I do not believe it is the church or the Holy Spirit....

Paul writes this to those who were being taunted by supposed teachers that the DAY of THE LORD had already come...they thought they missed it...Paul goes on to say, this can not happen until the man of sin is revealed...and it can´t happen until he who holds all things back is taken out of the way...

Then sir, please also explain 2 Thesselonians 2:7

It is clear as day.....the man of SIN AND HIS ADVENT BY THE POWER OF SATAN will COME TO PASS WHEN IT IS TIME. Until that time SATAN WILL CONTINUE TO HOLD AND RETAIN THAT POWER until it is TIME FOR HIM TO BE REVEALED.

That is my view and I was raised believing the whole church, Holy Spirit thing which does not fit the text!

Satan will not or cannot relinquish that power until the ONE that will be the man of sin comes into being and or arrives on the scene. HE WILL BE REVEALED IN HIS TIME.....what is it that is holding back, restraining Satan from relinquishing the power and giving it to the ONE THAT WILL BE THE MAN OF SIN....TIME....IT IS NOT YET TIME....and HE HAS NOT come on the scene yet.....that is how it is presented.....this whole concept that it is the church restraining or Holy Spirit is NOT given in the text....what is listed..

To make a logical assessment as to who the one doing the restaining of the man of sin is, we need to look at the context in which it appears. Assuming the majority perspective that the man of sin is the Antichrist and that the time in which he appears is during the reign of the beast in affiliation with the great red dragon, criteria affiliated with these three entities should then provide the answer.
When the dragon is cast to the earth, whereupon he vests the beast with his power causing the world's adoration for the beast and the dragon; the beasts mouth (another description for the Antichrist), then performs great signs with this power. This power from the dragon which does not exist currently with man is then that which prevents the beast's ascension from the sea and bottomless pit, along with its mouth, a.k.a., the man of sin. The one who is then preventing the man of sin from appearing prior to the end times, is the one who has yet to provide the key to the angel of the bottomless pit to open it, thereby providing the beast and its mouth with its power.

It does not jive at all especially in light of Revelation....all the souls saved during the tribulation...impossible if the SPIRIT IS TAKEN AWAY because the HOLY SPIRIT leads and guides into all truth and convinces the world of sin....plus....The imminent return is another farce that they try to fit within the current scope of this conversation.....does not jive either!

Yes it is speaking of the last day the end of time. A reminder that it is not only the Holy Spirit who teaches us but also brings to our mind the things God has taught . Not to look to sign as wonderments rather than believing scripture .

The letter of the law would seem to be that which works iniquity. When Christ came as the Son of man part of the work of deceiving all the nations was revealed . Satan fell from the previous position of deceiving all the nations .The idea a person must be Jewish, as if God was a man was put to rest once and for all .

Without the letter of the law that which works iniquity. The devil has no power.

How can it be a fallacy when it is all clearly spelled out, not only in this epistle, but in other prophecies? And so is the imminent return of Christ for His saints. It will be unannounced and unexpected, since that is what Christ has said.
