Feeling old and irrelevant? Youve come to the right thread.
Here you can regenerate. Get that flagging self esteem back on track. Chat with fellow dinosaurs. Relive the Mesozoic Age!
Nostalgia neuralgia!
Postpone nursing home plans. You are still young enough to go online then you are still healthy enough to stay in your home.

Well I'm not feeling old or irrelevant and hope I never will. I did online church today, then went to my local church, came home and did the Christmas tree. Tomorrow is garbage day so went around gathering stuff for the trash and also pulled some dying plants for the yard waste bin.
Sorry to hear about your brother. There was a Dr Max Gerson who cured his daughter of a disease. He claimed cancer can be cured by the Gerson Diet, it's online. Eating a lot of FRESH veggies/ fruit and cutting out grease, sugar and processed foods is a big deal.

Not at all. I miss my daughter but as I tell anyone I know going through this "Well you can be happy they are in Heaven and you will see them again'. I had to heed my own advise. We had a thing with pennies and now I find a shiny penny almost every time I go out. I believe God is allowing this, imo.
Both my husbands are in Heaven and I'm not sad about that either.
A major shock came when my so-called Christian brother turned greedy and cut my out of an inheritance, I know my parents would not have liked. I should have got $200,000 plus keepsakes. One thing, all that has helped raise my faith in God and He has never failed to help me.
Thank you for your concern, I just didn't want you to think I'm crying into my pillow every night, quite the contrary. We won't get into my partying days, lol, thank God that's history. I had great times with both husbands and had devoted parents. I am blest to be 5 miles from Harvest Christian Fellowship where Pastor Greg Laurie teaches.
So there!...jk,lol

Hello, I am new here. I am glad to see a thread here for adults. I retired this fall from working with the school district withSp. Need students. My husband is almost 11years older than I and he has a very difficult time getting around anymore. So other than dr. Appts . and dinner out afterwards we dont get out much. We did make it to service today for the first time in a very long time. I really look forward to some fellowship here. Thank you

I may be higher in numbers but I don't really feel old. Does anyone else feel that way? I do notice though that past 60 things started going faster like my hearing and I have a much harder time breathing and have started to have to use the go carts at the stores that make them available.

But I can still walk around one store but no more than that as long as I have a grocery cart to put my purse in and lean on...I call it my modern day walker.... But have a hard time walking through a store without a cart...

But my mind tells me I don't feel old or want to act old....is this also called denial? lol

Also I understand now why people like a place to sit in the shower. I really would like that now. I used to love to take a shower and now days it seems more like a chore so now I understand why old people smell...but I don't want to be smelly so think next house will have a seat in the shower.
