The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, “I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:8-13

So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’” Luke 17:10

Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14

Brothers, do not slander one another. Anyone who speaks against his brother or judges him speaks against the law and judges it. If Paul acknowledges God's and Jesus' authority, shouldn't we?

Does a servant acknowledge his master's authority by not keeping his orders, instructions, rules, commands or laws?

Every kingdom and government on this earth has their set of laws for their people, to establish peace and order.

I would not dare to go to KSA and tell their king that his laws have no bearing on me and I am free to do whatever I want in his kingdom. I don't want to become a headless scarecrow.

If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord’s command. If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored. ...But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way. 1 Corinthians 14:37-40

Submission to the Authorities

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Lucifer did not submit to God's authority. He became proud and rebelled against God. He is the LAWLESS (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12) one and His servants are the fruits of his LAWLESSNESS. Truly that a tree is known by it's fruits.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed the form of teaching to which you were entrusted. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness. I put this in human terms because you are weak in your natural selves. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:16-23

2 Peter 3:17-18
17 Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

Isn't it weird that the legalists and Judaizers quote verse 17, except they use the error of the lawless instead of wicked, but then they fail to show Peters solution in verse 18.

Verse 18 is the Solution for being led away with the error of the Lawless. The error of the Lawless/Wicked is that they think their obedience comes because of their work at the law. If that were true then Peter would have said 'But grow in your stubborn instinct to work at the law'.

Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Paul is saying the same thing as Peter here.

Be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage = be not led away with the error of lawlessness/wicked

Stand fast in the liberty where Christ has made us free = grow in Grace and in the Knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
They cant keep it, then get mad and attack people who acknowledge that we can’t do what is required,

It takes more humility to admit a failure than to pump yourself in the chest and think you do something you can,t

I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. Revelation 3:9-10

Luke 18:9-14 King James Version (KJV)
9 And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:

10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.

11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.

13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Well what did moses, paul and james say.

Deuteronomy 27:26
Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen.

Galatians 3:10
For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Does all mean all? Or does it mean some? If some, which ones have to be kept? And why did moses say all, and paul declair he understood what moses said, by saying all?

Did moses and paul mess up?

Oh, and lets not forget james

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

So, does perfect mean perfect? According to these mighty men of God, perfect means perfect, 1 strike, your out!
No? Perfect also means MATURE! In the Spirit, that is! Which is why God got to the point that He didn't even WANT more "burnt offerings!" as they were "so much smoke" in His nostrils. Because traditions of man, and precepts of man, had stunted/CEASED Spiritual growth, that the "Word of God", was now of NONE EFFECT!

It isn't funny, how much things change, with the coming of "Jehovah's Salvation", and the New Covenant? How much they stay the SAME!

You SHOULD "see" a pattern!

What has happened is y'all have "taken the solution", and rendered it as non effective as Mosaic Law!

RIght back at you.

unless heaven and earth pass. untill ALL be fulfilled. both.

Is that really that hard to understand?
Since the same GOD that spoke the old testament Is the same GOD that speaks the new testament and since GOD doesn't change do you feel that GOD will accept you trying even If you are not meeting HIS Perfect standard of righteousness.

Remember that GOD IS a SPIRIT and those who worship HIM MUST worship HIM In Spirit and In TRUTH.

If you can't worship HIM perfectly with anything fleshly how would you make your spirit perfect?

The SPIRIT Is First then the flesh reacts according to the power of GOD that Is working In you when you are In the process of renewing the mind GOD providing sustenance to those abiding In the VINE Displaying Spiritual fruit.

The words that GOD speaks are Spirit and they are life.

The Spirit gives life not the flesh.

So be ye perfect the way our FATHER In heaven Is perfect could only be talking about our spirit not be perfect In the flesh/mind and only GOD can make the Spirit perfect.

Yes

If you are not under grace, your under the curse

If your under grace. Then you are not under the curse

If your tryi g to follow the lW in either circumstance, you better follow it all, because that is what is required,

You cN not day you obey the law when you don’t. The requirement of the law never changed,
No? Perfect also means MATURE! In the Spirit, that is! Which is why God got to the point that He didn't even WANT more "burnt offerings!" as they were "so much smoke" in His nostrils. Hey NayborBear,

It is interesting how much people twist scripture to justify their sinfulness.

