All of these verses are concerning the nation of Israel, not the Church. The Church did not begin until after the resurrection of Jesus. This is the flaw of not rightly dividing between the nation of Israel and the Church.

When Jesus returns he is coming to earth, it will be the 2nd advent, it will happen at the 7th or last trump, all will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, it is for the day of vengeance, He returns as lord of Lords and king of Kings, with a rod of Iron, and He will bind Satan for the Millennium, the Lords Day.

No where in the bible does it state He will return before that, for anyone. Man has twisted a few verses to "try to make it fit" It is a false doctrine and it is adding to the Word of God.

It has been proven false time and again.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

After the original rapture in 70 AD, our presence with Christ is ongoing. The presence of Christ returned in the first century and was recorded by Roman historian Tacitus and by Jewish historian Josephus. Christ told His disciples that His presence would return like a flash of lightning (see Mat 24:27). Christ presence has been with His church ever since. The first century Christians did not face God's wrath (the destruction of Jerusalem and Israel in 66-73 AD). Jewish Christians fled to the mountains and settled in Pella. Dead believers in Heaven and living believers on Earth are together with the Lord right now!! Being with the Lord, in His presence, began in 70 AD and continues to this day as Paul teaches in 1 Thes 5:

9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. 11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.

Once a believer accepts Christ, He becomes ALIVE and is a new creation. See 2 Cor 5:17.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

This was the restoration of all things. The "rapture" or catching up as taught in 1 Thes 4:17 was a past event. It happened back then to those who survived and were not killed as so many Christians were back then.

Who was Paul's audience? Who was he writing to?

1 Thes 1:

Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy,

To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Whose hearts were to be blameless when Christ's presence returned? Was it not the Thessalonian Christians?

1 Thes 3:

12 And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, 13 so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

Is Paul still writing to them discussing them or did he change his focus to a group of Christians who would live thousands of years later?

1 Thes 4:

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus.

Who would still be alive, some of the Thessalonians or us? He is still talking to them.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

Again, who would still be alive? Paul is still talking to them and he never changed his focus to a different group thousands of years into his future. Who would still be alive, them or us?

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds

Who is to be comforted, us or the Thessalonians?

18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Who is to be preserved blameless? Could their bodies be blameless if they were dead two thousand years?

1 Thes 5:

23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who was enduring tribulation? Who was to get rest from it, us or the Thessalonians? If it was to be us then this passage makes no sense and Paul lied to them.

2 Thes 1:

6 since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, 7 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels...

This isn't the only time we were told the Thessalonians were suffering persecution at the hands of the Jews who would later perish in the great tribulation of Jerusalem. We see it here too:

Acts 17:

Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where there was a synagogue of the Jews... 5 But the Jews who were not persuaded, becoming envious, took some of the evil men from the marketplace, and gathering a mob, set all the city in an uproar and attacked the house of Jason...

These Christians got their rest from persecution when the wicked Jews returned to Jerusalem for Pentecost in 66 AD and the city was then surrounded by the Romans. They would all perish during the seize where 1.1 million non-believing Jews perished from famine, sword and disease. According to Josephus, the Jews would kill more of their own people than the Romans during the great tribulation.

b. I will tear them from your arms, and let the souls go: God promised to defeat these false prophetesses, and to rescue those trapped by their snares.

i. “God would strip them of their charms and amulets and then take His people back to their land, leaving these evil women behind to die.” (Wiersbe)

c. Then you shall know that I am the LORD: God promised that through the defeat of the female prophets and His rescue of those who were prey in their hands would reveal Himself.

Where are our loved ones? With the Lord who died and rose as are we now that all things were restored.
When will He return? After Satan is revealed. Not Satan, the Man of Sin, Eleazar ben Simon AD 66-70.
You need to read Young's literal translation of Mt 24:3: "...`Tell us, when shall these be? and what [is] the sign of thy presence, and of the full end of the age?' Their age was coming to an end. The Law was passing away and the Messianic Age, our age was about to begin. Note it was the presence of the Lord that would return, He was not returning as a visible ruler. In 70 AD as Josephus (who was with Titus) recording the destruction of Jerusalem says this: "But as for that house, God had, for certain, long ago doomed it to the fire; and now that fatal day was come, according to the revolution of ages" (War 6-4-5). It was how they understood things and spoke, not us.

Why would He bring them? For the Lords Day Correct but the Lord's day came back then. The Lord's Day was always a day of judgment as found repeatedly in the OT.

This actually happened. Josephus records it. The tyrants who controlled Jerusalem used false prophets to keep the people from fleeing and trying to get past the Roman lines.

Josephus: Now there was then a great number of false prophets suborned by the tyrants to impose on the people, who denounced this to them, that they should wait for deliverance from God; and this was in order to keep them from deserting, and that they might be buoyed up above fear and care by such hopes....Thus were the miserable people persuaded by these deceivers, and such as belied God himself; while they did not attend nor give credit to the signs that were so evident, and did so plainly foretell their future desolation...and a great mixed multitude of the people, fled, in number about six thousand.
