What was the Old Covenant?

When did the Law of Moses expire? (old covenant with Jews)

What did Jesus do with the Old Covenant (that ended with John the Baptist) once it expired?

When the old covenant expired was a new one made?

What is the New Covenant and who is it with?

When did the New Covenant come into effect? made with the gentiles, greeks and whomsoever would)

When Jesus died on the Cross, bringing into effect the new Covenant, how does that effect everyone today?
gentiles never being under the Law led to this.
Are gentiles under the law of the kingdom of God?

I have very little knowledge of Hebrew, but I think each item of the law of Moses is called Mitzvah (plural: Mitzvot). If I were to put together a list of effective Mitzvot the total number of items in it would be ZERO because Paul said we are not under the Law.

Here is another Mitzvah: To show reverence to the Temple (Lev. 19:30). Do you think Christians must show reverence to their church buildings? I presume your answer will be "no", so why not delete this item?
Have you ever read?;

1Co 3:16-17 NIV Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you? (17) If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

I am not sure what you are referring to then.

1Co 6:19-20 NIV Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; (20) you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

What was the Old Covenant? (Covenant between God And Israel)

When did the Law of Moses expire? (old covenant with Jews) (It has not, it is still valid,

What did Jesus do with the Old Covenant (that ended with John the Baptist) once it expired? He fullfilled it with his death and ressurection

When the old covenant expired was a new one made? Jesus made a new covenant which was better than the old.

What is the New Covenant and who is it with? (The blood of Jesus, the cross. With “all the nations of the world)”

When did the New Covenant come into effect? made with the gentiles, greeks and whomsoever would) (when christ rose from the dead

When Jesus died on the Cross, bringing into effect the new Covenant, how does that effect everyone today? No man has an excuse, everyone will be judged based on how they respond

Are gentiles under the law of the kingdom of God? Gentiles have never been under the law

I did answer,

WE LOVE BECAUSE GOD FIRST LOVED US.

I LOVE GOD BECAUSE GOD SAVED ME

I LOVE GOD BECAUSE HE TOOK THE CURSE OF THE LAW< WHICH I DESERVE< AND NAILED IT TO THE CROSS.

I do not know how you love God, but if you think calling him YAH, or trying to give him righteousness done by your own power is love, You do not understand biblical love
Wow.

Why is this so difficult to understand?

Here's what you're doing...

Me: how do you tie sneakers?

You: because I learned when I was younger.

Me: ok, how?

You: you don't understand. I'm mature that's why I can. You need to learn how.

Me: ok, but HOW?

You: I don't know how you've been tying you're shoes. But calling them sneakers is irrelevant.

-----

Then tell me how to. You keep explaining "why". You keep giving me "because..." this and that, but you're not explaining how to. Here's your chance to teach me. If you believe I don't understand biblical love for Yah then explain how to DO it.

Hi, SG, the pronoun "us" refers to the recipients of your teachings.

Okay, Thank You. I think if you look over the past 3 answers where I explained How the Holy Spirit and scripture guides me you will have your answer. If not, perhaps we can revisit it later. :)

Thats the problem with you lawyers. You are so out to rove people wrong, you refuse to listen to a word they say or even try to understand what they are tryign to tell you.

YOU ASKED HOW.

I SHOWED YOU HOW, BY PLACING MY FAITH IN THE PROMISES OF GOD AND WHAT HE DID.

I LOVE HOW? BY TAKING THE OVERFLOWING LOVE GOD HAS SHOWED ME, AND TAKING THAT LOVE AND RETURNING IT BACK TO HIM. What is the love God showed me THE THINGS I POSTED HE DID FOR ME

I know this is hard for you to comprehend. Maybe if you would actually experience Gods love like many of us here have, you could understand it.

But until thn, we can just try our best to tell you. And hope you understand, knowing full well you probably will not. Then have to listen to you bash us and try to shame us and lie about us.

Good luck with that dude, You will not be able to

I know of many Christians that consider a dedicated sanctuary a sacred place. Proper respect must be made to it. Very common in black congregations today. Does not your church respect something set aside for God? 2question.png

Please answer the question. You accuse others of not answering but you avoid mine.

Greetings Y,

When reading your tagline scripture;
Mal 3:2 NIV But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.

I cannot help but link this to the radical divisions occurring in every aspect of society! Everything is becoming binary! Either or!
I am amazed at the speed and seemingly hopeless spiral that evil is on and the fortification (sealing in foreheads) that the righteous are experiencing. I am not sure if there is any grace being extended to the wicked or not!? Perhaps we are beyond that window.

