Good I don't need this crybaby room
this is not a 'chatroom' FYI

it's a discussion board. it's google-searchable and persists online as long as the server bill is paid and on someone's hard drive someplace as long as they don't delete the backups.

I avoid John MacArthur at all costs and his teachings of "sinning less and less" or you are not saved fiasco teaching.

WHERE DID YOU GET that Dr. MacArthur does NOT TEACH you are SAVED from the first moment you GENUINELY BELIEVED. He certainly does that in SPADES. He also teaches that SANCTIFICATION of the Human Mortal Body is a life long process, ending in the Resurrection.

I've tried and tried to discuss Repentance and Baptism and all I get are whiners and complainers who think condemning sexual sin is a sin and repentance and baptism is a One time thing

John MacArthur teaches false doctrine....but aside from that sanctification is not a life long process.

And aside from that, one does not look to being more and more sinless for assurance of salvation like MacArthur teaches.

This is assurance.....

1 John 5:13
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

I'm

not here to waste my time with lollipops and fancy pants. There is so much more that can be done besides arguing over a keyboard full of bread crumbs
Of course you are sinless, you are too good for anyone else.

How you view everything is drawn from your faulty doctrine .....the false notion one can atone for one's own sin.

Newsflash ....one cannot!

I stopped sinning today
1 Peter 2:13-17 (NKJV)
13 Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme,
14 or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good.
15 For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men--
16 as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God.
17 Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king. [Trump if you are an American.]

Any Sign with Ordinance of Man, attached with FINE, is definitely part of what HE is referring to:

  • possibly they do not think you are correct in what you call sexual sin?
  • i don't know anyone who thinks repentance is a one-time thing. at least, if they do, i'm not aware of it.
  • AFAIK the Bible does not talk about baptism as anything other than a one-time thing.
  • i'm not whining. if you ever hear me whining i am being sarcastic, having a joke about the irony of whining in my classic dry-wit style. what i complain about most of all is the lack of things to complain about.
    • i'm analytical & often pointedly direct about things i don't find myself agreeing with. that may come across as a complaint or whine sometimes but my intention in criticizing & asking sharp, probing questions is to prod a person to defend their case. theorems are proven at the extremes, not in the cozy middle - and if a concept is not defensible, shining light on where it fails ((or conversely, finding the explanation of why it doesn't fail at the extremes)) is eminently worthwhile in the pursuit of truth. IMO.
