I did not come on here to argue I just wanted to make friends I can use them...... I'm sorry if I offended any of you I apologize..... my mom and dad have cancer and heart trouble I don't know how long they have so I am pretty down right now I did not mean to offended anyone
 
Everyone's allowed a first thread and yours wasn't bad, just good for discussion which also means good for disagreement. And I'm sorry to hear about your parents. Watching mine get older and have more health problems is hard enough that I'm not looking forward to any serious developments or decline.

No worries Dave. It's an old argument that is easily triggered.

About waiting though, always keep in mind you might NEVER find "The One For You." Also keep in mind you really need to keep living life while you are waiting. Living, not just existing and waiting.

Thanks yeah I believe I overreacted I'm rusty on it's been a long time lol I use to do this on twitter... but I did not overreact like I did on here

I once new someone who did the same thing and became convinced God wanted her to marry Carmen (yes the popular CCM hero of the 80s). She held onto this for Years and years. Despite never having even met him.
They never got married. Or even met. But she did marry someone else in her church.

The moral? Just because one persons life works out one way doesn't mean that is somehow the magic formula for everyone. Don't presume it working for one person means it is the same for everyone. That is not biblical.
