"Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them."

I assume we are looking at the word "unperfect". In Jeremiah 1:12 we are told that God watches over His word to perform and to do what He says He is going to do. "“for I am watching over My word to accomplish it.” To be perfect means to bear fruit. A tree that is not mature enough to produce fruit does not lack perfection. In Hebrew the word we are looking at is גָּלְמִ֤י. The first letter of this word is Gimel and this represents the camel. We see this when Jesus was born when the wise men brought gifts to Jesus and presented them to Him at the time and place where He was born and entered into this world. The next letter is Lamed and this represents a Staff. God watches over the gifts that He gives us the same way a shepherd watches over a flock of sheep. The next letter Mem represents water. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. We know that living water flows from the Throne of God in Heaven. The final letter is Yud. This letter is little more then the mark the pen makes when it first touches the paper. All of the Hebrew letters start with Yud. This is represented by the Big Bang when all of the Universe stared off smaller then mustard seed. It is at this point where infinity became finite.

So we can look at the Hebrew to understand the meaning of the word translated: "unperfect". Also clearly we are talking about a book here that is written at conception. The word "book" is used 12 times in Revelation. I am sure this is one of the books that we read about in Johns letter to the churches. 12 is a powerful number. There are 12 tribes of Israel, 12 months in a year, 12 hours in a day, 12 gates, 12 minor prophets and so on.
First of all, I don’t need the Hebrew, I’ve got the pure words of God to read and study. The word perfect means complete, made whole. Unperfect would mean not complete, not made whole. It’s not talking about a book but our substance. God sees our substance in the womb before we are made perfect, made complete. We are fashioned together, formed together in continuance according to His book.

15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Deuteronomy 21
15 “If a man has two wives, one loved and the other [b]unloved, and both the loved and the unloved have born him sons, and the firstborn son belongs to the unloved wife, 16 then on the day when he wills his possessions to his sons, he cannot treat the son of his loved wife as firstborn in place of the son of the unloved wife—the [actual] firstborn.

2 Samuel 11
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man! Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more! 9 Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight?

Matthew 5
22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother [e]without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’[f] shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, [g]‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of [h]hell fire.

Praise God you have been largely spared. Unfortunately I haven't. Our family left a church where, amongst other things, the pastor stood on the pulpit and said he could commit murder tomorrow and it would be ok. He was adamantly OSAS and still is. There are extremes in Christianity for certain and we must vehemently guard against the truth being twisted into something false. I think it's important to present a complete message, whether OSAS or NOSAS, and beware not to leave sloppy "loopholes" that confuse new believers. (I'm speaking in general and not referring to you in particular.) This is great training ground for that. God bless you in your walk and may you be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. (Colossians 1:9)
Eternal security has no loopholes.

And what he stated is not false..... however one does have to use distorted reasoning to preach grace.

You are free to believe what you want.

Most of US, do believe the Bible is speaking LITERALLY, especially these verses:

1 Thessalonians 4:15-18 (NASB)
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and
so we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Matthew 25:6 (ESV)
6 But at midnight there was a cry, Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him.’

Revelation 19:7-9 (NASB)
7 "Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready."
8 It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
9 Then he *said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he *said to me,
"These are true words of God."

All your post tells me, is YOU DID NOT GET THE INVITE, that has been written in your heart (human spirit).

Every single event of JEWISH Man choosing His Bride, was fulfilled BY CHRIST before He ascended, and the WEDDING CEREMONY is yet to come. He fulfilled every event, including the Mandatory, "I GO TO PREPARE A PLACE FOR YOU." I am fully confident, HE will fulfill the REST of the WEDDING OF THE LAMB, according to JEWISH TRADITIONS.

I do not like calling it the RAPTURE, because of how false prophets have perverted the meaning of the word Rapture, Raptus in LATIN.

I mean false prophets like Kenneth Copeland, and Harold Camping, etc. Therefore I choose to call it The Calling Out of the Bride.

