The "problem/s", I see in arguing, I'm sorry (ahem) discussing with people like this? Whether they realize it, or not? Because, it seems fairly evident they don't believe it themselves.

They don't, or can't, or are willingly ignorant, or, have been at it so long, as to have neglected the simple fact that "being OBEDIENT", in itself "is a WORK!"
Cuz, being "obedient", don't come "naturally!" Being DISOBEDIENT does! But, obedient doesn't!

One has to WORK at being obedient! But, they can't admit it! Poor souls/minds/hearts/spirits!

Cuz, that would blow their "No WORKS for salvation agenda?", RIGHT OUTTA THE WATER!

Tis their narrow mindedness, that has caused their blindness. Or perhaps, it's orneriness, or, just plain meanness! Yet, blindness, just the same!
The prudent man keeps his knowledge to himself. Careful with those pearls boys!!

They are still stack on Ephesian 2:8-9.
First misunderstanding it and second, come up with a whole doctrine that goes against the entire bible.

Fake pearl gospel- A phony sinless perfection doctrine.
Works to attain and maintain Salvation.
Proclaiming the bad news that our Heavenly Father will toss some of His born again kids into Hell for sins His son already paid for.
Trampling the Blood of Christ.

TRUE Pearl Gospel-
THE Gospel unto Salvation:
God wrapped Himself in human flesh in the form of His Son, Jesus the Messiah. Conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He suffered, was crucified, and died to pay OUR sin debt. He was raised to life from the grave to prove He had defeated death. If you confess Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that His Father resurrected Him to Life on the 3rd day, you WILL be saved. You will be filled, and sealed with the Holy Spirit, who will empower ALL to turn from their sins. The sin of adultery, lying, stealing, homosexuality, gossip, slander, drunkenness, covetousness, etc... And most importantly the sin of DEAD works, or a moral life in an attempt to EARN Salvation. He will also equip you to love like He did and do good works for HIS Glory.

Holy Father, please open the eyes of Your Children to discern the difference between the TRUE and fake pearls spread here today. In Jesus Name I Pray.

To be perfectly honest with ya?
I can't make heads nor tails out of devinewatermarks responses.
And the more he responds in the fashion he responds?
Am having my doubts he does either.

It "sounds" like he is trying to negate, by putting in a box, the "eternalness" of God's words.
"Though heaven and earth may pass away, My words shall never pass away."

Prolly jez me though! :)
His responses are difficult because of the way he structures them; the brackets within parenthesis, the highlights and the references, always lengthy and the follow up post because he forgot a coma in the initial post.
But he is a nice person, always stays in the argument respectfully.

Nope. Doesn’t matter how many times you say it. It’s not true just because you want it to be.
I don't want it to be true or wish it to be true, i just read it the way it is. If it is false then Paul is to blame, not me.

Paul is not false. Neither does he want you to stop reading after verse 2.

Heb 5:9And having been made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him

Rom 6:16Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?

You can call it whichever name you want- works salvation/ maintaining salvation/ worker bees/ but...

When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: Fear God and keep His commandments, because this is the whole duty of man. Ecc 12:13

My trouble with him, is he hasn't a "translator" with him, to explain what he's trying to say. :)

I agree with the rest of yer post.

Ok then, if what Paul said is true then i know for sure that one can believe the gospel in vain, if they don't hold fast.(1 Cor 15:1-3)

That’s right we obey Him. That is descriptive of His born again Children hearing the Gospel, believing, and being made new by Him.

A good tree bears good fruit. Fruit NEVER bears a good tree. You have the Gospel entirely backwards.

This part (1 Cor 15:1-3) is not in isolation, throughout the bible we know of the following:

Apostasy
Falling short of grace
Falling from grace
Departing from faith in Christ and being worse than an unbeliever

All these are against what you teach, especially one falling and becoming worse than an unbeliever - meaning that they are irredeemable.

Yep. And NONE of those passages say they were born again Children of God.

They were THESE people:
1 John 2:19 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.

Nope. You can keep saying it all day long. Doesn't make it any righter the 50th time than the first!

1 Corinthians 15:12-17
"Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. And IF Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise IF it is true that the dead are not raised. For IF the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain and you are still in your sins."

Only in one hypothetical case could someone believe in Jesus Christ and his believing be in vain. This would happen IF Jesus Christ hadn't been raised from the dead. In that case your most honest believing would really not be able to save you. Without the resurrection of the Lord Jesus there would be no salvation. Without His resurrection, our believing would be in vain, empty, futile. Look what else would have happened, if Christ had not risen:

So in other words, if you confess Jesus with your mouth, yet don't believe in your heart He was raised to life, you have believed in Him in vain.

1. If it was descriptive it would read:

"..righteousness that leads to obedience" instead of "..obedience that leads to righteousness.." Rom 6:16

or
"..He became the source of obedience to all who have eternal salvation..." and not "...He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him" Heb 5:9

2. A good tree bears fruit, if it doesn't, it is no longer good and it must be cut down (disobedience).

I'll have to agree with ya! Paul is not false!

Peter is not false either, concerning his assessment of Paul's writings either!
2 Peter 3
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

So, who IS to blame here?
Not Paul! Not Peter!
How about "they", which are unlearned & unstable?

What about those whom Jesus doesn't acknowledge?

Are these people unlearned and unstable?

Are people preaching a "no works required salvation = spiritual maturity" propaganda agenda? Learned people? Stable people?:unsure::unsure:

Yet non of those terms can be used to describe an unbeliever.

A non believer can not apostatize or depart from faith or fall from grace.

Nope. The obedience leads to righteousness is entirely descriptive of how our Heavenly Father works in our life through the Holy Spirit to transform us into the likeness of His Son.

A good tree bears good fruit. A bad tree bears bad fruit. You STILL don't seem to comprehend it's about the Tree NOT the fruit.

Yep the unlearned and unstable, who twist Paul's writings to fit a false works gospel. Totally agree!

Sure can. And do. That's the whole point of John's passage.
