anyway, I guess since this is not directed to him, I can respond. What you said is true, and just another reason people need to stop enabling these sinners, and place them on ignore.
I am glad you stayed.....keep swinging bro...we are about out of time anyway.....the end is near.....

Our motive is to be used as His instrument.
The Holy Spirit is our helper.
Sometimes, however, we even have to do what we don't want to do.
I don't particularly like some persons in my life, but I always tried to love them and treat them well.
Was this work?

I agree with all you've said,,,,but I also know that work IS part of our salvation and I really fail to understand the problem with this.

Maybe it's called good deeds?
I do think we should obey God....

Hebrews 4:3, 7
“… only we who believe can enter His rest … but those who first heard this good news
failed to enter because they
disobeyed God.”
Physical rest on this earth in the land, but you are too immersed in a false dogma to see that truth....they were already delivered from bondage by the blood and faith.....get your facts straight

Yeah, a King that GIVES ETERNAL LIFE AND KEEPS US BY HIS POWER THROUGH TJE FAITH HE BEGINS, FINISHES AND COMPLETES......we are afraid of nothing....you on the other hand live in fear daily....fear of not keeping yourself saved and of not being obedient enough.....your dogma and assumptions are false Fran and you have no credibility here....one who was banned and back disobeying the rules does not set a biblical example for obeying to remain saved!!!
Hi D,
Yes sir.

YOU set a very good example.

and the lying about Scripture goes on and on.

same man, same letter, " the commands are believe in the name of the Son and love one another "

you can fight against truth all you want, it does not nullify Scripture.
Amen to that one bro......Kept by his power through the faith he begins, finishes and completes is not KEPT BY OUR POWER AND WHAT WE DO OR HOW OBEDIENT WE ARE......COMPLETE POPPYCOCK to believe that anything we do helps us stay saved....

Why the continued false accusations against born again Christians? 1 John 2:3 - By this we know that we have come to know Him, (demonstrative evidence) if we keep His commandments. Who is teaching otherwise? BTW the Greek word for "keep" is "tereo" (Strong's #5083) which means to (guard, observe, watch over) His commandments. It does not mean sinless, perfect obedience 100% of the time, as sinless perfectionists teach.

When we stand before Christ on Judgment Day, works will evidences for or against a man being in a state of righteousness, yet we are still saved through FAITH and NOT by works (Romans 4:2-6; 10:1-4; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..).

So patient continuance in well doing, seeking for glory, honor, and immortality; (vs. 7) is not at all set forth as the means of believers procuring eternal life, but is a description of those to whom God does render life eternal. *Notice that ALL who receive eternal life are described as such, everyone who does good (vs. 10). Good deeds flow from a heart that is saved and evil deeds flow from a heart that is unsaved. Verse 8 - but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness--indignation and wrath. *Notice that ALL who do not receive eternal life are described as such, everyone who does evil (vs. 9).

Yes He did give us a new nature empowered by the Holy Spirit to have the ability to walk in righteousness. 1 John 3:7 - Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; 8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are obvious: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother.

Living in unrighteousness is descriptive of the unrighteous (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Continual living in unrighteousness is a symptom that one has not yet received forgiveness of sins based on Christ's finished work on the cross or a new nature. Trusting in works for salvation is another symptom and renders Christ an IN-sufficient Savior.
Funny he peddlez that garbage....the one's surprised are those that peddled exactly wjat he peddles....Lord, Lord have we not done blah blah blah in your name.......the workers for, salvation losers and obedience self savers.....they will be the surprised ones......
You hate the truth and all those of us who promote it.

He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:4

  • does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
You know, lying does not prove your cause......and your right in this aspect...people like you that devalue Christ, his promises, his power by peddling your self saving straight from the pit lie...I despise!!!!

So....keep peddling and see how far you get from the Many that push the same cheap watered down dogma you peddle.....Your destiny is sealed....found under the banner of the MANY!

It’s called the obedience of faith.

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith: Romans 16:26

the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith

These folks are too busy looking for loop holes in God’s word that gives them the right to live immoral lives of disobedience, rather than just reading God’s word.

I feel sad for their family and children who will be taught their perverted Gospel.

All the young Christians as well have grown thinking obedience to His commandments, His doctrine and His gospel is somehow a bad thing.

So sad.

It will be too late when they stand before Him on Judgement Day.

JPT
Feel sorry for yourself pal....you are the one that has no trust or faith in the work of Christ on our behalf....My handicapped son knows more about the truth than you do......!!

the lie is this-
the same man , in the same letter, after he stated keep the commands , went on to lay out what the commands are.

so, to just snip out one thing that John said, and use it point anywhere one wants , is a deceptive lie, because John stated what the Commands are.

but, coming from one who thinks " believe " and " obey " are the same word ( they are not ). you would not see my point.
Not to mention he flat lied about me...just another deceiver peddling another self saving obedience laced false gospel......one of the MANY I might add......Lord Lord was'nt I obedient and did many things in your name......Saul was guiltless outwardly concerning the law and was uncondemnable....HE OBEYED EVERY JOT AND TITTLE OUTWARDLY and was as lost as they come.....as all Modern day pharisees are!!