Almost every single Evangelical Born Again Believer are genuinely believing in the Calling Out of the Bride,

Most of the Baptists are also believing in the Calling Out of the Bride,

An overwhelming part of the Pentecostals and Charismatics also do believe in the Calling Out of the Bride,

And a few other denominations also Believe in it.

I am a Conservative Evangelical type of Christian, and we believe in KEEPING READY FOR HIM.

SO WHAT ARE YOU ? ? ?
I am a "born from above" spiritual man inside this "shell of flesh", fighting the good fight! Having, by the grace of God, given an opportunity, of warring against "the adversary", which includes the "beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit!"
Fighting "fire with fire", one might say, in using the "same tools", f'rinstance, this thing called internet, in striving to "LESSEN THE VOID" caused by traditions and precepts of men, as opposed to "continually perpetuate" those traditions and precepts. In the "hopes", by my "standing?" That "others", like myself, can "see", they are not alone!

That they don't Have to "knuckle under", the "whack-a-mo" effect traditions and precepts of men have, and are continuing to do TO "the Word of God!" As a "result" of the "famine of the end times!"
Which is, as you SHOULD know is "NOT hearing the "word of God!"

Which, my "target audience", is NOT those who are not believers, who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. But "those" who have! Whose "ears" and "eyes" are STILL "not hearing", and STILL "not seeing" the "word of God" that is "constantly" coming forth FROM God, as He pours out His Spirit onto ALL flesh! (just "like" the parable of the different "types" of ground) NOT from the "mouths of the pulpit!"
But the "word" that comes right in betweenst one's "ears!"
BUT?....THIS TAKES MAINTENANCE! Also, perceived as "WORKS" FOR, or the maintaining OF ones' Salvation!
Meaning, the further one "travels the strait and narrow?" (Heb. 6:1) the MORE "maintenance" is REQUIRED in the "traveling!" Which is "why" there are "so FEW" that "find" it!

The "one" instance Jesus stated, is "the way of the spurious messiah!"
The "other" instance Jesus stated is the "TRUE AND HOLY" way!
(Matthew 7:13&14)

Which is why people like myself are "in shock", when met with such a ferocious resistance, from those "supposed" members of the "body of Christ", from these "other" members of the "body" of Christ, who are "not the SAME part AS themselves!
Frankly Johnny? It's astonishingly sad!

But? I reckon, this is what happens when one strains at gnats, when swallowing illusions, eh?

That's WHAT I am! :)

If this is the case you better be sinless otherwise, there is probably son sin you are in trouble with

good luck meeting that requirement,

we do not put people under a list based on certain sins, we claim all sinners are in danger apart from grace

ie, stop excusing your sin
Everyone, please read this in its entirety before and if you respond to it.

It is not a matter of sinless perfection, it is a matter of walk.

Suppose A man sees a really beautiful woman, and does the proverbial “second look”, a long one, and lusts after her in his heart. He has already committed adultery with her in his heart. The Holy Spirit convicts him. He knows he has sinned. He will either confess and renounce his lustful thoughts or he will continue to indulge, or may even pursue her.

It is not the same matter to look upon a woman with lust and then receive correction, and to do the same and yet. reject correction, and run headlong into the full consumation of the thought. This is the danger of saying “all sin is equal”. Falling into sin for a moment and continuous persistence in sin is not equal

Now a child of God may sin. He may lust. He may indulge in lustful thoughts. He may even act out his lustful thoughts. He may persist in this sin for a season. But he is going to come under severe chastening. He does not lose his salvation, he loses fellowship, he loses peace, he loses assurance, his spiritual life dries up, his bones get broken by the rod of correction, and generally it is a miserable condition

And if a person can live in persistent sin, in a state like this, and be at peace, untroubled, saying it’s ok, I’m saved, God forgives me, and not be grieved by his sin, be at peace with himself, and have no concern whatsoever, ( in other words, if the things listed in the former paragraph just before this one do not occur), that is a very dangerous place, and it is doubtful that person ever knew the Lord.