Have a look at the true meaning of the verse they use to convince themselves that the judgement of fire isn't coming for them, but the axe is laid at the root you might say, tick tock.

Deu 27:15-26 ERV

(15) 'Cursed is the one who makes a false god and puts it in its secret place. These false gods are only statues that some worker makes from wood, stone or metal. The LORD hates these things!' "Then all the people will answer, 'Amen!'

(16) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who does not show respect to their father or their mother!' "Then all the people will answer, 'Amen!'

(17) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who moves a neighbor's landmark!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(18) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who tricks a blind man into going the wrong way!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(19) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who does not give fair judgment for the foreigners, orphans, and widows!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(20) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who shames his father by having sexual relations with his father's wife.' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(21) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with any kind of animal!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(22) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his sister or half sister!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(23) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his mother-in-law!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(24) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who kills anyone, even if he is not caught!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(25) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who takes money to kill an innocent person!' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

(26) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who does not support this law and agree to obey it.' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

The tenor of the verse is that if does not commit to support and obey it he is cursed! Not if he fails , but if he doesnt commit himself to the effort!

How many on here have committed not to? That means that they are cursed, not those who commit!

Hosea was right;

Hos 4:6 ERV

(6) "My people are destroyed because they have no knowledge. You priests have refused to learn, so I will refuse to let you be priests for me. You have forgotten the law of your God, so I will forget your children.

At least as you have said we can be here to make sure they do not drag unsuspecting visitors into the pit they are in!

Deuteronomy 27 1- " Moses and the elders of Israel commanded the people .....
seems as if these could be a certain set of Commands with a certain set of consequences for breaking them , that maybe should be not presented in a broad context.

I mean, did you help set up the stones in the Jordan river, as was also commanded in this chapter??

14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Amen to that E.G..

Are you humble enough to submit and surrender to the one Lawgiver and Judge, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, our Almighty God and Creator?

Would you REPENT and ask for forgiveness of your sins and obey His commands?

If your answer is Yes then why do you go against those who are trying to do so?

Are you any better?

So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God. Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not take pride in one man over against another. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? 1 Corinthians 4:1-7

...I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your deeds complete in the sight of my God. Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; obey it, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you. Revelation 3:1-3

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4

As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts. Love And now I will show you the most excellent way. 1 Corinthians 12:20-31

If you consider yourself to be a part of the body of Christ and as you have said in one of your posts that the people of God keep and obey His commandments, edify and help in building up the body instead of division.

You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. James 2:22

The Master's word/s is a law to His servants, written on their hearts.

So, animal sacrifice still stands, right? Do you perform animal sacrifice?
This is like 4 4th time you have asked this or similar question.

I repeat:

Jesus was the true sacrifice that the sacrificial law was made for

Here:

and again I did not say "replace" I said;

"I said Jesus was the true sacrifice that the sacrificial law was made for. Was it not?"

Psalms 40:6-7, " 6 In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. 7 Then I said, “Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me:

Hebrews 10:5-6, " 5 Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said, “Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me; 6 in burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.

Genesis 22:7-8, " 7 And Isaac said to his father Abraham, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” He said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?” 8 Abraham said, “God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering, my son.” So they went both of them together.

SO a few things here. First I want to say I am notthe judge, He is and I don't know His judgement. Wht I do know is that GOd wants obedience and that I also need mercy.

I know Abraham, Moses and the 12 were not perfect, I assume a lot better than me but not perfect none the less. Yet this is said about them:

Genesis 26:4-5, " 4 I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, 5 because Abraham obeyed my voice and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.”

Revelation 15:2-3, " 2 And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire—and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!

Revelation 21:14-15, " 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

also those of God do in some way honor His commands:

Revelation 14:12-13, " 12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. 13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!”

