I was gonna try and add a picture of my dogs but for some the link to do so is greyed out.

Funny thing about dogs is that they love their owners.

Not killed myself yet.
Am I better.
Yes because I'm still here.
God did not kill me when I asked him and kept me from killing myself.

I came to the conclusion one morning when I woken up.

"Ok I'm still alive and therefore there must be a reason"

That reason I know is to do the good works I have been called to do.

But alas I still have GAD.

But I praise God that he has used me to help others who suffer the same but have been set free.

You make think me wrong here but I will settle for that.
30 years of GAD takes its toll, but for me if I can help someone and see them released I'm happy.

I function that way.
Not just for my family but also for the company that I run.

My sleep is good now.

Still wake up a times at the same time but I doze back.

Then the two dogs wake me up for affection.

On a side note everyone.

Please ask for discernment.

Sometimes a hug and holding someone can speak louder than words
My sister was institutionalized for about 1/2 her life. My Dad committed suicide some years back, when he was diagnosed with cancer. I’ve seen more than I care of this life’s problems, but I rest in the many verses in Scripture that speak to me of the transience of all our pain and sorrows.

I have been strengthened to endure the trials that lay before me. If not for my faith in God, I too would probably not be here.

I liked your post. Not because of what you have been through.

I liked it because he has brought you through this.

You have been through so much.
I'm shedding tears at the moment.

Night night all.

Let's all remember and never forget it and always remind others who do not get it.

God loves us as much as he loves Jesus.
Jesus said it.

Let's walk in that with each other and others who God has given us.

Why were you laughig?
Because you said "Dont kill yourself, who will take care of your dog?

Maybe my sense of humour (British sense of humour) got in the way of what you were trying to say.

No offense meant.

For me the hope of salvation to people who consider suicide does not necessarily work.

The hope of healing from those thoughts and the causes is the hope.
The hope of release from living hell on earth.
After all to them it's hell.

I remember you mentioned once before you had asked God to kill you! My prayers are with you, your wife and family! I understand your statement ...just relief is what they are seeking, from the pain and despair!

I am sorry,Sipsey! This has touched your life in a hard way. My relatives just seem to go to sleep and not wake up here. I am so blessed that this has not been my walk! Stay strong in Him. I'm lifting you up in prayer daily. I pray for cc every morning and night. I don't know the ppl here nor their life and hearts but God does! Blessings!

I have suffered with despair,so I understand the feeling. Suicide was never an answer for me but like Bill I have asked the Lord to take me on home. When that feeling is so overwhelming it consumes you even death looks good to us. Thank God some prayers He didn't answer and always looks at us with compassion. We are to be like Jesus,he touched, the unclean, ate with the dregs of society, healed the unfortunate and forgave sins; ALL BEFORE the cross! Are we better than He? We don't have to PREACH at ppl,we have to show them love and compassion. Some folks have NO empathy,NO sympathy and feel as though they are better than others. Addictions are real and a way for some to eventually kill themselves. We are not above the enemy trying to kill and destroy us also,so we must see with a compassionate heart the hurts of our fellow man! We don't need to be pointing out others flaws or faults but instead lifting and even carrying those who no longer have the strength or wish to carry on. I PRAY THAT THE LORD STIRS OUR VERY HEARTS CORE FOR THIS DYING WICKED WORLD!

Thank you! I said this not for sympathy, but to show that any comments I made on this subject came from experience and not simple opinion. I have been greatly blessed with an inner peace and destiny that few I know have. I traveled much in my younger days and saw much in the military and in all the people’s I've met, it is the commonality that is striking.

God quickened my spirit at an early age and placed good teachers in my path. My experiences have prepared me to share this “hope” that is available to anyone.

As Peter states, “14But even if ye should suffer for righteousness'sake, blessed are ye: and fear not their fear, neither be troubled; 15but sanctify in your hearts Christ as Lord: being ready always to give answer to every man that asketh you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, yet with meekness and fear:

Meekness- 4240. πραΰτης praǘtēs; gen. praǘtētos, fem. noun from praǘs (4239), meek. Praǘtēs is not readily expressed in Eng. (since the term "meekness" suggests weakness), but it is a condition of mind and heart which demonstrates gentleness, not in weakness, but in power. It is a balance born in strength of character.

Fear - 5401. φόβος phóbos; gen. phóbou, masc. noun from phébomai (n.f.), to flee from. Fear, terror, reverence, respect, honor.
(II) In a moral sense, fear, reverence, respect, honor (1Pe 1:17; 3:2,15; Sept.: Ps 19:9; 111:10). Of persons (Ro 13:7); of God or Christ, the fear "of God" or the Lord meaning a deep and reverential sense of accountability to God or Christ.

sharing

Thank you for being open and sharing! We so seldom know or care to know it seems what others are going through or have gone through! This very thing may help and strengthen someone else. Blessings of peace and love!

Benefit of the doubt, How have you experience people who you know have not been touched by depression/trauma yet they tell people hey look at this person worse than you, pull yourself together.

You may have experienced this from someone but even so does a person have to be experienced with depression or panic/trauma to say to hey get up others have it worse it will be ok.
There are two different issues here. Someone suffering from depression is not caused by a single issue,
it is a whole person reaction to life. The important thing is accepting and getting to know them where
they are, and then going forward from this position.

Saying that others are in a worse position, so ones reaction to life is wrong does not work.
You do not know what they have been through or why they are where they are, and for some
though they look whole on the outside are deeply troubled on the inside.
Let me take a few simple things. Abuse sexually, physical abuse, traumatic separation from
friends, watching someone die in front of you, continual being run down and rejected,
physical disability, perception disability, suffering from a disorder in the brain that causes
emotional reactions and understanding that is different to average people.

What you see as an unhappy soul, maybe a statement of great victory and success, and that which
is seen as not dealing well is actually a triumph. There was a young man who had constant electrical
storms in their brain, which had many side effects. After many years of determination, they managed
to appear normal, not that bright and a bit slow, but normal. A doctor looked at them and realised to
actually appear like this was a miracle, and brilliant.

So this is why caution is needed, because there are triggers and issues one does not want to set off.
Patience, time, listening, protection work. When one earns the right and trust one can share.
And some disorders as so unusual, what is rude behaviour to another person is the only way to react
to some inappropriate social interactions. But you need to know how to play it, and once you do it
can do very well, within constraints. God bless you

GAD

Generalised Anxiety Disorder.

Thank you! I understand! I have panic attacks at the strangest of times, and they are horrible. I try and keep all that confronts me before Him,for He is truly my only source of relief. I also take meds to keep stablised,I don't see this as a lack of trust in Him! We must make it to the end of our journey to receive all the blessings He has promised unto us that follow.