Exactly....and it states clearly we are kept by HIS POWER through FAITH....the FAITH HE BEGINS, FINISHES AND COMPLETES.......to say We must keep ourself in the faith is a flat lie and denies the truth of being kept by HIS POWER......it does not say OUR POWER TO DO......
...For to be sure, he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by God’s power. Likewise, we are weak in him, yet by God’s power we will live with him to serve you. Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 2 Corinthians 13:4-5

...For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 1 Corinthians 4:20

We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did. 1 John 2:3-6

This verses seem to be FLAT LIES to you as well.

..."AND YOU DO MANY THINGS LIKE THAT." Mark 7:6-13

...The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? Luke 6:45-46

The obedience of faith is not what you are peddling.

What commandment was Abraham obeying when he left his home not knowing where he was going?

What commandment was he following when he took his only natural born son, his heir who which would be the ancestry of the "seed" of faith to the altar of sacrifice?

Commands. He was hearing...fellow shipping with God. And following.

We are an army. One body carrying out His functions. By faith or believing our commander against the enemy. And the enemy lies. So we make a choice of who we will believe in the garden of our heart.
Abraham was declared RIGHTEOUS AND JUSTIFIED BEFORE GOD BY FAITH without OBEDIENCE TO ONE LAW OR COMMAND......junior cannot grasp that truth, nor the fact that he is as disobedient as they come....NO ONE is without sin and or rebellion in some form or fashion...the Hypocritical Pharisees being to top of the list.....!!

HERETICSDAMNEDNOTSAVED:

You must be trying to prove how infinitely immature you really are. My guess is you are a very immature teenager or younger. We know you are the same person with different names, that gives all the red x to everyone, 1551827275055.png . No, we will not get mad, and you are a lot easier to ignore than you think. And no matter what you think, you are not Christian.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (CSBBible)
4 Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,
5 is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.
6 Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.
7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Proverbs 10:23 (ESV)
23 Doing wrong is like a joke to a fool, but wisdom is pleasure to a man of understanding.

Paul said that we have to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, HOLY and ACCEPTABLE to God which is our SPIRITUAL ACT OF WORSHIP. (1 Corinthians 12:1) and then goes on to teach about the BODY OF CHRIST and spiritual gifts.

...Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 john 3:16)

That is why Paul said;

...For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ NOT ONLY TO BELIEVE ON HIM, BUT ALSO TO SUFFER FOR HIM, Philippians 1:29

So we see here that just as Jesus suffered when He sacrificed Himself in obedience to GOD, His apostles and the prophets before them also suffered and were killed. Did they suffer and died for doing good because of their obedience to the faith?

...It is better, if it is God’s will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 1 Peter 3:17-18

...Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I FILL UP IN MY FLESH WHAT IS STILL LACKING IN REGARD TO CHRIST'S AFFLICTIONS, for the sake of his body, which is the church. Colossians 1:24

They suffered and laboured for our sake and not for their own salvation but for ours, we reap the benefits of their labour and that's what those in the body of Christ do, they work for the salvation of the unbelievers for they also were once unbelievers who benefited from the Labour of those before them. IOW "paying it forward."

...“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now HE HARVESTS THE CROP FOR ETERNAL LIFE, so that the sower and the reaper may be GLAD TOGETHER. Thus the saying ‘ONE SOWS AND ANOTHER REAPS’ is true. I sent you TO REAP WHAT YOU HAVE NOT WORKED FOR. Others have done the hard work, and YOU HAVE REAPED THE BENEFITS OF THEIR LABOR.” John 4:34-38

I would therefore say and believe that;

...As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. James 2:26

And regarding eternal security, I still can't find it in the bible but eternal salvation IN CHRIST JESUS is our LIVING HOPE.

...Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as WE WAIT EAGERLY FOR OUR ADOPTION AS SONS, the redemption of our bodies. FOR IN THIS HOPE WE WERE SAVED. BUT HOPE THAT IS SEEN IS NO HOPE AT ALL. WHO HOPES FOR WHAT HE ALREADY HAS? But if we hope for what WE DO NOT YET HAVE, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:23-25[/QUOTE]
ArguelessActive member 6 minutes ago New #88,882 mailmandan said: Amen! Christ’s finished work of redemption is sufficient and complete to save believers. No supplements needed. (Romans 3:24-28) ...During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 5:7-10 Why? Ask Paul not me. ...We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. 1 John 2:3-6 Why?...ask John, not me. ...in order that the righteous requirements of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. Romans 8:4-14 ...Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:7-10 Why again?...ask Paul, not me. ... Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?” “Why do you ask me about what is good?” Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the commandments.” Matthew 19:16-17 Still asking why...ask Jesus whom you CLAIM as your LORD or MASTER but you treat Him as your SERVANT. ...“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? Luke 6:46 ...“You have said harsh things against me,” says the Lord. “Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?’ “You have said, ‘It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the Lord Almighty? But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.’” Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name. “They will be mine,” says the Lord Almighty, “in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not. Malachi 3:13-18 Now if you're still asking why, take Paul's brotherly advise to you. ...All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. Only let us live up to what we have already attained. Philippians 3:15-16 And King Solomon's WISDOM concludes: ...Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

What is man's purpose of existence?

....For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10

Do you glorify God by doing evil or by just claiming to BELIEVE?

....so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs so that the Gentiles may glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to your name.” Romans 15:6-9

Jesus glrified GOD, why won't you?

...Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us. 1 Peter 2:12

Is it not the whole duty of man to OBEY God? (Ecclesiastes 12:13-14)

Aren't you the righteousness of God IN CHRIST JESUS?

... God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that IN HIM we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Would you rather be an instrument of righteousness that leads to HOLINESS and resulting to ETERNAL LIFE? (Romans 6:16-22)

But I am afraid that just as Eve was DECEIVED by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be LED ASTRAY from your sincere and pure DEVOTION TO CHRIST. (see john 14:15-24 & luke 6:46) 2 Corinthians 11:3

Why do you think that BELIEVERS were warned not to be DECEIVED?

...He replied, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him. This is why I speak to them in parables: “Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand. In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: “‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving. For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’ But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. For I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous men longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

“Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path. The one who received the seed that fell on rocky places is the man who HEARS THE WORD and at once RECEIVES IT with joy. But since he has NO ROOT, he lasts only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, he quickly FALLS AWAY. The one who RECEIVED THE SEED that fell among the thorns is the man who HEARS THE WORD, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke it, making it UNFRUITFUL. But the one who RECEIVED THE SEED that fell on good soil is the man who HEARS THE WORD and UNDERSTANDS IT. He PRODUCES A CROP, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

The Parable of the Weeds
...Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in HIS FIELD. But while everyone was sleeping, HIS ENEMY came and SOWED WEEDS AMONG THE WHEATS, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. LET BOTH GROW TOGETHER UNTIL THE HARVEST. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’” Matthew 13:11-30

Both the weeds and wheat grow in the same FIELD.

...The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the sons of the kingdom. The weeds are the sons of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels. “As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and THEY WILL WEED OUT OF HIS KINGDOM everything that causes sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. Matthew 13:38-43

Who will the angels WEED OUT of GOD'S KINGDOM? Aren't they supposed to belong to GOD'S kingdom first before they can be weeded out of it?

...At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and MANY FALSE PROPHETS WILL APPEAR AND DECEIVE MANY PEOPLE. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,(becoming DISOBEDIENT, because LOVE IS WALKING IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS COMMANDS) but he who STANDS FIRM TO THE END WILL BE SAVED. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:10-14

....“I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but YOU ARE DEAD. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I HAVE NOT FOUND YOUR DEEDS COMPLETE IN THE SIGHT OF MY GOD. Remember, therefore, what you have RECEIVED and HEARD; OBEY IT, and REPENT. But if you do not WAKE UP, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Revelation 3:1-3

The church is the BODY OF CHRIST whom He will SAVE. Ephesians 5:23 WEEDED OUT OF every wickedness

So to those who reject and nullify God's word and refuse to take heed of God's warnings about the appearance of the DECEIVER with his FALSE CHRISTS, PROPHETS AND .TEACHERS, the LIARS who do not have the TRUTH in them

...DO NOT BE ARROGANT BUT BE AFRAID… For if God did not spare the natural branches, HE WILL NOT SPARE YOU EITHER. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, PROVIDED THAT YOU CONTINUE in his kindness. Otherwise, YOU ALSO WILL BE CUT OFF. Romans 11:21-22

...The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE.” Luke 3:7-9

I don't claim to understand why....
but Jesus said we are to be baptized.

Mathew 28:19
He sends the Apostles out on the Great Commission and tells them to make disciples of all nations and to baptize in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL that Jesus has taught.

He taught that we're to be baptized and Jesus is telling the Aposles that we are to observe what He taught, so we should be baptized.

I would do what Jesus said and not take any chances.
Disobedience runs deep once we start to disobey.....

1 John 2:4

It seems as if YOU make up Christian doctrine....
I DO BELIEVE that Jesus has already accomplished this.
But yet you push that you know scripture and are well studied....and the 1st act of obedience which is a picture of what has taken place inwardly by faith you do not understand........shakes head.....
