Not sure which is worse. People who think this. Or people who thing they are good little law keepers who act like Christians but do not even know what a Christian is
So immortal EG does not notice where his theology lies and attitudes and thinks the other side
are good little law keepers.

Now if you said good little love keepers who are Christians, following the Lord in working faith,
then Amen, I will embrace you as a brother in Christ.

But it is like a curse, you keep the law and think you are christians ....... Not so good.

The elect are potentially immortal, but not until the resurrection and new bodies.
And just like Judas had to stay hidden, so equally to fulfil Gods will, the betrayers will
stay hidden until the time comes. God bless you all.

EG response - You would do best to back off and stop responding to me or about me.. do this, and I will leave you alone again, Keep up wiht your games, and I will continue to expose who you really are..

Now EG has me on ignore. This immortal is not so immortal or even able to hold his position.
Come to faith, get an eternal spirit upgrade that means you can never be condemned or sent to hell.

A heavenly upgraded spirit, made immortal. There was a group of immortals who said they were
the super apostles sent to rule for the 1,000 year rule of Jesus. Only problem was they flew into a mountain,
so no apostles and no 1,000 year rule.

But imagine you actually believed you were now immortal. Would you not want to show this from scripture
and call everyone to join you, especially if it is so simple. Except maybe it is just a part of faith, hidden away,
like a secret consequence of everything else, except just not mentioned anywhere. Opps.
The key physical and spiritual reality of human existence not mentioned in scripture.

Maybe therefore it is simply not true then.
Most of these people are in "La La Land!"

They think they can hide themselves! When actually? They EXPOSE their nakedness! And cry FOUL! When it's exposed!
Revelation 3

17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and BLIND, and NAKED:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

"for WHOM the bell tolls!" "It TOLLS for THEE!"

The question I asked was very simple, just like a salesman asking you what size shirt you wear.

I am already in the kingdom of light, thanks be to God!

"Sometimes someone will talk about dividing the law into ceremonial, civil, and moral categories. I don't think this can be done, but if the poster does think it can be done, well then, it makes sense to me to ask them to do it. If they respond with an evasive answer, rather than just producing the list, that to me is an indication that they have secret doubts. They actually want to be challenged. So, I often ask for more details or post follow-up questions."

I can tell you the "yoke of bondage", pertaining to "the Mosaic Agreements", as it had become SUPERCEDED, via traditions of man, aka talmud, is what Jesus, and His Disciples, and Apostles were referring to, in just about all of their teachings through the entire N.T.
I can't however, make, nor FORCE you to to accept, nor believe me!

I can tell you that the Father speaking through Christ? That He WAS, BEFORE Abraham, and that the Father through Christ, was actually pleading with the pharasee's that the WHOLE of the O.T. was about Him? That, He would SEND "A SAVIOR", that would MAKE A MOCKERY, of "the agreement" aka "talmud?" That this "Savior" would die a very cruel and humiliating death upon the cross! Being of such obedience, this Savior, became WORTHY of God calling Him His only begotten. And WORTHY of sitting at the Father's right hand side. And God, "not thinking it ROBBERY", for Christ to even be called God. As He sits at the Father's right hand, waiting for the Father to "make His enemies as a footstool?" Before the Father even ALLOWS the Son to RETURN?

I can testify of all these things, and more, which are "Spiritually Discerned."

I can testify there is more then meets the eyes of man, concerning "being born from above", and "Spiritual incarceration", where one is "bound in spiritual prison, till every farthing is paid. Not to mention, as to WHOM these farthings are paid TO? As Paul was trying to teach, concerning "spiritual sacrifice/s!" Being "Crucified WITH Christ?"

I can relate, as to how, in one's "pleading" with another in explaining, is like the "giving up of oil" to a foolish virgin, decreases one's OWN oil?
Not, that the oil CAN'T BE REPLENISHED! But, "spiritual incarceration" is the "result" of one's "reckless" behavior, whilst awaiting the Bridegroom.

I can testify that there IS difference between the Mosaic agreement, and the talmud. And, the "list" for one's "paying every farthing back", is different for me, as it is different for you, as it is different for everyone, as everyone, "falls SHORT", in various ways, and depths.

I can also testify, that there are "some" things, that when told to young ears, and eyes, that more times then not, cause more HARM then good. To that particular individual.

You keep asking me! You are asking the WRONG one!

Ask Him, who SENT His Savior!

I don’t think he made it in reach I think he picked ten knowing we could not keep them

Remember the person who said he kept the law since birth and Jesus said sell all you have. He was trying to show the person he did not keep the law but the person was rich and did not see what Jesus was really trying to do, which was show him he had not followed the law he was in disobedience to the first command at the very least (loved money more than god)

Sadly I think so many think because they don’t covet Don’t murder or commit sexual sin don’t do drugs etc etc think to themselves, well they are good people and they are following the law.

Unfortunately. Like I am sure you know. When we come to Christ. We realize how wrong this thinking is. We can not even keep the 1st command 24 7. Let alone the rest , like Jesus showed in the sermon on the mount

Which should bring us all to Christ in humility. Realizing the law condemns. And we are law breakers not law keepers. Only Christ kept the law
Definitely not keep the fuller sense of the law, which is what I think would be required for eternal life, and that was what the young man had asked about.

