if a sheep,still His sheep
which He is still the Shepard over
The sheep became a sinner in need of repentance.......that was the point of the lesson.........when we wander off God deals and deals with us with his mercy to repent

I don't understand this argument that the sheep is still a sheep.......was it ever anything else.......it was born a sheep, not sure what that has to do with anything

No I do not believe I'm working for my salvation by simply obeying God....He gives the Holy Spirit to those that obey him

Lol Sheep or people?
See Stone,,,
You make a joke of the question because it's those simple yes or no questions that could be so troubling.

Because there's no way to get around them.

Jesus was likening sheep to people.
He didn't come here to hang on a cross to save sheep.

So how about answering the question?

Why is it that it's so EASY to answer YOUR questions....
but it's so DIFFICULT for you to answer some questions??

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

I've heard this concept only on this thread.

I'm not a robot I choose to love and obey God....... If God forced me to love him you really couldn't call it love

And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
Hebrews 5:9 KJV

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
Acts 5:32 KJV

To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt,
Acts 7:39 KJV

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:7‭-‬8 KJV

I could go on and on

the sheep -goat thing is based on the accepted being sheep, the rejected being goats.

sheep- accepted. goats rejected.

28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?

29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

if i sin and give into temptation i believe i am still saved

just like when peter denied Jesus out of fear

but also like peter
God will work in my heart and i would feel absolutely horrible over much smaller sins than that

but i do not believe it is possible for a saved believer to lose salvation

Gods grace is not some revolving door

Where is this in the N.T.?

Does this refer to Mathew 25?
When Jesus separates the sheep from the goats as a shepherd would?

Well, how does that work?
The sheep are sheep and the goats are goats.

The sheep go on Jesus' right and the goats on His left.

The sheep are those that go to be with God because they obeyed what Jesus commanded...
The goats are those that will go to eternal punishment because they did NOT obey what Jesus commanded.

I still don't get it....

The sheep obey God and go to Eternal Life.
The goats do not obey God and go to eternal punishment.

So?

You need to learn what
BELIEVE MEANS

You need to learn what
THE LAW IS.

If you don't know these two concepts,,,you'll never understand the N.T.

1. If one believes in Jesus....
He will obey Jesus.

2. We are no longer under the Law of Moses:
a. The ceremonial Law
b. The civil Law
both of which are part of the 613 laws the Jews had to follow.

BUT

The Moral Law of God will NEVER be abolished...
The 10 commandments which MUST BE OBEYED.

Sorry for the caps,,,,but it's so important.

By the context of your post, it seems you believe we are born again, a NEW creation, given the Holy Spirit, by our obedience to not sin.

We are born again by coming to the point of realization that we CANT be obedient.

So we hear the Gospel, GOD quickens us to believe with the faith He gives us. We confess with our mouth Jesus is Lord, believe in our heart that God raised Him to life, and we ARE a saved born again, Child of God.
