And Jesus seeing their faith said to the paralytic, "Son, your sins are forgiven."

Seeing their faith, He said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven you."

None say faith alone. (By itself) saves us, do they?

We are not saved by faith through grace. It’s the other way around

1 Peter 1: 5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

God guards and protects our souls. He also protects our bodies at times, but this is talking about preserving, keeping, guarding the soul. Because it is KEPT UNTO SALVATION. God keeps us UNTO salvation. That can only mean preservation of spiritual life. Jesus will lose none of His sheep.

He is writing about faith that has become inoperative and not visible to other men by works.... since his letter is based on "the law of liberty" but how to be men of faith before other men.

We been here before Dan, but I hope you will reconsider since this dead faith is a problem especially from the OSAS standpoint, because something dead was once alive and that is basic laws of nature.

JESUS said FAITH SAVES.....and GRACE is a position.....try an actual rendering of Ephesians from the GREEK

So are you saying that your faith is the effectual power that raised you from spiritual death? No, sir. Gods power is what raised you from spiritual death, the effectual power.

IMO, there is a difference in saying faith alone and faith in Christ alone for salvation. The power of God unto salvation is the Gospel of Christ to those who will respond to him in belief/trust. The object of faith in Christ for our salvation.

James 2 is all about "head knowledge" verses saving faith. FAITH that comes from God NEVER becomes inoperative.
