It is not profound at all....they were never saved.....and why?

Faith plus works for was their dogma <--Galatians states clearly this has NO POWER to save!!!
And if we don’t practice Galatians then who are we?

Like Adam wasn’t born with a sin nature but he acquired it.

Yes the mind is weak, and we all need to work on it being stronger by using self control.
DC gets mad when people teach about what Titus 2:11-15 says and accuses them of being salvation losers.

Canelo beat Jacobs via UD.

28 still in his prime, dont think Canelo can be beat at 160 lbs. My prediction: He will unify the division by 2020. Who can stop the redhead? Billy Joe Saunders?

Did anyone watch the fight?
Nope......cannot remember the last fight I watched....HAH Probably Sugar Ray Leonard

Not sure why you would ask that.........the justification dealt with in Galatians is by faith....they had swallowed a false dogma of faith plus works to finish off salvation and be justified before GOD......the same false dogma embraced by the many that get cast......

I know some people don’t like being these things all the time, I’m one so I know but we can’t just toss them aside

Gala 5
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

I personally don’t believe we are born natural born killers, when you sin in life for the very first time thus you become a Adam 1. new born babies that die when hours or days of being born I don’t believe are judged according to what Adam did.
The bible does say that the WICKED go astray from the womb.

These are a natural by product of the Spirit......and in every believer they are found in different "amounts" levels of growth, some have a few, some may have one, some may have them all........based upon growth and maturity.........just like LOVE for example.....<--let the LOVE of GOD be perfected in you.....this indicates growth and maturity......

AMEN........perseverance = self effort..........

per·se·ver·ance
/ˌpərsəˈvirəns/
noun
persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
"his perseverance with the technique illustrates his single-mindedness"
synonyms:persistence, tenacity, determination, resolve, resolution, resoluteness, staying power, purposefulness, firmness of purpose; More

Hebrews 3:6- But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. (descriptive statement, not prescriptive, do you know the difference?)

1 John 2:19They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us. (descriptive statement, not prescriptive. Do you know the difference?)

Is holding fast and continuing in something the same as persisting in it?

...and you do not hold fast and continue to be saved. You hold fast and continue BECAUSE you are saved. Descriptive, not prescriptive. Do you know the difference?

Of these things self control is probably the hardest to do, no doubt I’m guilty of this, but I’m not the only I see far to many who like me have no self control, at times I’m not patience kind good gentle. if I lack these I’m not very worthy. I can’t keep saying o well it’s a new day that doesn’t cut it, I have to ingrain these and they need to be part of who I am.
Yeah, I've been struggling a lot with self control and sin lately. I can't keep saying oh well, I can't help it and just continue on in it. The more I do this the more I allow it and the weaker I become in Spirit. Jesus died to set me free. So I need to be walking in the Spirit and renewing my mind daily unto Spiritual things and getting closer to God through prayer and study of his word. The only way I can truly be an over comer is through Jesus, but I have to get close to Jesus and as Paul said "fight the good fight".

If I continue to feed the flesh then it is going to be stronger and I am going to keep giving in to it. So I have to begin feeding the Spirit and walk in the Spirit. Jesus died to set us free and to me that means we are no longer slaves to sin and are not in bondage to it. We have to follow Jesus, listen and obey him, draw nigh to God, and walk in the Spirit.

The scripture says resist the devil and he will flee. If I keep entertaining the devil then he is just going to keep hanging around.

I just did a quick search of verses that directly say sin nature and so far it doesn’t seem to be in any verses, so the sin nature is probably a concept.
Maybe under the banner of the "Natural man" <--Corinthians

Well I don’t know I tend to think natural man is just a state before one becomes a spiritual man, a new born baby is born a natural man yet doesn’t sin until the baby is tempted. I don’t think people just automatically sin.

When "I" try to do it myself......"I" always fail...............like the old saying...LET go and LET GOD...............a lot of 'I's" and "I've" ;)

We have all said the works are for reward <---the word is MISTHOS = pay or wages for service rendered.......however.....the works do not gain, keep, top off, finish or complete salvation.........

And for sure we can see every type of work both good and bad in believers throughout the bible..............

so true DC, but our real joy comes when we start to see the fruit of our labors in 'over-coming' our 'old-nature'
day-by-day, and realizing that we are pleasing in God's eyes in our faithfulness...

Yeah, I can't do it by myself. It takes the grace of God, but I do have to be willing and obedient. "I" have to draw nigh to God and follow him.

Paul said:
2 Timothy 4:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 "I" have fought a good fight, "I" have finished my course, "I" have kept the faith:

8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Sure, but we also need to be humble about it......I remember in my life after truly turning to the truth and walking in the truth, studying 60 hours a week, in church every time the doors were open etc.....thinking about some things I had not done and was proud I had not done them.....yep.....pride before a fall and yes indeed I did and it took a year plus to get back up......!!
