I'm sorry if it sounds like that.
It wasn't meant to sound the way you portray it.
It's just the way I talk,,,if someone doesn't care for it, they're allowed not to speak to me.
I very clearly stated how I like to interact...Don't know what more I could do.
Well now we know a little about you and I must say I do admire directness let's take an example from job. The Lord's responses to job came in the form of questions ...can you tell me....can you show me...ECT.
The Lord said to come together and reason.....if we all want to rattle our sabers who's ear will we cut off???
There are many here who are very gifted in scripture and many saints such as yourself have a zeal for the truth.
This is a very interesting subject and would like it to continue....I'm learning .....so let's proceed...

but you are on a public forum and we cannot see your face

everyone here has most likely made concessions for that fact and realize that walking around like a porcupine looking for a soft place to stick, is not going to make many friends...actually it has nothing to do with friends but better represents what we say we believe

the thing is, you say if someone does not like how you come across they are free to disengage, but you have just chased crossnote across three pages, got the op wrong while you are insisting you are right and basically RUINED what could have been a good discussion...apart from the fact that goes on around here all the time, it's sad that it has to happen at all

you come across as arrogant when you make comments like the above

you really have not got an understanding on the op and yet you said you would not read it again

I am also a straightforward person but I do care how people receive what I say

and I do think some of what goes on in another thread has been carried over into this one with the same arguments and they have nothing to do with the OP!!

It is a habit of some people to try to go across threads after a person. What she would have against Crossnote I have no idea. I guess like many he had to say somethign which she did nto like

Then again, She has been banned before. So to say she has an honorable reputation would be a mistake.. Some people just can not change.

You're on a public forum too..
and you don't sound too friendly.

Go read all my posts and tell me where I was mean or condescending.

Here's what one member said to me:
Find yourself a basic systematic theology book and learn the difference between Communicable and Non Communicable attributes.

I kept talking to him. I'm not a crybaby...
if you can't take the heat stay out of the kitchen.

I'm NOT leaving the kitchen.

And, BTW, I asked to have the OP explained since I didn't understand.
I DID NOT insist that I understood it. Find that post.

And this is the last time I'm speaking about ME.
If you want to discuss theology, fine.

If you want to discuss ME,,,you'll have to get my husband's approval.

Because we love you😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄
I'm pretty sure you don't mean it since we don't know each other.
But I'm not willing to dislike you because of the POSSIBILITY that you're being sarcastic.
I like everyone till I get mistreated...and I HAVE BEEN mistreated on a different thread.
:(

No problem. Back to the O.P.
If I ONLY understood it!

Now...moral law....written law.......common law......which is it that we are dead to??
There were 3 types of law in the O.T. that had to be kept by all the Israelites....

Civil, Ceremonial and Moral.
The 10 commandments is the Moral Law.
This will never be abolished.

The civil law is abolished
The ceremonial law is abolished.

It would be impossible today to keep these laws since we live in a different country, a different culture, and a different era.

How could we be dead to a law (Moral) that still exists?

Our whole being is dead,,but to sin and death, not to good morals. (10 commandments)

1 Peter 2:24
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

Romans has a lot of verses on this...
I like:

Romans 6:6
knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;

Just goes to show how low people will go. And how much they will not even admit their own sins. I have been here since day 1, and have been following this thread, yet I AM FOLLOWING HER????:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

Some people need to get over themselves. The truth is the truth.

Well EG,
This is the 3rd or 4th time you're speaking about me...so YOU figure it out.

How about concentrating on the thread and not me?

I know I'm beautiful and irresistible,,,but try to control yourself.
Thanks.

I wouldn't say so...

Leviticus 19:19 NKJV
[19] 'You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.

Good question....
Except Abraham lived 4,000 years ago, in a different place and culture.
I don't think we'd want to use him as an example for us today.

Isn't it wonderful how Jesus' example of for ALL TIME !
Well Paul certainly used Abraham as the key example in Galatians Chapter 3, to show us how life will be like for us under an unconditional covenant.

Abraham was not perfect, he lied twice, but God continue to bless him, showing us the unmerited favor given to us, because of what Jesus did.
