"Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.

What do I say? I share verses on making our path straight before the Lord, righteous walking of Zachariah and Elizabeth, the forgiving of sins by repentance and baptism and the word of Jesus. This is just sharing scripture and looking for its meaning.

Sounds like you are judging Gods word and His ministry, if that is all I am sharing.
It is between you are God how or why you need to do this, it is unexpected from believers.
You can twist all you want pal....we have all seen your unbiblical position......SO...which past banned member are you....some of what you are saying seems to be very familiar.....we already KNOW at least one previous banned member is back...

So....have you ever been on this site under a different name? YES or NO

Already dealt with ... no scripture exists that teaches salvation can be lost but you can waste your time if you want.

Yes, I have said before that there is a belief that does not last/persevere. But the condition was not stated as “if believers preservere”, for the text says “you are saved (present tense) if you hold firmly to the Word, meaning they are saved already if...the future perserverance is the result of present state of salvation

A belief that does perservere?
Then we should not be using the word belief but some other word.

Should have been "a belief that does not perservere"

1 Corinthians 15:1-2
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

1 Corinthians 15:12:-17
Now if Christ is proclaimed as raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead
? 13But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain. 15We are even found to be misrepresenting God, because we testified about God that he raised Christ, whom he did not raise if it is true that the dead are not raised. 16For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. 17And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.

So.... some members of the church at Corinth denied the resurrection. These are those who are being addressed in in the first 2 verses of chapter 15.

What kind of Christian denies the resurrection?

Yes, there is an act of believing and receiving that does not do what Paul exhorted in the verse, but those who are saved do the thing that is exhorted by Paul, hence "by which you are saved if..."

You are saved (present tense)

If you hold firmly to the Word...(quality of God's sheep)

Unless you have believed in vain. (to no effect)...or it could refer to the fact that if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen, and thus we would still be dead in our sins. Grave error of the Corinthians. If what they believed was true, (wasn't) they believed in vain, right?

If the dead do not rise, Christ did not rise
If Christ did not rise, they and we are dead in our sins
If they were yet dead in their sins, they believed in vain.

Is this what Paul meant by "believe in vain" or did he main "believe to no effect", ie they were not regenerate who do not hold fast to the Word? or both

Dealt with, lol. Let's try to explain this away.
I believe the Psalmist put it this way: "Void have they made Thy law." Empty the Word of God.
Jesus came to baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

That is, if their belief that the dead do not rise was true, (which it wasn't), then they believed in vain, because if the dead do not rise, Christ is not risen, and if if Christ is not risen, they and we are yet dead in our sins. Any belief that leaves us yet dead in our sins is a belief in vain.

Note...I am not saying we are sinless. I am saying we are no longer dead in our sins. If we be risen with Christ, we are alive to Christ and dead to sin.
