behavior and stopped sinning.
Hi Bud, as I have stated before, evil behavior is very specific.

We also know that law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious; for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, for adulterers and perverts, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine that conforms to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.
1 Tim 1:9-12

Evil - killing, stealing, lying, sexual immorality, coveting, lusting after, greed, self indulgence, selfish ambition, vain conceit

Now one can take a legalistic check box, but unfortunately you will find you tick boxes in case that is why you do something or how you are doing, just in case. By focusing on be approved of, you have sinned is trying to be something you have not become.

We become because we are what God desires, we respond as He desires because He has built us this way.
It is about obedience and behaviour change through discipline, self control through the Holy Spirit and love.

So this is how you stop evil behaviour and sinning. You become one with Jesus and His heart, you let His words dwell within you day and night, so they become who you are. You let the Holy Spirit prompt you and stir your heart so you care and want and see things as they really are. This is the way of the Kingdom

Peter the apostle is in prison awaiting his death, knowing Stephen has been killed and the next day he will probably die.
He is praising God, lifting up his heart to the King, knowing he is in his hands.
An earthquake and angel later he stands in the street free. God cannot be mocked. His reality is there.

Those who speak in unbelief and do not listen, cannot hear the words because their hearts claim the words are lies.
The apostles were clean. They walked in holiness and purity. They were the fulfilment of the promise. And this walk is so
extraordinary because without living with Jesus for 3 years they would not have understood what it meant.

And this walk is so
extraordinary because without living with Jesus for 3 years they would not have understood what it meant.

...Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.
John 18:37

So listen to God and apply His word to your heart and you will find
exactly what He has declared.
oh, I do listen to God. God said to hear the Son. the Son said to believe in Him for salvation. I do.

and, you need to properly define sin before you say you do not.

sin is much more than command breaking. sin is missing the mark, falling short of a standard, knowing to do good and not doing so, whatever is not of faith is sin.

our goal should be not to sin. but, to walk with God in truth, we need to call sin what it is.
