Purifying himself to meet one requirement of the law is not keeping the whole of the law.
In fact what Paul did was a voluntary freewill offering and vow. Not the keeping of a command. I imagine that his primary purpose was to win Jews to Christ, per his own explanation of his own actions in 1 Corinthians 9.

I think anyone would be way off base to take this and teach people that Paul was preaching a different gospel depending on his audience.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

see? Paul says JUST ONE GOSPEL AND WONDERS WHAT HAS POSSESSED THE GALATIANS TO REMOVE THEMSELVES FROM IT
JUST ONE

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

again, Paul states the gospel is perverted ...the gospel of Christ is perverted when you add to it!

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

want to have your salvation revoked? want to be accursed? preach something different than THE ONE AND ONLY GOSPEL OF CHRIST

9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

gee Paul must think this one gospel thing is pretty important cause he keeps repeating himself and uses the word accursed again...which means cut off from God...no more salvation...close the curtain...you are in darkness....you go to hell

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

Paul says he is a servant of Christ and does not serve men

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

Paul preaches Christ...ONE GOSPEL. the law is NOT the gospel and Paul ain't preaching it

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 And profited in the Jews' religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

open the Bible and read Galatians. it was written for the sole purpose of denying any other gospel save the gospel of Christ

I mean it's as plain as anyone could ever have made it
Same guy who supplied the matereal for your rant said this:

7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter;

8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)

You conpletely twist what I mean by 2 gospels.

Perhaps there is a problem in your presentation, or the fact that you claim people DO still keep the law of Moses when they never could, in fact. By "your presentation" I mean, saying there are two sets of people the one gospel is being preached to is completely different than saying there are two gospels. There is only one gospel and it applies equally to Jew and Gentile. Jesus saves! :)

In Christ Jesus there is neither Jew nor Gentile, either, so...

uh huh

I see you are now going to become insulting like you did to people in the
Did Jesus ever tell us that we no longer need to keep the law of Moses?
thread

the huge problem I have with the kind of nonsense you are spouting, are those who do not know better and become confused and don't know what to believe

you pervert the gospel, brag about, insult people and call them liars but I guess since you are basically fudging the truth here the entire time, you consider the end and not the means

you need to consider your own end since you are preaching a false Jesus and false gospel

you call yourself rickstudies....if these are your own studies, you lack basic understanding. if this false gospel of yours is derived from another source, they are deceived and deceiving others

it's a shame

obviously not

you have made the same sort of statements in the thread I already mentionned

I have asked you several times to clarify your posts and each time you dug in deeper regarding your 2 gospel dance

now I am twisting what you said

listen...you are talking out of both sides of your mouth and I suspect doing so, because you did not anticipate the adverse reaction to your personal interpretations

I tell you that you are wrong about Messianic congregations because I have personal experience with one and and have known other Jewish believers and you tell me that wiki tells you otherwise

is there something wrong with you?

you are more than a little condescending and completely wrong

He did say it
He said to the jew the moasaic law was part of the gospel

To he gentile it was not

Thats 2 gospels plain and simple

Does he even know? Or is it all a game?
I am starting to think these are actually his own studies...see his name...rickstudies

but he can clairify if he wishes

this is a new one for me and suspect others as well

I do see some backpeddling going on now though but he is all over the place

Lol wiki is sadly equal to the bible to many people.

I guess it is more reliable that personal experience

no no

I am actually only questionning what you teach

that is not an insult

but then again, I guess to you it is

tell me...you saying I am mixed up about what church I went to and what was taught and I should read a wiki article that explains why I am suffering from premature senility is not insulting and posting scripture is a rant?

I repeatedly asked you to explain yourself...politely

are you not accustomed to anyone asking questions?

this is a discussion forum and not ricks' soapbox special

I wonder if your right, he acts like SG. But there is a twist to what he says that SG does not think.. but they act the same

Attack this who disagree with you

Fight those who have the guts to say your wrong

Attack those who preach what you do not believe,

And if all else fails, put them on ignore.,

Oh and i forgot, the thing that really unites them, tell people what they believe, whether they believe it or not, and when they claim they do not believe what you claim, attack them even harder

if only the Bible was not so clear and so well defined in what it states

you could almost think well everyone believes in a different way

but that is not the case at all

It`s hardly a claim. Go to any Messianic Jewish webpage and see what they say about themselves.

In retrospect I shouldn`t have brought up the gospels. Did you know that in several places Paul calls his Gospel "My gospel" instead of the gosple? Yes there is one gospel but it`s an amended version of the gospel given by Christ. The circumcision gospel is based on the gospel as proclaimed by the Apostles before Paul spent three years being taught by Jesus in the desert.

A contradictory bible is no bible at all, its a useless book a tree gave up its like to make. For no reason.

No one keeps Moses law.
That law requires sacrifices and offerings which must be made in very specific ways in a very specific place. That place doesn't exist. It had been completely impossible to keep Moses law, even theoretically, for almost 2000 years.
We should know better than to speak falsely about such things. We should not be ignorant, nor unwise, but wise.

You just said, it's not a claim at all, it's someone else's claim. That doesn't make sense??
Just because you aren't the only one making a claim doesn't make it any less, a claim.

Well, I thought you might consider what wikipedia says about it. If you found a Messianic church that didn`t keep the traditions it would very unusual. Kind of an oxymoron for such a thing to exist don`t you think? That`s why I think you must surely be mistaken.

Yes they need their 3rd temple. I mentioned same in one of my posts in other thread. The Messianics do what they can, a lot of the tradition can be kept. I don`t expect the Messianic temples to participate in sacrifices when Israel resumes them.
