Italy was kind of caught of guard and they are not having thousands and thousands dying no that is some odd propaganda to scare people
there's no other data from others countries that will justify such a statement, China is already decreasing in numbers and there is no cure as of right now so simple anti microbe products have decreased the cases
so you rely on DR. fauci for that info. when data shows other whys. across the whole world there are only about 182 thousand cases, but out of the blue America will have millions and millions of deaths

This is exactly what I am saying China took the threat seriously and implemented drastic measures and built 14 temporary hospitals to fight the the threat. Their stats would have been quite different otherwise...

I do not rely on Dr Fauci but on historical data. What I am telling you is that your initial projection (first post) is based on a linear scale and this is definitively incorrect. If there is no threat from your perspective, good for you...
today is more modernized than historical data, there are faster ways and better treatments, yes things might be little slow as in response time but technological advances that were not available in past times is better today than even 20 years ago.
when you rely on history you have to take in account of the technologically used to treat infection.
when was personal hand sanitation products were invented.

I don't understand how Trump made him a spokesman for this crisis. Even the flu at its worst did not generate "millions" of deaths. Less than 100,000.

In that year the population of the USA was approx 328 million. So do the math and the percentage of deaths was MINUSCULE compared to the population.

I don't know the facts here, but what you said was very unkind. One thing that you must comprehend is the bible specifically teaches on the power of life and death is in the tongue which means we need to be extremely careful how we say things. If you can't say anything nice then its better not to respond. Now, you can correct without getting disrespectful but I think you took this completely wrong. This person shared a statement as well as a news article that backed up what he was saying and you were just basically told him that he didn't have any basic knowledge of statistics or understanding....how rude was that?!

mmm well arent people thankful that the chinese had alerted everyone first rather than just let the virus out and NOT told anyone. Every year there is some new strain of flu that nobody has immunity to yet.
If they had not reported the deaths people would just be unaware and not taking steps to prevent or build up immunity, or look after each other.
Last year I went on a gardening road trip on a bus and came back with a bad cold. It was probably cos of sitting in a bus with lots of elderly people and lack of air circulation. some of those coaches can be stuffy ad you cant even open windows despite the air cond.
I also catch anything thats going round at school. I always make sure I have adequate ventilation, when Im driving, always open windows and my library too. when school holidays came round all the teachers just stayed home, they were all sick!

on elder care...when worked in retirement villages with care home attached, they all had hand sanitisers and we were told if we had any flu like symptoms not to go inside. When you go in, it always smells strongly of antiseptic. Its a bit sad that some of the residents dont have access to fresh air, though people do their best to grow plants inside.
When it's time to answer for actions made, pass the blame to someone else that's really nice.
