How can they stand the anxiety?

Or, how can the lack of anxiety be possible?
Only God knows a persons fate. We have but a hope, a hope based on the promises of Jesus Christ.

We were saved in hope. If we see what we hope for, that isn’t hope. Who hopes for what they already see? Romans 8:24

I do not see my salvation, I humbly hope for my salvation.

OSAS believers disregard this hope and replace it with a surmised notion that salvation is predestined personally for them.

I do not live in anxiety but I am ever careful to keep my lamp full and an eye for my masters return.

The term means what it says and is very clearly described.....

The bible is clear....HOPE <--> A confident expectation of something GUARANTEED <---A losable salvation or one based upon works does not meet this standard
Amen! Unlike the english word "hope," the N.T. word contains no uncertainty; it speaks of something that is certain. Strong's #1680 elpís (from elpō, "to anticipate, welcome") – properly, expectation of what is sure (certain); hope. If we have saving faith in Christ then we have this hope. Faith is the substance of things HOPED for.. (Hebrews 11:1). So that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according HOPE of eternal life (Titus 3:7). Works-salvationists, who trust in their performance for salvation do not have this certain hope.

Yes the Bible is clear.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’ Matthew 7:21-23

These verses do not direct us to believe in the Father but to do the will of the Father in order to enter the kingdom of heaven.

A confident expectation in a misunderstood guarantee is not hope but simply false assurance.

You are quite correct. Salvation is predestined to those who wait for and obey the Lord. We should all have a hope of being in that predestined group. Thanks for the Greek.

I never knew you. How shocking. But we.... we... we were so sure it was true. Just like the rulers in Jesus day.

Who are you? Check out your fruit. It is in your every reply. Written by you. Written in the book. Written in the good book for rewards, or written in the bad book...(well I repent so mine get blotted out, possibly twice??? which is better than maybe once. Gives me much peace, I like peace. I like talking to God. Keeps us quite close, but I am so much better than I started out and some day...my good and faithful servant)

Who is your Father? Who do you serve? For what you have done unto the least, you have done unto me.

How are you treating the Lord?

Simply unsaved. Wrong soil, tares etc.
Someone who is unsaved cannot lose their salvation.
Losing Salvation so called is quite impossible by the Words of Christ Himself.
If it is impossible to turn from God, we would not be warned against it. Jesus said:-

"No man putting his hand to the plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God." Luk 9:62

My people are bent on turning away from me, and though they call out to the Most High, he shall not raise them up at all. Hos 11:7

but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him." But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls. Heb 10:38

For when Solomon was old his wives turned away his heart after other gods, and his heart was not wholly true to the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father. For Solomon went after Ashtoreth the goddess of the Sidonians, and after Milcom the abomination of the Ammonites. So Solomon did what was evil in the sight of the LORD and did not wholly follow the LORD, as David his father had done. Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Molech the abomination of the Ammonites, on the mountain east of Jerusalem. 1Ki 11:4

Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, 1Ti 4:1

And so, dear friends, since you already know these things, continually be on your guard not to be carried away by the deception of lawless people. Otherwise, you may fall from your secure position. 2Pe 3:17

John 6:40 - For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. A confident expectation in one’s own performance (salvation by works) is not certain hope but false assurance.

Ephesians 1:13 - Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. :)

Well, this fits the description of the dogs and the sows and not a good description for the believers.

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Philippians 3:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
3 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.
3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.
Warnings against being led astray.

No one is debating that Christians are guaranteed salvation. The issue is does a sincere moment of faith guarantee that a person will be accepted as a Christian on the day of judgement?

Must a Christian die as a believer or does that past moment of sincere faith guarantee a place in heaven regardless of latter actions and beliefs?

Your verses ring true but they are clearly written more general then Matthew 7:21-23. Surely you can see this?

You cannot take a general statement and use it to make void a more definitive directive. That is poor grammar.

You have obviously seen many Works-salvationists posts that you make this statement so casually. Please give me just 3 posts where a person has said "I believe my works are what get me my salvation" or "I don't believe Jesus procured my salvation" or any statement when a person said that "it was by a means other than Jesus". There have got to be a lot for you to choose from to make that statement so casual when it comes to GODS WORD. So please. I have looked myself but seem to be blind to them. If you could just give me post numbers please.

line of logic 1: looking to maintenance for assurance is no different than trying to maintain salvation
line of logic 2: trying to maintain salvation is no different than working for salvation
Therefore, looking to maintenance for assurance is no different than working for salvation

line of logic 1: Jesus had fully paid the penalty for all sins (separation from God), past present and future
line of logic 2: once paid in full, the debt is cleared
Therefore, Jesus have made it so that nothing separates us from Him, and that is love

all future sins were forgiven
Therefore, for the rest of your future, nothing separates you from Jesus, because of his forgiveness

which is what Romans 8:38-39 is trying to say

nothing separates you from Jesus = saved (from separation)
Therefore, you are saved for the rest of your future
Therefore, saved forever
Therefore, eternal security

OSAS DOES NOT BELIEVE THAT EITHER. You are Embarrassing yourself with HOW LITTLE YOU Really KNOW about OUR BELIEFS, and how much false GARBAGE you have swallowed thinking it is true when it is PURE FALSE HOG WASH.

You will have to answer to GOD for these THINGS HE HATES:

Proverbs 6:16-19 (ESV)
16 There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil,
19 a false witness who breathes out lies,
and one who sows discord among brothers.

That won't worry OSAS people though will it. They are Always Saved.

To say otherwise is to admit your religion is a nonsense.

Its called watering down the law in a way they think they are ok, and judging others. Which makes yourself feel better ( i am not as bad as that guy!)
