I'm only human. Half sn hour ago I was just thinking how much I disliked my boss. A few incidents have reinforced my view of this guy's ruthless empire building and doing whatever it takes to get there.
But he always pays on time. My work day is usually stress free. Just occasionally I am reminded thatcthis person sees his employees as a means for him to acquire wealth. Thats all.

The more you think about hatred, the more hateful you become?
thanks IFH.
I Follow Him is a member here who taught me that.
I need to pray every time I have a hateful thought. Nip it in the bud.

Hate actually causes a chemical reaction in the one who hates that impacts their health and longevity.

I don't hate anyone. No matter what they're about, like your boss for example, maybe this will help you cope a little, the one redeeming quality I take away from the encounter is, that person that is so bad, so this and that, whatever the bad quality is, lives with themselves as that.
While I can walk away and never again let what they do bother me. It is a choice to let someone elses negativity impact your happiness and peace.

Boy, is that the best revenge! Live your life unimpeded in any way by theirs.

I think there is a relationship with feeling disempowered and hate. Those who have power and status don't need to hate. Unless someone threatens to take that power and status away. A competitor? A rival? A whistleblower? A trade union official?

Well, if their power is by ill gotten gains, I think the whistle blower should pucker up and sing until something changes.
People who gain their power by illegal means are sitting ducks to those who know or find out.
Prison tends to take the wind out of the sails of the haughty.

The boss only starts hating you if you have a great idea that would improve the business, and then you start sharing it with them and they start realising one day they wont be running it anymore and have to give it to someone else. But they dont really want to give it to you, for some strange reason.

Which is why many people become their own bosses.

I mean if you put yourself in their shoes thats the only way you can explain it. Moral of story dont share you great ideas with your boss. Just do the same thing everyday until the business dries up cos it wont innovate.

Maybe when they built the business all they had was the clothes on the back so they just did whatever they could rather than go on welfare? And they had to feed their family? Pray for them, that they can retire happy and not be stressed out from overwork.

Whoa! Wait, hold on! Businesses need to grow so others will have jobs and the economy can flourish. Stop, thinking you have to "shut up" when you have an innovative idea! That is totally, God given! SPEAK UP! Love is not afraid of rejection or discouragement! WALK IN LOVE....SPEAK UP!(y)

Ya know, God hates evil.... what makes you think we should avoid thinking of hatred all together?

Just know the difference between what God loves and what God hates. Live your life accordingly.......just that simple. No need to complicate it.(y)

Let me know if you need scriptures....

Coming from a counselling/psychology perspective, it is ok to have a hateful thought. And not be ashamed of it. In fact suppressing a hateful thought can create further psychological harm. Where you might need to vent by criticising others who have hateful thoughts. Projection. Its what we do with those hateful thoughts. Allowing hate to grow like a cancer is the problem. The journey from mild annoyance to maniacal hatred and anger is one we need to miss. Finding strategies to kerp our mind focussed on God and love. Prayer and Bible reading can sow positive calm thoughts.

Let me share this please!
I grew up under the most narcisisstic man ever and he was mean!
He abused his family!
We lived like it was the " Great depression" all my childhood!
He was military and got ( purposefully) discharged!
MY MOTHER WAS .....LOVE!
I HATED and wanted him dead for many many years!
Even after he died I only hated him,and wished him in eternal torment!

THIS hurt no one for many many years, except myself!
it staunched my joy in the Lord,my love of life, had an effect on my personality............
I then realized one day that I hated his actions yet to be Christlike,I had to forgive and love him.

I was only hurting myself and others in our family by spewing and remembering the hateful acts he had done

Some helpful suggestions..from experience.
- Spending 'quiet time' in parks, lakes..etc.
I like outdoors.
- Listening music.
Especially, 'devotion/worship' music.

Haha well I did and then they tried to get rid of me, so I left. This happened in lots of jobs where I spoke up.

I had employees who said to me dont rock the boat and keep your head down. They were scared I was going to lose my job. Well what do I have to lose anyway. Its just like my career and livelihood.

This also happens in churches.

One lesson I learned from those experiences is that many people in charge only care about themselves and their immediate family. They dont care about the future generations or other peoples children, who they dont regard as family at all. They only think about what they can do in their own lifetime and cant accept that others WANT to help them grow beyond that.

I wonder if some Christians on Internet forums are afraid to appear less than perfect online. That they prefer to be the unruffled, problem-free Christian guru. One who only dispenses wisdom, has no need to receive it.
On the other hand they dont want to burden the community with their issues.
The role of problem-filled drama queen comes naturally to me. But maybe its annoying for some of you. Sorry I need to tone it down.

Maybe i pride myself too much on being perceptive, but what I am seeing in you is Jesus. You are walking the talk as a Christian online. A bit zany too. In a nice way. Just be yourself. Its working!