Psa 37:9-13 NIV For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land. (10) A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. (11) But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace. (12) The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; (13) but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.

It is odd that all persecution seems to be focused on those who desire righteousness!

Mat 5:10 NIV Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Even harder to comprehend is how men who claim to Love God cannot see that they are attacking God Himself

2Ch 16:9 NIV For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war."

Psa 37:39 KJV But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

Are gentiles under the law of the kingdom of God?

gentiles are to manifesting the Fruits of the Sprit, if they are true believers, against these they are no laws.

and no Sabbath mentioned in them.

you judeaizers can yell " Law " at us all you want, the center and litmus test for Christians is faith and trust in Christ, not keeping the Law of Moses.

I see you quickly forgot how I explained to you , how in Lev. 26 God the Father clearly stated that the Old Covenant was made with the fathers of those who came out of Egypt.

Timothy was raised among Jews, do you not think he obeyed God's laws when he was little? We must look at the culture these epistles were written in. View attachment 202163
right. you have to look at and understand the culture of that day.

Timothy , a Jew, was raised under the Law of Moses, as all believing Jews were.

but, as Paul said in Romans 2, the gentiles did not have the Law.

Many brothers in my denomination say that the church building is a holy place, but only during the service. Outside that period of time the building deserves respect, but not admiration as the word "reverence" encompasses. But the important point being discussed here is this: Why don't Law-keepers put together a list of effective laws of Moses?

Christ is a lawyer. What do you think he's doing that on our behalf in front of the father daily? What do you think "advocate" and "mediator" mean? If the law no longer needs to be followed then there's no need for an advocate or mediator. Have you ever considered what are these terms are dealing with? And comparatively, why do you think Satan is called "the accuser"? Terms like two "witnesses"? It's describing a heavenly court of law.

But back to the question. How do you give back this overflowing love he's given you? You said it's by having faith but that's disqualified because faith is detailed as a requirement in the law of Moses which we're assuming we don't have to follow anymore.

You see the problem forming here?

I think you need to go to time out. And maybe the mods need to check out your posts again.

for the record

I LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS.

I just want to KNOW HOW TO LIVE RIGHTEOUS, not THINK I HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED IT. And attack everyone who disagrees with me.

Christ is not a lawyer, He came to save the world not judge it.

There is a reason the priest does not stand in the inner place once a year. Because payment for sin is completed. Jesus died ONCE to save MANY

The bible says we are to walk by faith, NOT BY SIGHT.

When are you going to allow the law to do its purpose and bring you to your knees, so you can see Christ for who he is, and realise you are what you are (a sinner who can not keep the law. Are rightly judged by the law. And as such cursed by the law.

The ony problem I see is your refusal to understand.. As paul said, he has made the foolishness the wisdom of this world to the jew a stumbling block, to the gentile foolishness

I know my belief is foolish to you. Because the law is a stumbling block, because like the jews, you do not understand its purpose. Or what it does. And how guilty you are.

THE CROSS is the wisdom of God. NOT THE LAW

You would be wise to realise this gospel truth, it is what empowers us to see tribulation pain and suffering as a momentary Light affliction, How we love God, how we love our enemies, It is when we empty self and become bancrupt

You say I have not answered, I have.. You do not understand because you have not experienced. I can not help you until you come.

In Matt 22:40 Jesus said that on loving God and the neighbor "the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets".

The Law of Moses was based on a Constitution-like document. The christians law is based on following the principles on it, the spirit of the law, which is the real meaning of the Law. Christians are not a nation now, so they don't need a "Constitution" document, but they do need to follow the principles of the law, which was perfect in the sense of showing off what is really good or bad. Not right principle can be deleted from the heart of christians, cause good is still good and bad is still bad, and the Law contains all of it, and it means ALL OF IT. Its principles are eternal.

Like I stated before. When you start trying to keep the Fourth Commandment you will be attacked by Satan and his army. They will come at you with the fierceness of all your friends and family. That is like a threshold point that the evil forces of this world will not stand for. If and when you survive this attack, the Holy Spirit will be guiding you, that is a promise. You won't endure without God's help. 2cool.gif

It's true. It was explained that the wheat and tares would grow together until the time of the end until both are fully mature. Until both groups have matured into what they will be respectively one can't tell either apart.

We may be reaching the point of maturity for both groups.

Still, being only a worker and not the owner of the field it's not my place to determine who's in which group, so I keep plugging away until there's no more time left.
