Why Red X on @Lightskin post... isn't that your dogma?
I enjoy popping by here sometimes and checking in on those who don't fear the Lord, and for whom the Scriptures do not apply because of their false doctrines.

I thought of you all when I read the conclusion of the Bible today, "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."

We studied Hebrews yesterday and I thought of you again. Those 5 parenthetical warnings don't apply to you.

You antichrists have already overcome. Wow! None of you could possibly be houses built on sand. Amazing. Jesus said that, "He who endures to the end will be saved." But in your magic kingdom, you already have. But when the Son of Man sends out His angels, and they weed out of His Kingdom everything that causes sin and all who do evil, many of you antichrists will be thrown into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Many cleaving to your doctrines of demons are 1 talent servants - worthless servants who will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Some have unforgiveness in their hearts and still claim to be forgiven. Many have not crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires but still claim to belong to Christ, contrary to the Word of God. You cannot read the Bible with humility but your uncircumcised ears can't hear it. You're not in the Sabbath rest, Christ is not Head over all things for you. You follow your soul, not the Holy Spirit.

Each Gospel tells you He came to baptize you with His Holy Spirit. And 1 Cor. 10:1-11 isn't a warning for you. You try to behold His kindness but reject His severity, claiming you could not be broken off, which is untrue. "Touch no unclean thing and He will receive you," but that's not for you either.

Does your eye cause you to sin? None of you could be an Ananias or Sapphira? Crazy. You all abide in the Vine automatically - branches that could never be burned. So amazing. Jesus said He loves those who obey Him and only He who does His Father's will will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. O, all is so easy for you. But narrow is the gate and difficult the Way which leads to life and few are they that find it.

You don't serve the Lord with fear and rejoice with trembling. You don't kiss the Son, so His anger flares at you as you walk in your own way, unlike a disciple of Jesus. For the children of God are being led by the Spirit, not what they want, think and feel.

It's incredible that He could never vomit you out of His mouth. That poor church at Laodicea. If only they had been as rich as you.

but Peter is speaking to people in the present tense saying a people/nation that was not a people/nation is now a people/nation of God -- not to Jews 'after the church age' . . ?
when written, it was either during or before 'the church age' ((deferring to your mid-Acts changeover)), not after.
wouldn't you need the church age to already be over when Peter writes this letter in order for that to fit the nation of Israel?
I believe the Bible to be set up in chronological order as events play out in human history. As an example:

The four gospels - preparing the Jews for their promised kingdom and how to live in that kingdom when He is King. But He warns them to seek His righteousness first. That would come after the cross.

Acts - this records the early Church, the Jews rejection and the transition from the kingdom at hand to Paul reaching out to the Gentiles with the d,b,r for sins. Because of the Jews rejection, the kingdom has been postponed. Acts is not a doctrinal book for the body of Christ.

Paul’s letters - the doctrine for the body of Christ and how to live victoriously as a Christian in a dark world.

Hebrews through Jude- the body of Christ has been raptured in Paul’s epistles and God once again turns His attention to His physical people the nation of Israel preparing them again for the coming kingdom. The major change is the cross has occurred. There are similarities in doctrine to the body of Christ, but be careful because there are some obvious differences.

Jews heading to the millennium. If you want the body of Christ, go to Paul’s epistles.
No it's not. Peter is speaking to the elect of the scattered tribes (the "all Israel" of Paul in Romans) that was being saved when Peter and James wrote to them in the 1st century.

(1 Pet 1:1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia)

Peter is writing to the remnant of the scattered tribes of Israel, in the Greek - diaspora
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
G1290 diaspora dee-as-por-ah'

from G1289;

dispersion, i.e. (specially and concretely) the (converted) Israelite resident in Gentile countries.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(1 Pet 1:2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied)

(1 Pet 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light)

The physical nation was being transformed in a spiritual nation which included the Gentiles. The holy nation status was previously only conferred on the physical nation.

(Deu 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth)

(Exo 19:6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.)

Peter is applying and transferring all the previous "titles" of the physical Nation to the elect/remnant the body of Christ.

The physical nation lost it's "special" status as predicted by Jesus and went *poof* in the war of 66-70 AD.

(Isa 65:15 And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name)

James address the same diaspora Israelites who were becoming part of the "all Israel" that was being saved.

(James 1:1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting)

There are no twelve tribes in the body of Christ. There is no Jew or Gentile. The twelve tribes will be scattered abroad during the tribulation. The term twelve tribes is a reference to the entire nation of Israel, not Jewish Christians. That’s a commentary untruth.

Translation according to judges:
God’s irrevocable gifts are revocable because Jesus’ obedience wasn’t good enough to help people weak in faith to the point of despair.
I would think if God took responsibility for his people's believing to the extent you osas'ers say he does there would be no such thing as weak or failed believing in the body of Christ.

Slaughter the weak lambs into oblivion. Let the purge begin.
No, weak lambs are not cast away.
Unbelieving ex-lambs who have chosen not to trust in Christ anymore and who refuse to come back are.

and having found, He doth lay [it] on His shoulders rejoicing, and having come to the house, He doth call together the friends and the neighbours, saying to them, rejoice with Me, because I found My sheep — the lost one!
(Luke 15:5-6 ylt)
seeing that the trumpet has not sounded, and The Door of heaven so closed, i can scarcely believe Christ has finished rounding up His own and carrying them home yet. if this is indeed His sheep, He is the Good Shepherd - He won't stop until He finds them and brings them again through The Gate.
Jesus brought very few lost sheep of Israel and Prodigals home when he came to do that.
Osas has it that he always succeeds in doing that. (I mean the new osas. The old osas says real sheep and prodigals never leave to begin with).
I wish that were true, but it's just not.
His ministry to the lost sheep of Israel prove its not.

He wrote a treatise called "On the Jews and their Lies" in which he urged persecution of the jews. If that's not hatred of jews, I don't know what would qualify.
I read Jews and Their Lies online "cover to cover", but I never came across a single line where Luther called for the persecution of Jews, nor one where he said he hated them. I did read a lot of criticism of the Jews' beliefs and practices, which I found both shocking and and fully worthy of them. I decided to Youtube "On The Jews And Their Lies" and found one that Anderson brought to his church with both barrels blazing :p

Sure there were, one right here:

(Rom 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin)

The twelve tribes, not former tribe members. Words are important.
