God forsook Jesus because He cannot look on sin. Prior to that Jesus was sinless, then He took our sins upon himself, and God forsook him.
You be careful.
I would suggest it is you that should take care. Jesus was God. He did not forsake himself when he made that cry recorded in the Book of Matthew 27 verses 45-46"Now from the sixth-hour darkness fell upon all the land until the ninth hour. 46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"
Jesus was recalling the scriptures in The Book of Psalm chapter 22.

You do not understand Eternal salvation at all, Proven by this post

I knew you were a legalist, All I had to do was wait, peoples true colors always show. Thanks for proving what I knew all along

ps. Eternal life is eternal.

If it can be lost. It is not eternal.

But hey, keep trying to earn yoru salvation. You will answer to God why one day.. I just pray you wake up before its too late.
Legalist?
'Earning' my salvation?
I do not keep the Mosaic Sabbaths and Festivals, and certainly not in order to be justified.
In fact, I don't do anything in order to earn a declaration of right standing with God.
Justification is by faith in Christ. How in heaven and earth does that make me a legalist? How is that me trying to earn my salvation?

..going Black Friday shopping to scrape up whatever's left on the shelves or lying in the aisles. :)

Meanwhile, you people start figuring out how to explain how a person can be saved without believing in the cross.
No one has stated this.
You have been insisting that the Galatians can turn away from believing in Christ for justification and they are still saved. So start explaining how they can not believe in the cross and still be saved.

ThEy can’t Nor can they be saved without true repentance, Nor can they be saved without true saving faith.

Maybe you can explain how a person can come to true repentance, And true faith in God. Then LOSE that faith when God (is is the perfect father, savior and will never leave us astray) never lets us down?

Considering we lose faith in people who fail us. So who is going to lose faith in God. Unless they never had real faith to begin with?

Can you explain this for me?
The Galatians had real faith in God and were saved. We know because they had the Holy Spirit and Paul says they were saved. Yet they fell away from Christ and stopped believing in Him for justification and were turning back to the law for justification. So much for the teaching that really saved people don't stop believing.

1. In their words. In the end, what do they think is the means by which they will have eternal life.
2. As far as law keeping goes. Moses made the requirement that whoeve does not obey every word has failed to keep the law. Paul re-treated that requirement in Galactions. And james goes as far as to say if someone keeps ever word of the law yet stumbles i one point, he is guilty of the law, so who is really a law keeper? Has anyone other than Christ ever kept the law? And if not. Wjy are people saying they keep the law?

That should be the issue,, Don't you think?
You're evading the point.
The saved Galatians went back to law keeping for justification.
But it is being argued in this thread that they are still saved.
Meanwhile the believers in this forum who keep the law are told they are not saved because they are keeping the law.
No one seems to be able to explain this obvious contradiction of teaching.

It is only from an understanding of the scriptural truth of a secure salvation that one can truly serve the Lord... that is my contention and I am sticking with it.

All those ( a general those) who believe salvation can be lost serve themselves to maintain salvation.
It seems you are not familiar with these warnings:-

Hebrews 6:4-6 - It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Hebrews 10:26-31 - If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know him who said, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” and again, “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the living God

2 Peter 2:20-22 - If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.

2 Peter 3:17 - Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position.

1 John 2:24 - See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

Revelation 3:5 - He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels.

Revelation 22:19 - And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

In Revelation, it even talks about a man's name being blotted out of the Lambs book of Life, which means it had to be written in and then REMOVED.

So why is the Galatians 'faith PLUS <--THIS' gospel able to save them but it can't save posters in this forum? That's all I'm asking you to explain.
This is my last attempt and if you cannot grasp it, do not respond....

Faith plus saved NO one including the Galatian Churches

THE PEOPLE Paul addresses are CALLED BRETHERN, they were ALREADY SAVED BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH when some SATANIC false teachers crept in and started corrupting the gospel

End of story!

If I may interrupt here, you are not grasping what is be stated by @dcontroversal

Faith + plus anything has no power to save when preaching the Gospel to the unsaved
... so when someone on this thread states that to be saved they must have faith "plus" to be saved then they are teaching a powerless/false gospel.

Now the Galatians were saved... they however, were mixing law with grace, this was not unsaving them, they should have known better, however they were messed up in their thinking.

"O foolish Galatians who has bewitched you."

Do you see the distinction ... how to be saved and then falling into error once saved.
I know, how many times do we have to say it.....You, I, EG, and others have made it clear......

God does not find guilty those He has pronounced innocent.

Either Christ imputes His righteousness or He does not ...you cannot have it both ways.

Sin was dealt with at the cross.

And you had better be careful what you accuse us of.

Blaming the grace of God for sin is your perverted logic here....but you cannot see it can you?

Paul was not impressed and had some stern words of warning for them, dig deep into Romans and you will learn why your slander against grace is in fact the antithesis of the Gospel and why Paul made the statement below.

King James Bible Romans 3:8
And not rather, (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
You won't get anywhere with this one...same crap Fran peddled....some self saving I don't need Jesus false gospel!

No one is making that decision.
You are reading into the posts something that is not there.
They do the same thing with the bible...no surprise there.....The many (several in this thread) will boast of all they have done, just like the peddle on this site....they will not make the cut!

Remember the good ol' days (lol) when once saved always saved meant that if did not continue in the faith it meant you were never really saved to begin with? Now once saved always saved means there is nothing you can believe or do that will cause God to remove his declaration of right standing with him from a person. You can even fall away and believe another gospel and you are still saved. ...Except if you are a believer arguing in this forum for the keeping of the law. That is the only exception to once saved always saved. :giggle:
Misrepresenting the truth speaks volumes to your character!

It's stops being sufficient for the person who turns away from it in unbelief and unto something else for justification. You can't have the cross if you don't believe in it.
This post reeks of a complete ignorance of the word of God, context, verb tense while showing you really have no understanding at the end of the day! So which past banned member are you....at least 4 peddled the same crap

Wrong

Once the judge has pronounced you innocent/justified because you believe/trusted in the debt being paid you cannot be found guilty again, the debt was paid on your behalf, you have accepted the payment, it is a done deal... and the debt cannot imputed back to you.

If you are declared innocent then you are innocent.

You preach an illogical gospel
He/She spews a version no supported by scripture for sure!
