Rhabdomancy is a divination technique which involves the use of any rod, wand, staff, stick, arrow, or the like. One method of rhabdomancy was setting a number of staffs on end and observing where they fall, to divine the direction one should travel, or to find answers to certain questions.

Sylabub
Syllabub is an English sweet frothy drink which was popular from the 16th to 19th centuries, and a dessert based on it, which is still eaten. The drink was made of milk or cream, curdled by the addition of wine, cider, or other acid, and often sweetened and flavoured. (I heard this word in a movie connecting it with food but didn't look up exactly what it was, til now)

Syllabub was a regular pudding when I was a child in England, but we always thought it was originally Italian. It was so full of alcohol that you probably couldn't drive after eating it, but it was cream, lemon and maybe rum or brandy .

Anyway, and I don't know whether I'm doing this right , my word is

[QEUOT="TabinRivCA, post: 4025730, member: 276499"]A filibuster is a political procedure where one or more members of parliament or congress debate over a proposed piece of legislation so as to delay or entirely prevent a decision being made on the proposal

'Jargogle'[/QUOTE]
I was going back to the other new words and thought to pick filibuster. Our national hero, Jose Rizal wrote the novel El Filibusterismo (The Filibustering), sequel of Noli Me Tangere, .

Filibuster is also 'a person engaging in unauthorized warfare against a foreign country, ' where Rizal used the protagonist Simoun the jeweler, the reformist hero Crisostomo Ibarra from Noli, who planned to topple the corrupt and abusive Spanish regime in his native land through a revolution.

This is a great game, but isn't it kind of cheating to look it up ?

Here's one ......"dite", but my understanding of the word and it's common usage isn't the same as the Internet says.

I'm not learned to guess or figure out most of these words, lol, a small percent maybe. Also, part of the thread is to check the previous word and it's meaning, if you so choose. So the word before you is 'Welkin' so you would give it's definition and then put 'dite'. I'll be brave and do both words and see how I fare, lol.
'Welkin'
Welkin is an archaic English term for the sky, the firmament, the heavens or the Celestial sphere. It may refer to: Welkin Gunther, the protagonist in Valkyria Chronicles. 'The vault of the sky : firmament the sun of heaven … made the western welkin blush'— William Shakespeare
'dite'
A bit (usually used in negative constructions): I don't care a dite. An obsolete occasional spelling of dight . To dictate: as, you write. To prepare for use or action; to make ready. The numerical value of dite in Chaldean Numerology is: 5. Lastly, slang for 'doin something to something'.

That's being a bit superior in your attitude.

You're right about the definition of dite, except that it's a common word - a verb really I suppose in Scotland and if means to scrape the cow muck out of the barn. You use a thing called a diter, which is like a big blade on a shovel handle.
