Shine light on maintaining my salvation? You offer a complete and total oxymoron.
I am shining my light on you and your attitude my friend.
It is how we treat others that declares the state of our hearts not the theological facts or
otherwise we believe must be communicated.

Love is the first fruit of the Holy Spirit when we receive it. It is not education that circumcises the heart. Without love we are nothing.

NIV
If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
I agree with you partly.

The spirit of God is not some force that takes control of anyone, it is the understanding that comes from God. It is not a feeling that someone can say "i felt something..." nor can anyone claim a date and say "..on this date...". The understanding of truth grows slowly in one as one seeks to understand God more.

What you do with this understanding is up to the individual, you can decide to go against God. Clear example is David; He had the spirit of God but for months planned against God.

Deciding to do as per the understanding God has given you is the fruit of the spirit. So you love based on the understanding of God.

2 Pet 1:
3His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His owna glory and excellence. 4Through these He has given us His precious and magnificent promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8For if you possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Talking to nuns and monks

You hypocritical self righteous jumped up idiots, go and get a proper life.

Or, wow, that is quite a commitment. How did you get into this?

Now which is likely to get engagement and which just create conflict?

Even worse when we believe the same things, you evil deceived liar leading people to hell,
does not communicate well or even make the real point.

Now for those unfamiliar with this type of language, holding the wrong view on something
makes you an evil deceived liar, but holding the right view makes you blessed, in contact with
God and a brother to the end. You might guess the not so intelligent might get confused and
start thinking friends enemies and enemies friends, because it is just playing intellectual games
to cover up sin.

Mention two things, porn and smoking pot, and some go ballistic. Or divorce and adultery,
wealth and tax avoidance. Parents and love, responsibility and support.

It is no wonder repentance then becomes a dirty word, much better to ignore the heart, accept
the promises and believe one is secure and heaven bound. Jesus says this

17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize
that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.
18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white
clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.
19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.
21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame
and sat down with my Father on his throne.

dear friend this is something i would say in the past. but two observation:

one is do we really when examine ourself keep the commandments of Jesus? i know honestly speaking i look and said i dont do this and that, could work on this more...

second is wouldnt you love to know right now that you are saved? no need to wait until final judgment to see if you behaved well enough to make the cut.

i know whom i have believed. i know im saved. if i didnt i would be crazy.
Good luck with that....John was clear...I can know right now....I do not need to wait for the end with some drivelistic I help maintain my salvation farce.....

I can deal with heat for my stance and what I dish out....but targeting my two lost children to disease, my handicapped son and calling me the following names is way out of bounds....

You remind me of others, OH,who were they😏 I remember! Nazis, communist, liberals,,pharisees, witch burners, ect.ect.

Anyone who would do that, has no empathy, no compassion and no conscience. Just remember they do it to make themselves feel superior..

Oh, theres a test? I might take it for laughs when I get bored.
It wouldn't let me get past question 4 without changing the answer regarding who gets the credit for my Salvation?
I answered Jesus did and it said I was wrong that I deserve the credit like a drowning man deserves the more credit for taking the rope thrown from a rescue boat more than the rescuer who threw it. :poop:

What you deem within yourself as love, I see quite clearly as contempt. If I am wrong about this, others will let me know, as will God through prayer.

Right there you have it folks......and exactly why we believe you peddle that which is false Petey.....
I saw a tv show where someone said you could get a heavenly new heart by just asking God,
and He would give it. So they prayed that everyone would get one there and then.

This is how poverty stricken some preaching and teaching is. On this basis the world could
be converted tomorrow. Get all the channels to broadcast, ask everyone to just say yes and
the world is in the Kingdom of heaven.

It is really this naive. But as UG demonstrated in her testimony she did not know Jesus but
wanted this experience of knowing Him. But she never got to that point. For me that is
very odd. I have got to the point many times of knowing Jesus and have Him bless me.
My heart fills with praise and thanks to His Holy Name and the power of the cross to save.

And my brothers and sisters, friends and readers, here is dc taking my criticism of easy believism
and saying I am a false teacher, without regard to what I am in detail referring to.

We are built for a loving God encounter, that will ground us for the rest of our lives as we grow
in Him. Seek Jesus out, ask Him to reveal Himself to you today. It is His reality which fills our
lives and brings us into the Kingdom and our walk with Him that is our reality. Praise God His
elect hear His voice and follow Him. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

If obeying God is not natural to you, then you are indeed prone to the enemy’s desires.
Hear you all, hear you all, smooth can obey God because it is natural to Him, no struggle or effort
he has reached perfection without even trying. Praise the Lord to have one so blessed among us.
