Not according to Ephesians 2:8 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, (and works? NO faith) and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Not of the works of the law:

The Burnt Offering; The Grain Offering; The Fellowship Offering; The Sin Offering; The Guilt Offering; Dietary Laws; Purification After Childbirth; Cleansing From Infectious Skin Diseases; Cleansing From Mildew; Discharges Causing Uncleanness; The Day of Atonement; Rules for Priests; The Sabbath; Firstfruits; The Passover and Unleavened Bread; Feast of Weeks; Feast of Trumpets; Feast of Tabernacles; Oil and Bread Set Before The LORD; the Sabbath Year; The Year of Jubilee; Circumcision.
An empty profession of faith that remains alone - "barren of works" is dead. (James 2:14) Not to be confused with living faith (Ephesians 2:5-8). I'm not looking to keep sins. That is a straw man argument.
No faith alone is dead and cannot save. Faith alone does not save and then if you do obey later you were really saved.
Like a wait and see if you really were saved? No. Jesus' words are forever. Jesus says to repent.
I've hear others who attend various false religions and cults (including Roman Catholicism and Mormonism) make the same claim, then also turn around and pervert the gospel.

That's a lot of "I". Those who have placed their faith (belief, trust, reliance) in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation have already repented. You seem to re-define repent as "sinless perfection." Works-salvationists confuse the "fruit of repentance" with the "essence of repentance" and end up teaching salvation by works.
You can't stop speaking about obeying God. You should be concerned about that.

Not merely works of the ceremonial law//circumcision/offerings etc.. but works in general (Romans 4:2-6; Titus 3:5; 2 Timothy 1:9 etc..). You cannot dissect good works from the moral aspect of the law (Matthew 22:37-40) The saved by “these” works and just not “those” works argument is bogus.

Saving faith in Christ does not remain alone — “barren of works” but we are still saved through faith and not by works. Faith in Christ is the root of salvation and works are the fruit. No works produced at all demonstrates there is no root. Simple!

Sad to say no one knows. The site reserves the right to do what it sees fit to do.
People suspect some to be returners, but then everyone is anonymous so who knows.
If they hate what you are saying you will become someone from their past as well lol :ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:
I am glad we are all anonymous, means the subjects should dominate not personalities. :coffee::coffee::coffee:

Rewards, Given to Gods children, Gold silver precious stone. Wood Hay Straw..

What? Wood and hay are given from God?

Even after the work is tested, if nothing is left but ashes, As paul said, THEY ARE STILL SAVED.

Read it again, it is about building on the FOUNDATION. You are not on the foundation unless you repented of your sins.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
Salvation is NOT A GIFT. When will you understand this??

Of course, salvation is a gift.

Yep. It also says to test all spirits to see if they are from God. And to study to shew yourself approved a workman who needs not be ashmaed.

Believing in false gospel will end up in your destruction.

You should think about that more.

So Paul. Like Abraham, Was saved because he had faith

Paul did not save himself. And you will not find a place where paul said he was saved because he did any works..
Paul repented of his sins.

As for you preaching falseness about not having anything to do with our salvation, read this:

Acts 2:40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation."

See that, it proves further your scary and weird fear about obeying God.

He went, BECAUASE HE HAD FAITH

What par of that is so hard for you to comtprehend?

He was saved BEFORE he got up. God did not need him to prove his faith. I am sorry you fail to think God is so weak and so unknowing he needs us to prove ourselves before he saves us. And does not already KNOW our true heart and if our faith is real or not.

Stop trying to say you talk for God when you mock him, His character and his diety

I never said we have to repent of sin, WE CAN”T REPENT OF WHAT WE DO NOT KNOW. How in Gods name do you think you repented of sin, when you do not even inderstand what sin is (no person who is not yet saved understand truly what sin is?)
That is not true! Jesus tells us plainly what is sin.

this is too much. my brain is about to explode.

the guy who refuses to recognize the actual definition of the word sin just wrote an essay about watering down sin.

I think we have the most un-self aware person on the planet.

I have to put you on ignore. I can't take this personal trip through your thoughts and emotions anymore.

good luck with your personal psychology exam.
Not to get into psychiatry, but unself aware...isn't that called narcissism?

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring
lion looking for someone to devour.
Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers
throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ,
after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
1 Peter 5:8-10

A roaring lion tries to provoke a response, and then uses the response against the
provoked individual.

The pharisees did it against Jesus all the time. Questions were raised to try and make
Him look stupid and catch Him in blasphemy and thereby justify His death.

You know when this is happening because the questions have little point but to
create controversy and division. So beware of people who want to do this to you
God bless you brothers and sisters, In Christ the devil cannot touch us at all, Amen.

narcissism
/ˈnɑːsɪsɪz(ə)m,nɑːˈsɪsɪz(ə)m/Submit
noun
excessive interest in or admiration of oneself and one's physical appearance.
synonyms: vanity, self-love, self-admiration, self-adulation, self-absorption, self-obsession, conceit, self-conceit, self-centredness, self-regard, egotism, egoism, egocentricity, egomania
PSYCHOLOGY
selfishness, involving a sense of entitlement, a lack of empathy, and a need for admiration, as characterizing a personality type.
PSYCHOANALYSIS
self-centredness arising from failure to distinguish the self from external objects, either in very young babies or as a feature of mental disorder.