Genesis 6: 5. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was
only evil continually.

What I'm hearing from you is that different people will have different lists of which laws are the moral laws out of the law of Moses.

And that it can be dangerous to share your list with an immature believer, so that's why it can't be published on the internet.

Even talking about what fabrics you wear could be harmful to a young Christian.

Am I understanding you right?

Are you sure you understand what the "young man" was further inquiring about, and, that Jesus understood his further inquiry and declared what further beyond obedience to the Torah was required?

Mat 19:23-24 NIV Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (24) Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."

Do you see two different Kingdoms?

Is it possible that access to one differs than access to the other?

Eternal life is very much a physical thing, which is why we will have new bodies and God
will dwell with man. I suspect we will be quite surprised at how similar and different it will be.

Imagine a believer saying John and Jesus are wrong. In the hierarchy of authority this would
be a grevious position to take. Now in truth we could be making this mistake, but in our hearts
I am sure we would know, because the Holy Spirit would tell us. I have at times felt the rebuke
of the Lord and humbled myself.

So the position is those who are born again, are eternally safe in Him.
The parable of the merciful King, forgiving a debt illustrates something profound.
Relationships and respect at this honouring of another and working together, as independent individuals
but with responsibility for our work. God says He is like this. He looks at a situation, and gives mercy and
cleansing.

Now we think of these things like we would know, it is something stupendous. But when a plate is dirty,
how profound is it when it is cleaned. It is still a plate, and serves its function, it is now just clean.
We are no different, we are still people living our lives except we have been cleansed and purified.

And as we follow Him, so our love and bond with Him grows in our hearts and we find we can walk in the
Kingdom, deeper and stronger with each day. But Paul said something also. If we sow to the sinful nature
we polute this precious gift of life, destroy the purification and cleansing and will die.

The failure is in recognising the absence of sin by its cleansing is eternal life, a state of communion and
walking with Jesus. Like any journey, destroy the security and basis of it, the journey ends. While on the
road we are 100% safe and secure, kept by the heavenly host, guarded and encouraged to walk further on.

So the lie here is the idea we are locked in to God through a mystical eternal spirit that we have become,
rather we are saints walking Jesus's way on the road of the Kingdom. But then for these people the Kingdom
is this other side, which the flesh keeps us from, but that we have now become.
Crucify our flesh daily. It isn't a once in your life and done event. It is a war between the good spiritual man and the sinful carnal man.

I think the man loved his riches,

And he thought ke kept the law

And jesus tried to show hi how he did not (he was mistaken) because he loves his money more than he loved God.

Can you answer my question?

Can you please be patient? BTW do you use voice to text? Just wondering. I will comment on your comments after Dan comments. Hint, look for much broader context.

Thank you for highlighting a linguistic problem.
Our righteousness is by faith alone, but this faith alone shows itself in fruit, works, the outworking of
our rebirth and transformation into saints.

Working faith as opposed to passive faith.
For some this is an obvious reality, for others passive faith is their option.

But I was asking are you an eternal spirit, or just born again?
I realise the immortals mean different things from scripture than I do, so it is helpful so I can put on
my immortal translation head set. I must apologise if you are an immortal for I am merely a saint,
a follower of Jesus, I have not attained yet to the realms of immortality, whether spiritually or physically.
God bless you
Yes. I noticed that legalists and judaizers understand scripture all in a works based mind-set.

I recognize it right away. Sometimes it is law based. Sometimes it is imagination based. But its ALWAYS works based.

Its how I understood scripture at first. I bet it is how everyone understands scripture at first. Until they come to Christ and receive Rest.

Kind of weird though, I don't think I've ever seen a legalist back-pedal so fast. Did you actually understand what I was posting? I don't think I've ever gotten that from a legalist before.

We serve and obey from the Spirit of the Law. You chastise from a misinterpreted letter from Paul.
I assume you aren't kidding.

You serve and obey the Law?

And you come to a Christian site and expect no correction?

C'mon bro. You don't really consider a little correction to be chastisement do you?

I would like to offer you encouragement but you twist my words and intent too often.

But my prayers are for Gods will and glory, and all those who answer the call to seek His will on Earth as it is in Heaven.
The Lord works in mysterious ways, doesn't He?

It also fits in with your question

You always want me to look for stuff which is not there. So forgive me if I am skeptical

Human Beings Being Human

It would be great if human beings
Were great at being human
And if all of mankind
Were made up of kind men
It would be wonderful if common knowledge
Was knowledge commonly known
And if the light from being enlightened
Into every heart was shown
It would be fantastic if the war to end all wars
Was the last war that we fought
It would be amazing if we learned the lessons
From every lesson we were taught
It would be cool if our freedom
To us was freely granted
And if every seed of kindness
Would grow wherever planted
It would be glorious if neighbors were neighborly
And prejudice a forgotten word
It would be awesome if we shared everything
And being greedy was absurd
It would be spectacular if the golden rule
Was golden to every man
And the good things that we ever did
Was everything that we can

I can't help but laugh a little with the language that is used sometimes.

How some people claim they are persecuted for righteousness sake after they say they work at the law and a Christian corrects that wrong thinking.
