Do true born again Christians think like this? This is the flawed argument against OSAS. Believers don't have this thought. Believers sin, all the time, even commit adultery, get drunk, covet, theft, etc.., but eternal life is eternal life. It is up to the Lord to keep that what I have entrusted to him, not me. I don't want to sin, but I do.
The text is not talking about someone who stumbles and sins once. and then repents. It is talking about adulterers, fornicators, etc. Then it says "such WERE some of you.

If I used to tell lies, then I repent, I am no longer I liar. I WAS a liar, but now I am washed, now I am sanctified, now I am justified by Grace through faith.

Yup. Never got that reasoning. Not inherit means you aint in! This is clear in other languages, maybe english is different. Not inherit = you're not showing up.
"The greek" is also clear.

Now whether you want to make that descriptive or prescriptive, thats upto you.
Descriptive :)

So you can be washed over and over? You can be justified over and over? If you tell a lie, you are no longer washed, sanctified and justified until you repent?

The way I understand it, you are only justified once. Cleansing for fellowship happens repeatedly. (1 John 1:7)

But the way we live reveals the character of our hearts. we will not be sinless, but we will sin less. And as you said yourself, we will not turn grace into license. The Bible strikes in many places at a thing called antinomianism. I think that is what Paul is striking at here in the text that we are discussing.

the words of Paul in 1 Cor 6 are very clear. We just need to take them at face value.

Blessings

if they repent, no.

If they say "it's cool, I can commit adultery and repent later, because grace has me covered", they are turning the grace of God into license to sin

if you approach ANY sin like that, you are turning grace into a license to sin
What If they don’t think It’s cool to sin And also they didn’t ask GOD to forgive them Again, will they lose their salvation?

Why don't we just ask what if they become a Nazi serial killer and shoot a hundred people and then commit suicide...will they lose their salvation. Or if a Christian rapes and kills unrepentantly, will they lose their salvation? How far do you want to take it? Or is it good practice to ask such questions as you are asking??

Or shall we say that regenerate people don't do such things?

It's kind of like satan taking Jesus to a parapet and asking Him to jump off, for the angels will bear Him up with their hands...your asking me "how far can we trample on God's Grace as Christians?"

IF your salvation is in Christ's hands, where it is supposed to be, you cannot lose your salvation, because Christ does not fail. But if you ARE in Christ's Hand, you MAY HAVE BEEN all the things or some of the things listed in 1 Corinthians 6, but Paul deliberately used the past tense "such WERE some of you" and he did so for a reason.

Should we be emphasizing and focusing on "we are so secure that we cannot lose our salvation no matter how much we sin" or should we be emphasizing and focusing on "what is God's intention for me now that I am saved with such a great and perfect and finished salvation?

I think the latter choice is far better and more productive and healthy

There Is the answer.

People are saying can you lose your salvation If you are willingly doing all this sin?

I would say If they are willingly doing all this sin that they never had salvation because the Bible says that whosoever has this hope In them will seek to purify themselves even as they are pure.

I have said the part in red many times and been accused of self righteousness and other things for saying it, by OSAS people here. So not all OSAS people agree with what you just said. Difference between biblical OSAS and sub-biblical OSAS

John 3:16
King James Version

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
+++
Ephesians 4:28-30
King James Version

28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with [his] hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
So fornicaters, idolaters, etc enter the Kingdom, but do not inherit all things. (see Revelation 21) Ok, if that's what you believe, so be it.
The way the question Is asked ,the answer would sound too controversial so I will just say those that have been reborn are no longer condemned by the law but now they are members of the body of CHRIST and they WILL still sin but they are no longer judged by the law but are now under grace and they would not have a desire to sin but will have a desire to seek to purify themselves even as they are pure.

I think OSAS people think exactly like my posted response below

I didn’t want to say It because the Bible DOES say that a born Again person WILL seek to purify himself even as HE/he Is pure but sin Is no longer the Issue, The Issue now Is faith.

Before salvation the Issue was to be perfect like GOD In heaven and to not sin but under grace the Issue Is faith.

Can someone receive eternal salvation and lose their inheritance on earthly living when judged at the JSOC? 1 Corinthians 3, 2 Corinthians 5
Does anyone who believes fail to inherit?

Revelation 21:7- He that overcomes WILL INHERIT ALL THINGS.

1 John 5:4- For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

a. Everyone who is born of God overcomes (1 John 5:4)

b. Everyone who overcomes inherits all things. (Revelation 21:7)

c. Therefore, everyone who is born of God inherits.

I am questioning the notion of entering the kingdom and not inheriting. The verses above show that this is a sub-biblical teaching

I put a like on your post because I think you are saying repent after the person has been born Again to be the same as renew your mind.