Now you and DC are being accused of promoting and teaching the possibility of the scenario just described in the last paragraph just before this one. I do not think you are promoting that at all. I think you are promoting that

1. A Christian is not sinless

2. The direction of a believers walk is toward God and away from sin.

3. A believer may lapse for a season from that walk.

4. But God restores that believer through chastisement and other means.

And lastly,

5. There are those who think they are believers, but deceive themselves.

2 Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

THIS TAKES MAINTENANCE! Also, perceived as "WORKS" FOR, or the maintaining OF ones' Salvation!

Thessalonians 2:9-12
The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, 10and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11Therefore God sends them a strong delusion, so that they may believe what is false, 12in order that all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Your delusions are strong!

Now I said the things above post 119,651, I said in reference to someone talking about running off with another mans wife. But the things stated above can be applied to any sin.

Lying, cheating your employer, gossip, slander, evil speaking, coveting, pride, self righteousness, etc. in that sense all sin is equally destructive.

But a believer receives correction from the Holy Spirit, and though he may fall, he does not stay down. For God upholds him through gracious means

I am a "grace-guy", but even I can see the dangerous possibility of some being lulled and deceived into thinking that the Atonement amounts to a free lifetime supply of RC indulgences. We must remember that it is by their fruits ye shall know them. Perhaps we get the concepts of fruits and works all mish-mash-mangled together?
I hafta agrees with ya Oyster67!
What you are describing, sounds a whole lot like this:
Mark 4
19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

To say this only pertains to the RC?

Is, IMHO, coming off a bit naively.

It's the same "illusion" that much of Christendom embraces, in their thinking and believing, and teaching, that the "seal" of the Holy Spirit, is the SAME SIZE for YOU, as it is for THEM!

Which in many many cases places the "believer" in THIS "bag", if you will:
Isaiah 28

18 And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
20 For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.

How can this happen? Jesus stated it as "putting new wine into old wineskins!"
If the "Seal of the Holy Spirit" does not expand with the spiritual maturity of the believer?
The believer is then "behooved" in trying to "countermand" the "seal" itself (also called "grieving the Holy Spirit), by stuffing more then the "seal" in its present position, is capable of "sealing!"
So? Is actually "deceiving themselves", and teaching/telling others, "this is the only way to do it!":mad:

David got a telling off in the form of a parable. Here is the full text

Nathan Rebukes David
2Sa 12:1 The LORD was angry at what David had done, and he sent Nathan the prophet to tell this story to David: A rich man and a poor man lived in the same town.
2Sa 12:2 The rich man owned a lot of sheep and cattle,
2Sa 12:3 but the poor man had only one little lamb that he had bought and raised. The lamb became a pet for him and his children. He even let it eat from his plate and drink from his cup and sleep on his lap. The lamb was like one of his own children.
2Sa 12:4 One day someone came to visit the rich man, but the rich man didn't want to kill any of his own sheep or cattle and serve it to the visitor. So he stole the poor man's little lamb and served it instead.
2Sa 12:5 David was furious with the rich man and said to Nathan, "I swear by the living LORD that the man who did this deserves to die!
2Sa 12:6 And because he didn't have any pity on the poor man, he will have to pay four times what the lamb was worth."
2Sa 12:7 Then Nathan told David: You are that rich man! Now listen to what the LORD God of Israel says to you: "I chose you to be the king of Israel. I kept you safe from Saul
2Sa 12:8 and even gave you his house and his wives. I let you rule Israel and Judah, and if that had not been enough, I would have given you much more.
2Sa 12:9 Why did you disobey me and do such a horrible thing? You murdered Uriah the Hittite by having the Ammonites kill him, so you could take his wife.
2Sa 12:10 "Because you wouldn't obey me and took Uriah's wife for yourself, your family will never live in peace.
2Sa 12:11 Someone from your own family will cause you a lot of trouble, and I will take your wives and give them to another man before your very eyes. He will go to bed with them while everyone looks on.
2Sa 12:12 What you did was in secret, but I will do this in the open for everyone in Israel to see."
2Sa 12:13 David said, "I have disobeyed the LORD." "Yes, you have!" Nathan answered. "You showed you didn't care what the LORD wanted. He has forgiven you, and you won't die. But your newborn son will."

