This is the cold hard truth which some cannot accept because they are not willing to truly come to terms with grace and that ALL sins were dealt with at the cross ... yet we with our feeble understanding cannot grasp what God has accomplished in the inward man.

All scripture exhort to manifest outward the inward...but not all will do this hence the reason for all the letters by Paul, James John...etc.,

If the person fails to preserver they are not lost...the new creation while grieved does not go away and yes they may die in that state.

Once again and I quote @dcontroversal

a. A believer has done works already in BELIEVING on the one that was SENT <---the works of the Heavenly Father
b. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness

The above two truths cannot be swept under the table nor can they be embellished with more than the truth that they represent.

HOW many works PROVE salvation, can ANY WORKS prove salvation?

LOST men do MANY wonderful works in the name of JESUS every day<---the MANY that come before the throne and some MEN DIE with ONE WORK....believing on the one whom was SENT.......FAITH saves regardless of any and all work

do you believe that the reason we are not overcome by the world, the flesh, and the devil is because of the mediation of Christ and because He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.

When we put on the armor of God, which is given by Him, is it not to stand? And isn’t the command to put it on a present imperative to Christians, ie people who are already saved?

All this is true. Amen. It is also true that all who are made partakers with Christ hold fast. Hebrews 3:6. What other way is there to interpret that verse

Yes I agree we are commanded to do such, yet some do not... and they are still saved.

Do not and will not are two very different propositions. 😀

They may not be at present, but by Gods Grace we have confidence that they will by and by. 😀

Is this is reference to salvation in context?

What does Jesus accomplish in His present priestly ministry?

What does it mean He is able to keep you from falling

What does it mean we are made partakers ( last tense) if we hold fast our confidence till the end
Yes is able to keep us from falling....but we have to abide and lean into Him... not all saved people do this perfectly.

Certainly NONE of us do. What I am speaking of is not our work, BUT HIS
We have the flesh and the new creation... we abide in Him (a choice) so that we can live the worthy walk.

We have to abide and lean into Him. Amen. Even this comes from God, who works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure.

As God works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure. Not perfectly, but you don’t expect a child to walk perfectly. You stand with the child as it learns to walk

Haha you are a Calvinist then... okay... well many people fail, the flesh and Satan are still there.... Ananias and Sapphira are a scriptural example.

Sorry Discern ...lordship salvation only takes away from true understanding of grace... I stay clear.
