Well I may be the only one but I still have hope for this country. There are so many good people who are fighting to protect it and our government knows more than what the public is seeing. We must do all we can to spread truth and correct false information.

Our country is going up in flames, literally, as anarchists take over the streets. They have spray painted churches with fu@$ on the outside. They have looted, burned and decimated businesses people have spent their lives building. They are trying to bring down this country. They don't care about a random black man who died, they don't even know his name. Chicago has had 191 people murdered to date. If black lives matter, why don't their lives matter?! People want this rioting to stop. They don't want churches defaced, businesses burned, their cities left in shambles. Floyds own family don't want it. Stealing big screen tvs, Nikes and cases of beer and burning a city to the ground is not protesting. It's rioting, there is a difference.
Im not supporting rioters. We have had the same experience here in the past but on a much smaller scale. I saw an interview with a white man who worked at the store where Floyd was. He said the man was a regular customer and there had never been a problem with him. I assume the 191 people in Chicago were black and wonder how many white people there were murdered by Police over a relativly minor incident. This is not just about one incident its about around 200 years of institutionaised racisism. Its also about a Country blindly sliding into dictatorship or civil war

Judging from the sources provided by @posthuman in another thread, it looks like many of the rioters/looters are white, right wing extremists.
How can you tell and why would it matter ? lolol

I’m talking about sources. I’m not claiming anything outside of what the sources are saying. I specifically said so in my post. Your straw man doesn’t apply😜😁🤦‍♀️.

Do you think that the President is acting like a uniting force in this country?

Unfortunately you’re right.

I’ve been working out there since the 90s, except from deployment, and as a long term law enforcement officer I have experienced many things that makes me think about the way society works.

We have a mix of people that some people think can be treated like dirt. That mix includes non white people, homeless people, beggars, LBGTQ people, minorities in general etc.

I’ve lost count of how many of these people I have rushed to hospitals, because there was no time waiting for the paramedics to arrive at the scene. Others I’ve taken to the morgue.

I don’t want to go into the details, but people should get the possibility of joining us on patrol for a few days to see the downside of our country.

Maybe things isn’t as black and white as the president wants us to think...

And yet the videos show that not to be true. Already re-writing it. Whatever side you come down on, I challenge everyone to watch Tucker Carlesons program last night. He nailed everyone, every side. Give it a listen and see if you don't think you find some truth in what he's saying.

He’s a smooth talker and Fox is the President’s sidekick.

He’s not contributing in uniting the country. Why isn’t the president and his sidekicks out there to calm down the people?

the only thing that will unite our country is the media stop lying and report honestly and with no political lean.

just this morning, i heard news say " protest began peacefully, then turned violet". misleading reporting .

there was , as in the last week, a violent intent waiting to happen.

media deception has played a big role in ripping america apart...

Do you believe anyone is doing anything to unite the country?
I have not seen a single elected official nor any news source that has done anything but push their own agenda.
But this has been the norm for years and I see no hope for any change.

There is a white supremist group that has gone to these protests just to help create chaos to keep focus off of the real issue at hand and keep the focus on the rioting and looting. America has a racial problem and it doesn't want to deal with it. That is the problem.

They are still protesting because they want the other officers that were holding him down charged also. A lawyer representing Floyd's family, Antonio Romanucci, said the three other officers involved are also criminally responsible for Floyd's death. All have been fired, but none of the others have been charged. He called those officers "shameless" and said they had every opportunity to prevent Floyd's death, knowing that restricting his airway could kill him. The family has called for those officers to be charged, and for Chauvin to face first-degree — rather than third-degree — murder charges.

George Floyd had an autopsy done by an independant pathologist. He died from asphyxiation, large areas of scrapes and abrasions on Floyd's face indicated the force that was used to press him into the ground. Baden, also said that he could find no underlying conditions that contributed to Floyd's death, saying he was in good health. If 4 people rob a bank and a bank teller is killed how many would be charged in that murder? I've seen people bring up MLK in different social media platforms. He has said in reference to rioting, " A riot is the language of the unheard." No he didn't condone violence but he understood WHY the people were hurting.

funny, i see a lot of white supremists with dark skin rioting and looting.

and, the white supremist agitating thing is a TOTAL MEDIA LIE.

this post backs up what i just said- we do not have a race problem, we have a lying media problem.

they take a horrible incidence , where the cop basically murdered a man, and blast it out 24/7 that cops are out hunting and killing black folks .
and that is a lie of course.
meanwhile, dozens of black folks in chicago get shot, and many die, in each month, but it is mainly done by other black folks , so where is the media, where is the outrage?
oh, there is not any, because it does not push any agenda..

No point in talking if you're not willing to listen to it. And there is no calming down anarchists.

Yes, I do. You're not going to unite rioters. But the rest of the country agrees this has looting and burning has to stop. And the country also agreed that Floyds death was wrong. The president said so and said the FBI and Feds would be looking into it. Yet the Dems make it look like he killed the man himself. smh They're more outraged that Trump stood in front of a church than people looting, burning, beating and killing people. smh Unreal.

Yes the violence needs to stop .....................what inflamed the situation was that the officer was not immediately charged and taken into custody.

He’s the President, he’s the CiC, he’s the top dog of everything...yes, I think he’s the one responsible for addressing this matter.

Are you saying everyone in America is anarchistic? I think many people would listen. But like it is now, with a president doing nothing...of no one is calming down.

I don’t think the rest of the country would like to see the president deploying military force on American citizens.

In spite of all the turmoil and division, it's nice to see those who (from the heart) seek for solutions and solidarity.
