You took my one sentence and expanded it greatly.
He suffers from a one world view, and will put you into it no matter what.
It is why in the end it falls apart, because the world is not like this.

I saw today, people want Jesus as a childs comfort blanket when they need security.
If you preach Jesus is wild, impartial, the Holy judge of all, a comfort blanket does not work.

And then one is a false teacher, a wolf, because you told the flock they had to grow up
really repent and clean the bucket or they are in unbelief. They would rather live in unbelief
and hide till judgement day, and the real Jesus appears. Only fools take this road, literally.

Worthy of the Lamb. Jesus opened the door, a free gift, He provided the way to life, so to be
worthy is to believe Him, enter the door and walk the way, or else judgement.

I made a typo. "No, God sees the future" not "No God sees the future"
Sorry. You are unfortunately quick to judge, lol :) but I forgive you.
I hope Jesus can see my heart, because if I am judged on punctuation, I am going to have a hard time
This is funny coming from a self-proclaimed expert on the Bible,,,, the other poster.

He should have ascertained the missing comma immediately,
Because sans the comma would mean you believe there's more than one God,,, and obviously you do not!

Is it any wonder the Bible is not understood...

John 14:15-16 (ESV)
15 If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
Apparently, you have lost your free will, IF you are correct in your interpretation of the word Will (as being a command).

The wrong u derstanding of a verse, has implications for every other verse.... Or, at least, most of them.

We cannot alleviate two facts....

a. They called Jesus Lord twice which indicates a form of belief, but not a faith that saves

b. They believed in their minds the right to enter had much to do with their works in the name of Jesus

We can rightfully conclude that their failure to enter and a denial By Jesus of ever KNOWING THEM goes to the ROOT OF THIER BELIEF SYSTEM.....

Paul was clear....Faith to start and works to finish = a false gospel with no power to save.....this is the SAME DRIVEL PEDDLED by....

a. Any religion that teaches a losable salvation

b. Any religion that blends faith and works for salvation

c. Any religion that blends faith and works to keep or maintain salvation

End of story....absolute truth.....why is it so hard to grasp the truth....works, fruit in a believer can be both good or bad with the ensuing results aimed at REWARD, LOSS OF REWARD OR CHASTISMENT.....with NO EFFECT on salvation which is IRREVOCABLY GIVEN AS AN ETERNAL GIFT AND BASED UPON CHRIST AND HIS WORK, PROMISES AND FAITH!!
Maybe you can show us where in scriptures does it say that salvation was irrevocably given as an eternal gift.

Now scripture did say that the "GIFTS" and calling are irrevocable .

"GIFTS" and not gift.

Israel is the recipient of these IRREVOCABLE "GIFTS" and calling.

...As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God’s gifts and his call are IRREVOCABLE..

Here is the lie. Jesus was the atoning sacrifice for sin, but not to allow us to continue to sin.
It is like saying all slop buckets are no longer slop buckets but keeping them there.

No prophet, man of God ever continued in sin and did not face judgement.
What is the way of the Lord? Finding it. Religion and compromises are easy, being true to the
King is eternal. What you are offering is a mind change, a kind of insanity which white washes
behaviour but effects nothing.
I never said or implied any of the above.

I simply asked the question "What did Jesus say about having to go back to the father so that the Holy Spirit will come to convict the world of its sin and what sin is it?

What you say I'm offering is actually a lie because I never said that.

Hi Bill,

This is a polarised interpretation.
I am making a comment I believe a particular position is a theological lie.
I am not saying you said it, believe it, I am just stating it.

Now if you never associate yourself with this position, why are you assuming I am addressing you.
This is what happens when it becomes an us and them situation.

We are mortals struggling to understand the Holy, infinite creator and His Son, the word made flesh.
So I write shorthand, a position I think is clear and obvious.

I am sorry if you think I am meaning you said this, which you obviously have not.
So why are you suggesting I am saying this and lying?

When I make points, I just state them as innately true. I mean all well, even to those who desire to
say things that contradict the good news of Christ. I vehmently disagree with them, but I am not the judge.
It is the words themselves that will judge and not me on the last day.

So please, in this environment, think the best of our brothers and sisters in Christ unless they
are calling one a false teacher, dooming people to hell, should be stamped out etc. It is clear these
things are very personal, especially with avatars and ids mentioned :)

And even when personal, I just want to say, God bless you. So my friend, God bless you, I do not mean to
lie about what you believe or do not believe. I hope this is clear as possible.

