Why I now believe that salvation can be lost.

You won't be sealed if you dont Obey the word God. Sorry. Neither will any of Us. We are going to be saved if we are true followers of Jesus. We need to walk as he walked. We need to abide in his love and keep his commandments. If we are not doers of the word we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. So if we are not putting Gods word into practice we are deceiving ourselves and the TRUTH isn't in us.

Whether or not Salvation is mentioned the bible still says

James 1:22-25

SO IF WE ARE NOT A DOER OF THE WORD We deceive ourselves and the TRUTH isnt in us.

We can be sealed and not be a doer of the word, but we are only deceiving ourselves. And no TRUTH is in us.

Are you suggesting that the "sealing [of the Holy Spirit]" doesn't come until after a lifetime of [perfect] obedience?? o_O (as seems to be your definition of it)

Excet God does not expect good works. He said those saved by works are created to DO THEM.

All you have given is that those who ARE saved WILL WORK.

You can not even answer what NO WORKS means, How can we believe anything else you say?

In fact, here. This is what paul says

NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, BUT BY HIS MERCY HE SAVED US (past tense)

So why do you think works of righteousness will save you when Paul said they will not?

Well, the above (bolded part) sounds kinda odd, as though (it appears, anyway) that you think "be sealed" is something WE accomplish... Instead, the Word says this:

"9 You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11 And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to [/quicken] your mortal bodies [<---THE ONES WE ARE STILL LIVING IN, IN THE HERE AND NOW] through [/by means of] His Spirit, who lives in you." Romans 8. [This is saying, He is the POWER-SOURCE, presently... Let's not be among those "denying THE POWER thereof"]

If your like the pharisee,and do not trust God in obedience to the gospel. But instead trust YOUR WORKS, you are in disobedience.

Once again John said whoever sins ha never met God.

ALL BELIEVERS (TRUE) OBEY.
