I believed then and was saved and continue to believe which is my walk of faith not salvation.
One would really have to be irrational to deny objective reality.
Romans 13
11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.

but it says Jesus is also finisher of faith not just author. so you end up in faith too. if you stop belief then it would mean Jesus never finished the faith He lost you the faith is gone.
My point is if salvation is a one time event ... my ongoing belief is part of my walk/discipleship not a belief that sustains reality.

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12

I see what you mean... but scripture also speaks about people becoming faithless and Jesus remaining faithful.
They are still saved because of the objective reality of Jesus being faithful.

So perhaps this is about His faithfulness.

You have been told the truth. And are without excuse.
I was told the Truth long before you posted those verses, and thankfully it was the Truth!!, and btw those verses do support your unbiblical position.
Eternal life is eternal.

Sickening indeed.. God knows where I even find the strength to read what they write some days.
Frustrating they think they have taken some moral high ground, all about their effort, at the expense of the suffering of Jesus.
I know.......it is as infuriating as it comes.......I cannot stress the amount of disgust and anger I have towards those that constantly throw JESUS under the bus by the contrary dogma they spew....

Jesus does not loose anyone.. and I was not speaking to this really.. I was only showing them how nonsensical and irrational their argument is .. our belief is not what keeps Jesus faithful... that is essentially what they are stating and arguing.

The GOSPEL by which YOU ARE SAVED........

There is ONE gospel......if a MAN believes into a CORRUPTED GOSPEL there is NO salvation..........<---one of the MOST fatal errors within the ranks of so called Christianity.........!
Amen. None of what I said contradicts that. But from reading the posts, Eleventh Hour and MailmanDan and Eternally Grateful, and you and I do not appear to agree on every minute detail of osas. So we’re all not going to agree on every detail.

I agree... however they seem to think that in order for this to be true we have to continue to believe it to be true, that makes no sense to me
Our belief does not make it true .. It is true.
.... Jesus is faithful.

For example, do you agree that a believer does not stop believing. Because that is a view of osas that has been supported here by more than one osas person.

We are saved by Grace through faith.

Faith is a gift

The gifts of God are irrevocable.

This is the logical conclusion of osas doctrine.

So now to see if we’re All on the same page, someone define faith as it is used in Ephesians 2:8

I think I am done with stop believing accusation....all I know is Jesus is faithful and my salvation is secure.

Our belief does not make Jesus faithfulness real. Just the opposite. The faithfulness of Jesus is the basis of our faith and makes our holding fast the hope of our confidence to the end a reality

I didn’t accuse you of anything. I believe you are saved, therefore I am confident that you will hold the hope of your confidence firm to the end. Heb. 3:6 Heb 3:14

...and you know this, why? Because faith is a gift. The fact that you know Jesus is faithful and your salvation is secure is faith, that is the gift of God, and the gifts of God are irrevocable right?

So if faith is a gift, and a gift is irrevocable, how can a believer permenantly lose their faith. They may fail to exercise it at times, but do they lose it?

We are saved by Faith. But not just any Faith, but TRUST which is more than just believing. But works are NECESSARY as evidence of the salvation. And those works are not OUR works but His Works. Jesus Christ has the copyright on ALL GOOD WORKS. If an evil man does a good thing, even that work belongs to Christ.

Bible tells us that Faith comes by Hearing and Hearing by the Word of God.

But what many don't realize is that Faith is the ACCESS to Grace. Grace is not mere favor for God favors everyone and works toward the Good of Everyone. But rather Grace is Approval and God doesn't yet approve of everyone.

So the gift of Repentance towards Faith is a Gift of God as is the Faith, Works and the Grace.