Why do you keep trying to put words in my mouth?
I am trying to understand your point, it is not clear to me.

If ask a question it is obviously me not putting words in your mouth I am seeking clarification?

No matter, since I am pretty sure I do not agree, if you are saying that we must have proof of works and faith to be saved???

Ok let's see if I can explain this

You quote my following post

Actually I was looking for the sin of unbelief in Jesus.

But amen to your post above.

Jesus is the cure for our sin.
You respond with, I will not quote the whole post but the parts that caught my attention

Here is the lie. Jesus was the atoning sacrifice for sin, but not to allow us to continue to sin.

Now can you see why I questioned?

On a complement point of view, I had hoped you would understand my point.
But clearly I was mistaken. I am sorry. I will have to explain what I am doing more clearly
next time. I confess I rush ideas, and want to express quickly. Its probably because I actually
get excited about the living God and His living truth, Praise His Holy Name.
God bless you

Hi Bill,

My friend if you can bare with my weaknesses, I can bare with yours lol. :)

I used to wrestle my son, to try out our weaknesses etc. I think this is probably a man thing.
I wonder if subconsciously I am doing this with you, lol. I maybe, who knows. Are you able
to handle this? I hope so.

So many guys seem to think this is a battle of statements, repeated, and the other party is
hit with verbal blows. It is a joke, because it is also so mundane, like a street fight.

But christians often reach out emotionally, so knocking them down is a tactic, especially if
one intends harm. And I have seen the harm to innocents who expect more.
And the subjects are so powerful and have such over powering consequences it is hard for
our emotions to keep up. Like me being a wolf, for saying we need to deal with sin?

I have to laugh, because it is so ignorant to even suggest, let alone say seriously.
But there you have free interaction on the internet, and I say Praise the Lord, because He
overcomes and uses everything without bounds, Thank you Jesus.

the person in denial would be you.

it has been pointed out to you numerous times that the same man , in the same letter, said after speaking about keeping the commands goes on to say that the commands are to believe in the name of the Son and love one another.

believing in Jesus is obeying .

you can pretend these verses do not exist, but they do.

you choose to ignore this.

I choose to believe it.

No brother, you can’t just explain away the scriptures that you don’t like.

No born again Christian will by pass the Day of Judgement, but each of us will be Judged according to our deeds.

Those who disobey the truth will receive God’s wrath.

Those who obey Him and walk-in righteousness doing what is good and right will receive eternal life.

God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”: eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality; but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath, Romans 2:6-8

Here read it for yourself.

  • God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds”:

Very plain and simple

Here are the two possible outcomes for each born again Christian. -

  1. eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality;
  2. but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness—indignation and wrath,

This is what the scriptures teach.

No amount of insults.
No amount of denial.
No amount of twisting and lying.

Nothing will change this irrefutable truth.

Paul is making a point there. Keep reading till the next chapter where Paul concludes his argument.

Romans 3:9-28
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:
Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:
Their feet are swift to shed blood:
Destruction and misery are in their ways:
And the way of peace have they not known:
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

As you can see. Paul is building up to his point, which is clear later on in Romans!

This is similar to some people being HARDSTUCK in acts 2:38! KEEP READING!

Before someone misunderstands you, I would like to add a little meaning to your statement.

If you are GENUINELY SAVED (past tense), you WILL in the future exhibit LOVE FOR GOD.

1 John 5:3 (HCSB)
3 For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,

Now, if you DO LOVE GOD with that GODLY LOVE, the only way it is not a burden, is when you LOVE somebody to the extreme. Therefore, nothing you want to do for that person WILL feel like it is a burden.

Jesus is quoted as saying to those professing their works at judgement time "begone I never knew you". That puzzled me when I was young but later understood a Christian would proclaim their faith not works. While works doesn't save they are proof of the faith. No works no faith.

@VCO Endoscopy plainly states no works no faith

Since you are in agreement with him, how many works to prove our faith?

Do we look to our works for evidence of our salvation?

Is this what you do, this is a very precarious place to put one's trust, the evidence one's works?

Can we separate out what God commands for salvation and what He commands for a worthy walk?

I propose that if we read John 15 about "abiding" they are separate.

Now people with traditional view will not separate salvation from fellowship....now I am truly curious VCO where you are on this?

In regards to GOD being the Judge. Only HE knows who is saved.

Can man judge or discern someones else's heart or Their own heart for that matter?
I know my own heart.
I'm in no place to judge someone else's.
