Korah's rebellion, and how GOD dealt with HIM, we are EQUALLY GUILTY, so why did we not get the same punishment ? ? ?

The answer is WE RECEIVED MERCY, make us want to LOVE HIM MORE.

Titus 3:5-7 (HCSB)
5 He saved usnot by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
6 He poured out this ⌊Spirit⌋ on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
7 so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life.

Ephesians 2:4-5 (HCSB)
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love that He had for us,
5 made us alive with the Messiah even though we were dead in trespasses. You are saved by grace!

1 Peter 1:3-5 (HCSB)
3 Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
4 and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.
5 You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.

Hebrews 2:17 (NCV)
17 For this reason Jesus had to be made like his brothers in every way so he could be their merciful and faithful high priest in service to God. Then Jesus could bring forgiveness for their sins.

I have something for you to meditate on.

I am sure you understand the JESUS PAID the Price for all sins on the CROSS.

SO HOW MUCH OF YOUR SINS WERE YET IN THE FUTURE, WHEN HE PAID THAT PRICE ? ? ?

That PRICE HE PAID was what they call the BRIDE PRICE HE Paid to REDEEM YOU.

Genesis 34:12 (ESV)
12 Ask me for as great a bride price and gift as you will, and I will give whatever you say to me.
Only give me the young woman to be my wife.”

1 Corinthians 6:20 (NASB)
20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
Brother....I would have to disagree that we are guilty of the same thing Korah was guilty of.....

Korah is identified as a false teacher is JUDE
Korah stood up in rebellion against God's chosen man (Moses)
Korah led a rebellion against GOD dia his stance against Moses

Just something to ponder migo.....yes we are all sinners and thank God for mercy, but I do not believe we are guilty of the same thing that Korah was guilty of .....

Reading about Korah and what happened I don't think I would want to have been there. Sounded really scary. What I noticed was how later when plague broke out how it was stopped when atonement was made. It is a picture of Jesus atonement in his sacrifice. And how much more powerful and sure is Christ's sacrifice on the cross?

I agree with your assessment of the doctrine that opposes eternal security. It promotes fear and insecurity and doubts... etc.

If I am reading too quickly though it may be a good sign for me. I want to work through not rereading and repeating myself too much. So please pray for me with that. :)
I will pray.:)
We all need to keep repeating ourselves against the I keep myself saved crew!

Yeah, Imagine going down ALIVE into the pit.....and as you are falling thinking....I was a fool to follow this man that stood up against GOD.....

True story.....I sat in a boat one night fishing on the Arkansas river just north of Little Rock listening to a conversation between two men that I knew well......the one was boasting how he helped get rid of a particular preacher that had pastor'ed the church he was a member of....and as he listed the reasons they got "rid of the man" I was thinking a few things to myself....

a. There are only two biblical reasons to vacate a pulpit (heresy and immorality) This preacher had done neither
b. This man was BOASTING how they got rid of this preacher that had done nothing worthy of being removed
c. This will not turn out good

Within a short time this guy got cancer and died in a hospital.............

There are several lessons to glean from this story.........and the story of Korah........mainly....if a man is called of God or being used of GOD and you oppose him, you are opposing GOD....and NO ONE wins that game!

Thank you. I appreciate that. Today I read from Exodus 23.

Exodus 23:5 and verse 20 I found encouraging.

Exodus 23:5( NKJV): If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it.

It makes me think of how much more God's compassion to the people under heavy burdens.

Exodus 23:20 ( KJV ):

"Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared."

This is what God was doing for Israel back in the day and he also will keep his children who trust in Jesus and bring them to heaven. :D

Righteous actions/ fruit show us to be justified by God's grace, they don't make us righteous.
That's why you can't be saved without works.
The person without works has not been justified by God's grace.
You really need to quit spreading lies and inherent false gospels.....the following verse PROVES that your last two lines are not biblical and or of GOD Ralph!