Since we knoew none were sinless besides Jesus, yet we see these verses it is clear obedience to His Commands are a fact. SO to say must be 100% perfect is against all these scriptures and the following ones:

1 John 5:2-3, " 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.

1 John 1:8-10, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us."

1 John 2:1-4, " 1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

These last 2 show we will sin, but must repent and ask for mercy, yet e also must walk in His commands. THe greek put a difference, it is we will sin, but we can not live a live ruled by sin. BOth are translated sin in english but are 2 different greek words with 2 different meanings

Lets unpack that verse?

John 6:63-64, " 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

If His words are spirit and life, then these words are iincluded:

John 12:25-26, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit. He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world shall preserve it for everlasting life." Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.”

John 14:21, “he who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

John 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not follow My words has One Who judges him. The word that I have spoken, the same will be used to judge him in the last day.”

Well the spirit guides to obedience to His law can deny that:

Hebrews 10:16-17, " 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” 17 then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”

Ezekiel 36:26-27, " 26 And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to obey my rules.

and Jesus sets us free from being a slave to sin in our flesh:

John 8:34-36, " 34 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. 35 The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

They trusted not the ways and laws of God, but their own hearts and minds/ themselves. They were so sure "their" way was right, they couldn't hear or see what was being shown them. Be merciful to me "a transgressor of your law/sinner", the spirit in me leading me to repentance, not one who did as " they" thought or felt was right /did it their way.

Don't miss the point that is critical to the error prevailing over you;

(26) "The Levites will say, 'Cursed is the one who does not support this law and agree to obey it.' "Then all the people will say, 'Amen!'

The curse you say is to those who keep even one law! is actually to those who do not commit to supporting and keeping the law! You KNOW that YHWH made room for errors, infractions against the Law, but His primary goal in this verse and Pauls quotation of it in Galatians is that you MUST commit to both supporting the Law and keeping it! Your misinterpretations have put you in the OPPOSITE camp!

You are bringing a "Curse" upon yourself!

um, no.

in the same chapter you just quoted, Paul said that the righteous will live by faith, the Law is not based on faith, that the blessings of Abraham will come to the gentiles through Christ , and that by faith we receive the promise of the Sprit.

and, any who are manifesting the Fruits of the Sprit are breaking no law. and, no Sabbath keeping being in the fruits of the Sprit, so not a requirement for Christ followers...

twisting as usual, you have options, you have chosen the one you prefer. It's what it's all a bout, time to see if a man will choose his will of Gods will....

Romans 9:30-32
30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.

31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.

32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

No matter which way the legalist twists scripture the fact remains that those who WORK at the law are under the curse. Because those who work at the law DO NOT KEEP THE LAW.

Those who work at the law, and attempt to put others under that same yoke, are EXACTLY like the Pharisees of old. They don't attain to what the law says and they ensure that if anyone follows their way they won't attain to it either.

I don't really expect the modern day Pharisee to agree with scripture. If they did, then they wouldn't be a Pharisee to begin with.

So then we must ask the question: Which of these does not "support" or keep the law?;

Galatians 5:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And then as a bonus question, Which of these fruit of the Spirit are produced by your work at the law?

Galatians 3:2-3
2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Is the reader so foolish as to follow the vain janglers, the modern day Pharisees?

Did you know that Peter calls their way the error of the wicked? Growing in Grace and in the Knowledge of the Lord is our solution. Not following a bunch of blind guides.

As usually you ignored all i said.

yes, perfect can mean mature

but as i proved, in this case, perfect means perfect.

good day sir

Hosea was right;

Hos 4:6 ERV

(6) "My people are destroyed because they have no knowledge. You priests have refused to learn, so I will refuse to let you be priests for me. You have forgotten the law of your God, so I will forget your children.

At least as you have said we can be here to make sure they do not drag unsuspecting visitors into the pit they are in!

i am not justifying mine

i am owning it,

when will you own yours? And stop denying yours?

Confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and walk in Love.

God is good and His Love endures forever. Amen.
Hey

i did that almost 40 years ago, when like the tax collector i got on my knees and cries out,

then i became an arrogant christian legalist who tried to live by rules and mocked people who did not, and judged them

then i found true grace, and have been fighting for it ever since because i have seen first hand what phariseeism does not only to a person, but the church. And its not goof.
