That’s not the standard understanding of the theology
No it’s not but it’s the biblical one. Jesus said that any one that believes in him will never die. The only thing about us that dies is this body. Unless Jesus lied, then we MUST be taken out of this body prior to its death. I don’t know why this is rejected so badly, it is the only way to reconcile what Jesus said and the only way to reconcile that it is appointed unto man once to die.

Besides that, we are supposed to comfort one another with these words. How is it a comfort to me or someone who lived a thousand years ago to think that some group of believers way off in the future will be raptured and won’t face death when Jesus said ALL BELIEVERS of all times will never have to face death.

FYI for everyone. If you’re doctrine about the rapture, tribulation, the man of sin, the return of Christ or the resurrection contradicts ONE VERSE in the Bible then your doctrine is WRONG.

And one last thing. BOTH of these verses are the FIRST RESURRECTION. Verse 3 is the resurrection of the Old Testament saints and verse 5 is the resurrection of the New Testament believers.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Jesus comes to every believer just prior to our deaths and takes us into heaven, that’s the rapture.
"Full Preterism" is heretical, that denies a literal future coming of Jesus Christ in the clouds heaven.

I agree 100%

It's the false teaching found in "Full Preterism" that denies a future coming of Jesus Christ in the heavens.

I don’t call it preterism I call it the FULL counsel of God. That’s where you consider all related verses to come up with your doctrine.

Not if you understand how to rightly divide the word of truth, mainly between Israel and the body of Christ.

There is no division between the two they are one in the same. David was just as much a Christian as I am.

When the Bible says to rightly divide the word of truth it means to decipher between the earthly version and the heavenly version.

That truth is even reiterated in Hebrews speaking SPECIFICALLY about the word of God. “Dividing asunder of soul and spirit (Heavenly, Spiritual) AND joints and marrow (earthly).

Heb 4:12 (KJV) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Israel is not the body of Christ, never was and never going to be. Until that is understood, false doctrine will abound. David did not have what we have. David was not absent from the body, present with the Lord. David was not born again. David was not circumcised with the circumcision made without hands by the operation of God. David did not have the imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ. David did not have his sins washed away. If these things were true of David, He would have gone straight to heaven to be with the Lord upon His death. We have something better.

In fact it is plain nonsense.
Nonsense is believing verses that support your heresy and throwing out those that don’t. Is this not true?

You make a list of the verses I’ve thrown out and I’ll make a list of the verses you’ve thrown out. Verses my first pass.

Heb 9:27 (KJV) And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Jos 23:14 (KJV) And, behold, this day I am going the way of all the earth: and ye know in all your hearts and in all your souls, that not one thing hath failed of all the good things which the LORD your God spake concerning you; all are come to pass unto you, and not one thing hath failed thereof.

Joh 11:26 (KJV) And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Heb 11:13 (KJV) These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

I would not want to be you on judgement day when you stand before the Lord and explain to him why you don’t believe any of those verses. Do you not know that those of us who are preaching the word will be held accountable for how we preached it?

If I’m wrong at least I can say well the Bible said that THESE ALL DIED and I just believed it.

There is "One" future time of resurrection for all that have lived, both righteous and wicked Daniel 12:1-2, John 5:28-29

This takes place immediately after the tribulation, at the second coming of Jesus Christ, Matthew 24:29-31

Daniel below clearly shows this last day resurrection, at the time of tribulation, the books are open, righteous and wicked.

Last Day Resurrection Of All!

Daniel 12:1-2KJV
12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Last Day Resurrection Of All!

John 5:28-29KJV
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Last Day Resurrection Of All!

Matthew 24:29-31KJV
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Last Day Resurrection Of All!

John 6:40KJV
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Because the comfort isnt speaking about that.

The comfort is that we get to see our loved ones again, that is the comfort Paul is talking about, in context.

Maybe that dead space between your ears changed but what I’m saying hasn’t changed.

I guess you thought I was saying David was a levitical priest or something. That’s not what I meant, I meant a priest after the order of Melchizedek, like Jesus was. Priests like these:

1Pe 2:5 (KJV) Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I can’t wait until you meet David and tell him that lol. I can’t debate with a person who believes in five different gospels and practically worships the antichrist Jews. Sorry 146 but you’re blind as a bat and you don’t want to see.

Well which one do we need to cut out of the Bible, the one BEFORE the thousand year reign or the one AFTER the thousand year reign?

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

To deny a future coming of Jesus Christ in the heavens as (Full Preterist) do is heresy!

2Peter 3:3-7KJV
3 Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:
6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished:
7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