To the one that WORKS NOT, but BELIEVES on him that justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited to righteousness

To hear the Lord acknowledge me is treasure enough my friend.....and make no mistake and as you KNOW.....I do not do what I do in hopes he will acknowledge me....I have trusted him by faith and point 100% to him his power, promises, blood, faith and work on my behalf....I fully believe....

If you believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved!
Amen brother. The Lord will indeed acknowledge you. Rejoice always! 😎

According to James, we are equally GUILTY.

James 2:10 (CSBBible)
10 For whoever keeps the entire law, and yet stumbles at one point, is guilty of breaking it all.

I used to tell the inmates in several Sermons:

I would first read that verse in JAMES, then I would say: "The worst mass murderer on death row, is not guilty of more sins than us;
WE ARE GUILTY OF AN EQUAL NUMBER OF SINS, as him."
They certainly understood that, why do you have trouble understanding that ? ? ?

Yes, O Jesus is so very good. He delivered us from all our sins and translated us in to the Kingdom of God - the Kingdom which is in the Holy Spirit. We belong to Him, having crucified the sinful nature, with its passion and desires and we eagerly wait for His return. Thank God He has circumcised our hearts for circumcision still is the covenant. For, as it is written, he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the spirit and not by the letter, and such a man's praise is not from men but from God.

Jesus is head over ALL things for us. We don't live by our souls today but by the Spirit. This is the Sabbath-rest for the people of God. This is the True Gospel which has been hidden from God's people for centuries. They have only known a truncated version: "The Gospel" but not "The Gospel of the Kingdom" which Jesus preached. Jesus did not die for us to be forgiven - that's why bulls and goats were sacrificed. Jesus died for us to be free from sin and that we would become slaves to God. Our Lord is the pattern Son for us. He only did the will of the Father, and that is the work we are to do today - a work which can only be discerned through the Holy Spirit - the Spirit each Gospel declares that He came to baptize us with. How the Christian religion has distorted the Truth!

It does not get any plainer..........Our righteous works have ZERO to do with Salvation!

English Standard Version
he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Berean Study Bible
He saved us, not by the righteous deeds we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Berean Literal Bible
He saved us, not by works in righteousness that we did, but according to His mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works lest any man should boast.

I disagree and you are conflating apples and oranges.....of course we are all guilty in the sense of the law and breaking the least of the commandments...but one thing I am not guilty of IS ATTEMPTING TO USURP a man that God has called, nor opposing GOD directly by OPPOSING a man he has called to lead...and my point stands

If it were all about our works then why did Jesus have to die such a horrible death?

Do you understand, it said ALL OF THE LAW.

Here it is in the New Century Version:

James 2:10 (NCV)
10 A person who follows all of God’s law but fails to obey even one command is guilty of breaking all the commands in that law.

Here it is in the Bible in Basic English.

James 2:10 (BBE)
10 For anyone who keeps all the law, but makes a slip in one point, is judged to have gone against it all.

Here it is in the Amplified Version

James 2:10 (AMP)
10 For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it.

Here it is in the New Living translation 2.

James 2:10 (NLT2)
10 For the person who keeps all of the laws except one is as guilty as a person who has broken all of God’s laws.

Could it be you have never felt as Guilty as one who has broken all of God's laws.

Romans 12:3 (ESV)
3 For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.

AMEN....Galatians is clear....so are the words of JESUS concerning the MANY.......at least three on this thread do exactly what Paul in the Galatian letter and JESUS spoke about.
The Galations turned to another gospel.

I know........I have no problem arguing, debating doctrine and or even getting or giving heat, but when I get called an atheist when it is obvious that I am not an atheist......it is a flat lie and pi---- me right off.....the following definition does not fit me....and not only did he say it, another fake jumped on board and doubled down!

noun
a person who disbelieves or lacks belief in the existence of God or gods.
"he is a committed atheist"
Those metaphorical scissors you have, that cut away passages of the Bible that you do not accept, throw them away.
