Saved BY faith FOR good works. Works save no one, but it is a fruit every Christian should have.
All genuine Christians are fruitful, although not all are equally fruitful. No fruit at all demonstrates a "nominal" Christian.

so, when one of the doctors heading the national virus response team says " we are counting every person who tests positive for the virus as a virus death", I am supposed to just dismiss this as no big deal??
It depends. In this hypothetical scenario, are you lobotomised? If not, then no.

I believe what I was taught as a Roman Catholic: Jesus died for my sins. And, that I must follow what Jesus taught while he LIVED, or he LIVED IN VAIN.

Intolerence is an awful thing. Many people leave their faith because of it and that is very sad.
PS: Faith means belief. You either do or you do not. I DO. That said, I do not judge anyone here and it makes me sad that I am being judged for what I was taught and what I believe as a result of those teachings. Jesus did not die in vain. His teachings are central and paramount and if we do not try to follow those teachings, then we cannot call ourselves real Christians. I never see ONE word about Jesus's life and teachings .. why is that? If Jesus thought we couldn't do it/be good enough, then why did He teach about love, compassion, and how we are to BEHAVE. I really believe we have to live our Faith. Faith and works (works to me means trying to do as Jesus asked us) go together.

This will be my last post and I am sure no one will be sorry to see me leave. I wish you all well.
Well, i try to understand, half of my familybackground is RCC. As a Follower of Jesus someone will Show works. Otherwise he is obviously no Follower of Jesus. But RCC teaches you need the works to be saved. And this is not true. No one is able to live a perfect life. And you musst be perfect to hold all the comandments. We are failing even to love as we should. So If you are failing in any point to follow Jesus comandments, are you saved ore are you lost?

there is that, there is also the thing that some people , if told about all the things that are happening now about 2 months ago, they would have called us crazy conspiracy theorists .

anyone who is bold enough to stand up the mainstream narrative will be called names.

what we are never called is correct when we are correct.
Correct.
Only about 20% are critical thinkers.
The pro shutdown, violate rights preemptive, quarantine healthy people crowd will erroneously cheer the next shutdown coming soon.

(The reopening of the country will,of course, trigger another wave of infections.)

So now the sheeple just see this insane shutdown as sop.

Iow....we are sc**** wd.
100% in democrats favor and instigated by and sponsored.

....all made possible by skewed projection of "millions dying"

Now the birth of preemptive shutdowns will ruin this country.

Last days insanity.
And tons cheer it on.

But remember....toilet paper will save you.

That is WHY the Democrats push "we will never see normal again"

They bamboozled you while you cheered them on and obeyed their insanity.

You can't fix stupid.
there were many polls out there where 70-80% of the folks who took them said they did not trust the media and the government.

now, according to the c.d.c., about 90% of people are following their recommendations.

so, It seems as if the masses think that when something serious happens, they media and the government will just start telling the truth.

this is next level, supernova stupid.

People have dumbed down on the left and the right.

Gateway Pundit would be a prime example.

No, your conclusion is wrong. People follow recommendations because of what happened in Italy.
Before Italy, everyone was saying, "'tis nothing but a flu", and some kept believing that for a while after, as well.
As powerful as media are, they are still not able to build Potemkin villages for all of us...
Many people have friends and family in Italy, and in this age of social media the media can't cover up things effectively anymore like they could. So people following recommendations doesn't mean anyone suddenly trusts the media.

Perfection.

If you sin just once. Here is the verdict

rom 3: 23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God..

Here is the good news.

Rom 3: 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Thank you @eternally-gratefull
so, from that I gather I can go to Church on Sunday, praise and worship the holy father, them Monday morning go to Las Vegas, gamble, watch pole dancers, do a line of cocaine, then come back to church Sunday business as usual?

Yes you can, but you would not do it, right? Why not?

I think heaven weeps over the carnal believer.
I think the "vacuum "will always be there. The allurement of the world.
We need that dose of Holiness in our being and to seek heaven in such a way that He invades us and we get as disgusted with carnality and sin as heaven is.
Oswald chambers says "Jesus did not come to teach men to be holy. He came to make men holy"

It is deeper than that.
To many believers the option to sin is met with forgiveness or they see "preemptive grace",such as those that believe they need not repent due to preemptive forgiveness.

I say they they do not know God.
If sin is that flippant...they do not know God.
Little new born believers are extended more mercy than mature saints.
Some are still in heavy sin and in some blissful fairy tale land thinking they are always and forever preemptively and nonchalantly automatically forgiven.
