The universe is a atmosphere that contains galaxies and other wonders, God created suns to do what they do, the sun knows when to go down because God created them to do so, thus other elements are born from the death of a star.
True

but that’s not how creation started

God created the earth for man, this he created it in 6 days in a way which supports mankind

the suns in the universe (stars) were made as said, to be as genesis says, let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

we should not try to add anything to this.

Yes! 'And the very important thing we are to know, besides that if science gets it right they find out how God did what he did, and we know if science finds something that corrects how we read scripture, we are to know scripture tells it correctly. We sometimes come to the wrong conclusions about that scripture is saying like we did about scripture saying the world was flat because it spoke of the four corners of the earth.

Scripture and the dates of fossils could work together.

And it is important to understand the first day of creation when God explained what he did that first day as bringing owr. In Ancient Hebrew that word has much the same meaning as the Hebrew word shalom. We have no English word that means the same, it takes many english words like peace, harmony, goodness, etc.
Four corners does not prove or say flat. But I see why you would think this. The Bible also calls the earth round, or a globe

science and scripture will agree, if not, one of them is wrong, or our view of what science or scripture says is wrong.

if you really believe not to try and add, then read genesis and you will find the earth is complete before day six. Yes animals and plants and people was added after the complete formation of the earth.

since you brought up the topic of seasons, please tell me how to moon marks the seasons? and what does this verse say about the sun knows?

Psalm 104
19He made the moon to mark the seasons; the sun knows when to set.

If you look at Gen 1, the earth, the sun and the stars, the moon, the plants the animals the fish and birds were all created in 6;days

on the seventh day he rested.

other than this, I am not sure what your trying to say

Ok my friend your allowed to believe what want, and the 6 days is over 14 billion yrs old, yes I am a OEC. now that is out of the way we probably won’t agree on things of creation, but that is ok with me :)

Well friend i can not agree,

evening and morning were the first day. A literal 24 hour period, or one rotation of the earth on its axis. (Could have been a bit longer or smaller than 24 hour..

I used to be old earth gap theorist, I have changed after deep study

god created the earth for mankind, there is no need for millions of years. If one looks at scientific study, they see life appeared suddenly in one instant, all life, it did not evolve, nor did it need to. The earth was created in an aged useful state,

but I will post all that happened on the six day, to me this didn’t happen in supersonic speed in 24 hours
Almost the whole genesis 2 is talking about the six day
Genesis 2

5Now no shrub of the field had yet appeared on the earth, nor had any plant of the field sprouted; for the LORD God had not yet sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground.

6But springswelled up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.

Genesis 1

26Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itselfand every creature that crawls upon it.

Genesis 2

7Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.

8And the LORD God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, where He placed the man He had formed.

15Then the LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and keep it.

Genesis 2

10Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it branched into four headwaters:
11The name of the first river is Pishon; it winds through the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
12And the gold of that land is pure, and bdellium and onyx are found there.
13The name of the second river is Gihon; it winds through the whole land of Cush.
14The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it runs along the east side of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.

Genesis 2
9Out of the ground the LORD God gave growth to every tree that is pleasing to the eye and good for food. And in the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
16And the LORD God commanded him, “You may eat freely from every tree of the garden,
17but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.”

Genesis 1
24And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, land crawlers, and beasts of the earth according to their kinds.” And it was so.

Genesis 2
19And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and He brought them to the man to see what he would name each one. And whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name.

Genesis 1
25God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and everything that crawls upon the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Genesis 2
18The LORD God also said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make for him a suitable helper.”
20The man gave names to all the livestock, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam no suitable helper was found.
21So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribsand closed up the area with flesh.
22And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him.
23And the man said: “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for out of man she was taken.”
24For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.
25And the man and his wife were both naked, and they were not ashamed.

Genesis 1
27So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

28God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.”
29Then God said, “Behold, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit contains seed. They will be yours for food.
30And to every beast of the earth and every bird of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth—everything that has the breath of life in it—I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so.

31And God looked upon all that He had made, and indeed, it was very good.

And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

scripture does say how long a day was

the evening and morning were the first day.

science shows the rotation of the earth has a huge deal on gravity. If it moved slower or faster, most likely we would not survive.
These could easily be literary devices meant to mark the beginning and end of the eras. Hebrews 4 also teaches us that God’s Sabbath rest “remains” and that we can enter into it or be prevented from entering it. That is quite a long 7th day. God is outside of time and isnt constrained on how he works within time.

2 Peter 3:8 (NIV)
8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Genesis 1 is quick and to the point. It isn't a science book and we shouldn't use it as one. God created everything. So it is only natural that when we study the world or space it will compliment its creator. And it perfectly does.

Yes, you can mean all those things

but again we turn to context to see which interpretation we use, God did not leave us hanging,

Evening and morning were the first day

once again context shows us how we should interpret the word

evening and morning means one rotation of the earth, Nothing more nothing less

God also when he gave the sabbath said, for 6 days work, on the 7th day rest, just like in 6 days God created on the seventh he rested

i would take what moses wrote literally and not try to make it some symbolic jester that means something else.

Of course, God created all things and our earth was created by God "in the beginning'. God tells us what that was in the beginning, in Genesis 1:

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

God does not tell us when that beginning was in our kind of time. From this mass God explains step by step what He did to make it into the earth as we know it now.

I explained this carefully, how could you change that into that I don't know that God created our earth?
You can count back from Jesus genealogies all the way to Adam and fill in any blanks where ages were not given with biblical events that can be placed within the given time references .. If you claim the heaven and earth was created in the beginning of the first day I agree .. If you are saying billions of years of heaven and earth physical creation existed I disagree .. God is timeless and cannot be timed .. God does not need our help, His Word is stand alone true and He inspired every Word of it .. If God turned the water into wine and made Aarons staff sprout, bud , flower and produce almonds overnight why would I or anyone question 6 day creation ? If you don't believe it then you've said God's Word is too much to believe without ''ifs and buts'' .. You can't have it both ways .. God doesn't care what you decide, it's your/our choice .. But if you shut doors or confess a lie instead of God's Word you want go far no matter how right you think you are .. And if you teach others they will take liberties to take it further until it's completely eroded away ..

Where is your night and day to complete a full day you can have morning dusk and evening dawn twilight time but to complete a day there needs to be midnight and midday mentioned.

and those people of old had no understanding of minutes and seconds you have to stand in their shoes and understand why God taught them the way he did.

I believe they knew fully well what that part of the day was to them morning and evening dusk and dawn was to them it was a period that they couldn’t calculate thus they understood it was a time frame they didn’t understand. today everyone knows what time it is in the morning and evening without any visible light to tell time by Mechanical devises.

sorry bro, but this is nothing but an argument to not see things the way they are. These are not required for it to be a day. No one would think so

everyone one knows and evening and morning are one day, one sunset, one sunrise. One rotation

Evening to evening is counted 1 day ,4 watches in the dark of that day beginning evening/sunset and 12 hrs in a day beginning morning/sunrise .. Any part of a day or watch is counted as a whole day ..

Not if you live in their time, every evening and morning there is a twilight a period with visible light but no visible sun to see a shadow on a sundial that time is about 18min in the evening and morning. At night the people had to count stars to know what time it was called watches in the night.

does anybody today count stars at night no we have phones to tell your time?

If the day and night was cloudy they pretty had no choice but to guess the time.

Yes it important to know their mind set to know why scripture isn’t written the way it is.

No not twilight 18 minutes in the evening and morning, that time was measured and figured to be how long it took to walk called a biblical mile

you have no idea what people thought over 6000 years ago

evening and morning mean that, evening and morning period