If you’re going to take on the OT, take it all, don’t just pick and choose. And the Matthew verse is to the Jews. It is part of the rules Christ gave them to live by in their earthly kingdom. This is not Church doctrine. Jesus calls people fools. Paul called People fools. Is Jesus and Paul indanger of hell fire?

Matthew 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

1 Corinthians 15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
Now the Pharisees get a telling off for being false teachers. Best to read in full and a modern translation helps I feel. If there are any false teachers here, then take heed. A single verse can be read any number of ways.

Mat 23:15-36 CEV
(15) You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You travel over land and sea to win one follower. And when you have done so, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are.
(16) You are in for trouble! You are supposed to lead others, but you are blind. You teach that it doesn't matter if a person swears by the temple. But you say that it does matter if someone swears by the gold in the temple.
(17) You blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
(18) You also teach that it doesn't matter if a person swears by the altar. But you say that it does matter if someone swears by the gift on the altar.
(19) Are you blind? Which is more important, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
(20) Anyone who swears by the altar also swears by everything on it.
(21) And anyone who swears by the temple also swears by God, who lives there.
(22) To swear by heaven is the same as swearing by God's throne and by the one who sits on that throne.
(23) You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You give God a tenth of the spices from your garden, such as mint, dill, and cumin. Yet you neglect the more important matters of the Law, such as justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These are the important things you should have done, though you should not have left the others undone either.
(24) You blind leaders! You strain out a small fly but swallow a camel.
(25) You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You wash the outside of your cups and dishes, while inside there is nothing but greed and selfishness.
(26) You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of a cup, and then the outside will also be clean.
(27) You Pharisees and teachers are in for trouble! You're nothing but show-offs. You're like tombs that have been whitewashed. On the outside they are beautiful, but inside they are full of bones and filth.
(28) That's what you are like. Outside you look good, but inside you are evil and only pretend to be good.
(29) You Pharisees and teachers are nothing but show-offs, and you're in for trouble! You build monuments for the prophets and decorate the tombs of good people.
(30) And you claim that you would not have taken part with your ancestors in killing the prophets.
(31) But you prove that you really are the relatives of the ones who killed the prophets.
(32) So keep on doing everything they did.
(33) You are nothing but snakes and the children of snakes! How can you escape going to hell?
(34) I will send prophets and wise people and experts in the Law of Moses to you. But you will kill them or nail them to a cross or beat them in your meeting places or chase them from town to town.
(35) That's why you will be held guilty for the murder of every good person, beginning with the good man Abel. This also includes Barachiah's son Zechariah, the man you murdered between the temple and the altar.
(36) I can promise that you people living today will be punished for all these things!

I’ll stick with the pure words of God as found in the KJV. I understand it quite well. The point is, Jesus called people fools and so did Paul, no denying this.

God said it is UNLAWFUL for a man to hav more than one wife. He calls it adultry.
Actually Jesus tells us that adultery is the exception. "And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." (Matthew 19:9) Lev 21:13 uses the word virgin "The woman he marries must be a virgin. He is not to marry a widow, a divorced woman, or one defiled by prostitution. He is to marry a virgin from his own people" Of course this has to do with our priesthood and if we want to take that serious so we can be used by God.

Lying, cheating your employer, gossip, slander, evil speaking, coveting, pride, self righteousness, etc. in that sense all sin is equally destructive.

But a believer receives correction from the Holy Spirit, and though he may fall, he does not stay down. For God upholds him through gracious means
Now, what about going back to unbelief, like the Galatians did. This is the issue that does not get addressed well. Everyone gets hung up on works.

I’ll stick with the pure words of God as found in the KJV. I understand it quite well. The point is, Jesus called people fools and so did Paul, no denying this.
As are any false teachers on the basis they do not understand the truth. Worse still they persist in misleading others. Whether on Facebook or anywhere else, I think it should be stopped.
