Hmm ....
According to the Oxford Dictionary, effort is an attempt to do something. When we use ''effort'' it implies that we are trying to accomplish a task or solve a problem.
.... so, it is not you that is thinking of believing so therefore it is not your mind or your effort ... I am confused. Who is doing the believing?
Re: we cannot force ourselves to believe something we know is untrue .... AMEN, and since you were a slave to Satan and No One Seeks God .... God changed your disposition by giving you a new heart and so now you freely want to trust him

John 6:29 Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.”
Well someone is doing the WORK ... and this verse says God is doing the work to believe ... and we are not saved by works... so, sounds like an open and shut case.

I have him on IGNORE. When I first came on here I read 3 of his posts. He was .... hmmm ... not the most pleasant personality. I will let @preacher4truth stick handle his input if he is so inclined.

"Traps" is a word to make you feel better for it suggests a trick and therefore makes you feel better about your position. I only offer logic and scripture the best I can IMO.

Hey Freddy boy..where have you been?,x

Fortunately, as someone from a Jewish setting, I was made to learn Hebrew/portions of Aramaic. But like you, I was already predestined by God to accept His call and I did!
So how is what you did different than others you say use the KJV?

Exactly! He teaches that God chose him because he chose God. Since God saw he would do that he teaches God elected him because of it. That is merit, not grace. Again, grace is unmerited favor.
Hmmm ... well, I sort of hope he's right (and I am wrong) as I assume I will be rewarded for my act of righteousness that saved me and not the other guy. PRAISE ME ... lol ... looks out for lightning bolt .... I hope God doesn't get ticked at satire.

Aside: Here's a question for you that I thought about a long time and finally came up with an answer (aside: doesn't mean I have the correct answer). Question: Does God ever LAUGH? (humorous laugh that is)

Good post and truth.

I don't have him on ignore and I don't blame you for putting him there. I do see he says he has me on ignore, but then bad mouths me with me on ignore. Everyone on here knows what I think of people who have a person on ignore while talking bad about them at the same time. :)

I am not concerned about my past, I just want to know from those who are OSAS if being into witchcraft and Paganism after accepting Christ still guaranteed me Heaven?

Hmmmm ... a prevenient grace argument.
Once again if you want to talk to me talk to me
I am not here to discuss doctrines made by men but what people actually believe
when you try to talk to me as an Arminian or put me under the scope of another doctrine you are not hearing me and have no basis for which to discuss anything with me

I am not going to respond to this post. Instead again i
Am
Going to ask you to respond to what i said Not what you think I said

At this point I’m not sure if this fits but will try. Belief is child like faith. Hearing and taking it as truth.

I have questioned in my own heart if there are some who are wicked and never would believe, then I remember Jesus speaking to the Pharisees and scribes.

If God knows the end from the beginning, then would He not know who are His? It’s just then a matter of His intervention in our life.

Is this Calvinistic?

I know you didn’t ask me the question....but I believe God does laugh....especially when I tell him how things are going to turn out.....he’s up there laughing at me.....haaa.

Pretty funny!

Sad that @eternally-gratefull and others agree that God chose them because they chose him.

They don't know the difference between merit and grace. Since they teach that, they teach they merit being saved because God saved them for knowing they'd choose him.

You teach God chose you because you chose him. That's what you teach, and it is merit, not grace.
No
I teach god chose to save everyone who obeys the gospel
whike you teach god only saves a select few while opening their heart and keeping everyone else’s heart closed and that’s ok

It’s not ok. It destroys his own character

Oh biker....how can one who has died with Christ, received a new nature do this?

Horoscopes can be tempting for a time. Until you meet a true prophet. Lol

If you are saved, then your past sin is forgiven..God sees it no more...you have a new nature,a new beginning in Christ.

My Salvation is secure, but where would I have gone after accepting God and then worshipping the Davil if had died while worshipping the Devil?

I agree, but after accepting Christ and then going and worshipping Satan, had I died while worshipping Satan, would I still gone to Heaven?

Like being Saved now and taking the Mark of the Beast, do you still go to Heaven when Revelation states you burn forever?

? Biker, have you received the baptism of Holy Spirit?

Once someone is saved.....filled with Holy Spirit, the old has passed away. Once you know the Father through the Son, what would ever entice one to worship the enemy? These thoughts are totally wrong biker.

A born again would never take the Mark of the Beast...how could they when Christ dwells in their spirit.