A follower of Christ is the opposite to a narcissist, because they regard others better
than themselves and desire to serve and help them to their benefit at a cost to themselves.

For works that do not endure. Yes.. And they are burnt and all that is left is ashes.

Read it again, it is about building on the FOUNDATION. You are not on the foundation unless you repented of your sins.
Again with your strawman, it takes much more than just repenting from sins to bring a person to faith.

This is the BEMA seat judgment, There will BE NO BELIEVERS AT THIS JUDGMENT SEAT.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
This is talking about the gospel. You have not even figured this out yet. Why are you using it to prove me wrong?

Of course, salvation is a gift.
Then why do you not practice this? Why do you demand salvation must be earned?

You can not earn a gift, You earn a wage or reward.

You should think about that more.
Think What? ABout how we should test all spirit. And if anyone teach a gospel different than the one true gospel. Paul said they should be accursed?

You should study more..

Paul repented of his sins.
Paul repented. Of EVERYTHING.

Paul did not even have a capacity of knowing all the sins he commited. So he could not have commited of ALL his sins..

As for you preaching falseness about not having anything to do with our salvation, read this:

Putting Christ on the throne

Our lives in love and obedience put Christ on the throne.
Some have used the idea that putting Christ on our throne through obedience
is adding to our justification, so diminishing Christ and exalting us.

That is idiotic about such an idea, is putting Christ on the throne of ones life
is exalting Him and His ways, which the opposite of exalting ourselves.

In truth if one continues in sin, one is exalting selfish sinful behaviour above
the ways of Christ and walking in rebellion against the cross and the walk of faith.

But then those who follow another way would create the opposite of Christs ways.

how about this- I will repent of a sin right now.

you are new, so I will tell you- a few weeks ago I declared that I would not interact with any who were just here to argue and stir up trouble.

I have since stated doing so again. so , I broke my word and told a lie.

now, I will repent from my broken word here, and reaffirm that statement.

i am adding you to my ignore list.

you think in some way that it is a sin not to get married?

that is the dumbist thing i ever heard a so-called " Christian ". say.

buy.
So that proves it, you haven't given up any sins.

It seems you are begging to know when it is not right to stay single, so I will tell you:

1 Corinthians 7:8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

1 Corinthians 7:27 Are you pledged to a woman? Do not seek to be released.

1 Corinthians 7:36 If anyone is worried that he might not be acting honorably toward the virgin he is engaged to, and if his passions are too strong and he feels he ought to marry, he should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married.

1 Timothy 5:14 So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander.

A different faith

Islam created a well developed model of the world, 50% of the Koran answers questions from others.
Once a new view has been established there is probably not a way back for these believers.

When talking to muslims I became aware how they constructed their life view.
The core foundation is the foundation in their world view. Everything else grows from this.

Jonah is our foundation. Repentance in dust and ashes, accepting the way of righteousness.
And like most things where the argument cannot be won, things get distracted from.

Nazarene Church statement of faith
8. We believe [that repentance, which is a sincere and thorough change of the mind in regard to sin, involving a sense of personal guilt and a voluntary turning away from sin, is demanded of all who have by act or purpose become sinners against God.] [T]the Spirit of God gives to all who will repent the gracious help of penitence of heart and hope of mercy, that they may believe unto pardon and spiritual life. Repentance, which is a sincere and thorough change of the mind in regard to sin, involving a sense of personal guilt and a voluntary turning away from sin, is demanded of all who have by act or purpose become sinners against God.

We believe that all persons may fall from grace and apostatise and, unless they repent of their sins, be hopelessly and eternally lost. We believe that regenerate persons need not return to sin but may live in unbroken fellowship with God through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit who bears witness with our spirits that we are children of God.

(2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalms 32:5-6; 51:1-17; Isaiah 55:6-7; Jeremiah 3:12-14; Ezekiel 18:30-32; 33:14-16; Mark 1:14-15; Luke 3:1-14; 13:1-5; 18:9-14; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 17:30-31; 26:16-18; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:8-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 2 Peter 3:9)

Amen.

Of course people can choose their faith and way of having faith, but this is mine and all those
who attend the Nazarene Church and agree with its articles of faith.

What a joke.

He repents like you say he should, But because he repented. He is not saved or whatever you think

This is laughable. What is sad is that people buy your nonsense. I am sorry, but that is what it is.

God gives the GIFT to whomever He wants, and He says He gives it to those who obey Him.
No he said those who obey him have been given the gift. (Descriptive)

He gives the gift to those who believe in him, , or those who call out to him, and those who confess him, not those who work. (See all the passages I posted)

If he gives it ONLY because people obey him, it was not a gift, it is a reward, or a wage

Again, You still refuse to acknowledge all the verses I posted. Whats wrong are you afraid?

What part of a child of God can not continue in sin do people not understand?

what part of whoever lives in sin has NEVER SEEN GOD or KNOWN HIM do people not understand??

Was John a liar?

Do we trust the apostle John, who walked with Christ. Or these legalistic enemies of the cross. Who call John a liar?
So you don't believe Jesus who says to REMAIN in him?

We are to remain in Jesus.

John 6:56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.

John 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

John 15:5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15:6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

John 15:9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.

John 15:10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father’s commands and remain in his love.

Acts 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

Galatians 2:5 We did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

1 John 2:24 See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

Revelation 14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God’s commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
