I know Jesus had used some strong language to certain leaders but also he showed gentleness and healing in his words. What is the good balance in showing gentleness in our words but also boldness and frankness when necessary?
I have no problem being gentle and equally I have no problem raking false teachers and religionists over the coals when they devalue Jesus, grace, mercy and throw truth under the bus by their false gospels....

"What folly is it that one would speak in derisive language and so as to accuse someone for their lack of intellect. Only afterward, to commit to deploying an effort of reason toward that one which has already been judged by them to be incapable of intelligently comprehending a word spoken."

There is a difference in the Spirit that compelled Jesus to act, and the spirit that leads others to act out their inner demons.

Unity in the Body of Christ The Epistle To the Ephesians Chapter 4
1. I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. 7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ's gift. 8 Therefore it says,
“When he ascended on high he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”[a]

9 (In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into the lower regions, the earth?[b] 10 He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.) 11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds[c] and teachers,[d] 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[e] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
The New Life
17 Now this I say and testify in the Lord, that you must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their minds. 18 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. 19 They have become callous and have given themselves up to sensuality, greedy to practice every kind of impurity. 20 But that is not the way you learned Christ!— 21 assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus, 22 to put off your old self,[f] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

25 Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another. 26 Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, 27 and give no opportunity to the devil. 28 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. 29 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Interesting. I thought he was saying angels have a special language. Could that still be a possibly? Thanks for the link on the study you did on the gift of tongues. Definitely interesting.

Yes, you will find it very interesting, and I studying that subject for 6 months, and read books and listen to sermons, even went to the Encyclopedias. When I was young, I wanted to write a thorough study of the modern day supposed tongues, compared to what the disciplines did. The Charismatics tongues, I am thoroughly convinced it is only ecstatic utterances, whereas the disciples had everyone there HEARING in their OWN "Dialectos", which is so specific of the languages that even the dialect, and accent was CORRECT to the Letter. What amazed the Crowd that day, was that these men were from Galilee, and there were know to have a very thick accent, and they heard in there own dialect with the correct accent as if they had grown up in the same villages with them. GOD's Miracles are PERFECT in every way, and Charismatic Utterances were not perfect.

Acts 2:5-12 (HCSB)
5 There were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.
6 When this sound occurred, a crowd came together and was confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
[.That word languages is "dialectos", so the Dialect and the Accent has to be accurate, and possibly maybe even the hearing was part of the miracle. It does not seem there was time to translate into every nation under heaven, for them ALL TO HEAR?]
7 And they were astounded and amazed, saying, “Look, aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 How is it that each of us can hear in our own native language?
9 Parthians, Medes, Elamites; those who live in Mesopotamia, in Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya near Cyrene; visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes,
11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking the magnificent acts of God in our own languages.”
12 They were all astounded and perplexed, saying to one another, “What could this be?”

Does this include false teachers in your view... those that deny the Gospel and create a entirely different version of events like Jesus only paid for some sins and not others?

For myself I try to be gentle and tactful with words. It is partly because I know personally how painful certain words can be. I try to avoid things like name-calling because for me it can be very hurtful. When people make jokes or tease, I don't always realize it. And so I may after joking say to someone, I'm just kidding.

I don't consider myself as among the boldest of people. I would like to grow in boldness, courage and faith.

I can see your passion in your posts. You have a fire that the gospel would be presented correctly without distortion. I like that.

Please also keep these words in mind:

"The wise in heart will be called prudent, And sweetness of the lips increases learning."
Proverbs 16:21( NKJV )

"There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health."
Proverbs 12:18( NKJV )

May God bless you.

@dcontroversal , you haven't answered my last question to you yet and I was hoping you would respond and answer it. I know we need to hope in God and trust him and his word over other things like the word of people, experiences, or feelings.

There is NO evidence for a heavenly language. There is more evidence for Biblical Hebrew than any thing else. However it seems most likely that they will made their language be understood by anyone they choose to talk to.

I have had more stones thrown (insults) at me because I wrote that study. Many were thrown at me, because I married into a Pentecostal family. But I will stand on what I wrote as the absolute truth, as long as I live. That is why, I wrote it for non-charismatic Christians, and do not want to debate it with anyone. It has been my experience, they get EXTREMELY angry, when I expose it for what it is. So I will not debate it, it is a settled subject in my mind.

What took you so long:cool:
I have never felt the need and to be honest, I still don't. I doubt I shall use the gift, I shall feel a bit of a prat, but I am so glad the Lord has sealed me. (Hooray)
