yep, although Columbus is far enough south we do not get all the snow
Yes definitely more central in the state....I remember it being a long hike for me and got lost and arrived at 3:00 am ...a very late night check in...lol... not fun
But I did like the outdoor mall in the outskirts I think ...is it still there?

1. I hope you do alot more than be baptized in water.. Thats just one command out of many
2. I hope you do alot more than seek one of the seven gifts. CHristian growth is so much greater than that. and includes many things God wants us to do to draw closer to him and become more like him
3. In order to be a mature christian, you have to work, sacrifice, Grow. in all facets of the christian faith. I think it was peter in acts which gives us four things which can help. Including studying the word (doctrine) Breaking bread with your brothers and sisters (not communion, but actually getting together and continually breaking bread at dinner as paul put it) Fellowship, getting together outside of church and hanging out) and prayer (corporate as well as personal) take away one of these, and you will suffer, I know. I did for many years.

no matter what.

None of this assures of of salvation and gives us hope.

Our Hope as John said is based on KNOWLEDGE we have eternal security in Christ.

if you have no security which is unconditional. you have no hope. that was Johns point.
The New Testament Church had to be super strong. They did all those things and set us a very good example, praise God.

Random note:

Wow, this thread just celebrated its three year anniversary two weeks ago. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Why is that funny?
Probably because it is so crystal clear....🀣

God's Word says so many times that salvation is "not by works" sometimes in different words... sometimes in those exact words.... but people will argue against this truth in subtle or blatant ways until our Savior puts an end to the debate Himself...

(I believe that post is from a sister in Christ who believes the true gospel)

I am no friend of the joker....although Heath Ledger played the part brilliantly.

are you sarcastic or not? honest question.

i just dont like to deal with money more than i have to. you know money makes people do evil things all the time. if i won the lottery and i lost all of it the next day i wouldnt care if i still got a roof over my head and food. i can even be homeless but only in a warm place not here in finland.

Yes I would agree ... need to keep money in perspective that is how I view it.

I think it is good to be grateful for what God provided... it is good to share it as well...

be it money or time or truth...

Though I still am inclinded to agree that money seems to come with problems and sometimes it is far more appealing as a Christian to just focus on whats going last😁

I come from very little... and shared much and kept nothing in regards to what the opportunities God provided ....

As I grow in age... I have been pressed to actually make more long term choices though....

I feel moved to build a more stable foundation that instead of giving what i can in the moment... i can set up a system that will give more than i could without it.... if that makes sense...

I'm not there yet... but im pluckin away... even if Id rather just not think twice about it

(not claiming in anyway that God is calling you to the same mindset and i completely see and respect where youre coming from)

the LOVE of money is truly awful but money can be a useful tool

When you said about not having much money, just enough for your daily needs. That is how I feel, and no, I wasn't being sarcastic, it is the honest truth.
