I cannot speak for the author of this thread nor would I dare but the thread began as Not By Works. For the most part it is still about that (with a few drifts along the way). For me there is no debate.

God's Word is clear: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "

From God to us. Praise God Almighty.

Again you have twisted my words.....

Fruits of the Spirit..should be seen in a Born Agains life...
You’re right, and that means not becoming defensive against people who are trying to help you ascertain Truth.

1Co 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.

1Co 4:4 For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2Co 3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

The only way that fruit of Holy Spirit is produced is to stop looking at self as yet alive, but to look at Jesus and His accomplishments in our salvation. He put our ego to death at the Cross. I. And has replaced us as lords of our life for He is Lord.

So when we look into a mirror, see Him. There’s our victory! Otherwise, we fall into condemnation, falling short continually. We don’t judge ourselves, nor others.

Let Him prune off the dead things that He might flow freely.

Is so much more restful to our soul.

And I’m still in process....

In error, when I hear the term OSAS I connect it to cheap grace.

In error, when some people hear Torah / obedience they connect it to works salvation.

We need to concede that we all have some further study to do. The ones that keep on judging one another, the Bible warns us if it is a false accusation you are guilty of the false accusation.

HEY bro, do not connect Easy Believism of TV evangelism, TO TRUE OSAS BELIEVERS. Yes there are a few good Bible Teachers on TV, rest are False Teachers. These with that faith of Easy Believism the vast majority WILL fall away, because they are not GROUNDED in the TRUTH. YES, they get a few People SAVED, but for the MOST PART, I believe they are ushering people through the Broad GATE, onto the EASY ROAD that Leads to Destruction, and the DEVIL is laughing all the way.

TRUE ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED are THOSE of US that Have a NEVER ENDING AGAPE LOVE FOR CHRIST.

Ephesians 6:24 (HCSB)
24 Grace be with all who have undying {agape} love
for our Lord Jesus Christ
.

1 John 2:19 (HCSB)
19 They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.

Yes, I think all who have fallen for a false gospel like: "Just receive JESUS as Savior, and you can deal with HIS LORDSHIP later."
That kind of Broad, Easy way to SALVATION, gets you more SCALPS to count, but it is a FALSE GOSPEL.

I do not think Easy Believism is in all reality part OSAS, because they believe in a different GOSPEL. Let me prove it to you:

Romans 10:8-10 (NASB)
8 But what does it say? "THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART"—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, {That kind of FAITH, requires that Receiving HIM as LORD, takes place in your Heart (human spirit) first, to be a CONFESSION.}
9 that if you confess {Not just merely PROFESS IT.} with your mouth Jesus as Lord {Meaning that, out of LOVE for HIM, you surrendered to Jesus as Lord of your LIFE, and in your Heart (human spirit) HE IS MASTER.}, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; {None of THIS, is of human works, it is what the HOLY SPIRIT DOES in our HEART, including Confession.}
10 for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.

1 Corinthians 12:3 (HCSB)
3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,”
and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” {as a Confession} except by the Holy Spirit.

{NOTICE in Rom. 10:8-10: -- RECEIVING HIM AS LORD, HAPPENS THE HEART FIRST, Then CONFESSING that REALITY HAPPENS VERBALLY (a work of the HOLY SPIRIT), THEN AND ONLY THEN HE BECOMES YOUR SAVIOR. Telling People to receive HIM as SAVIOR, and you can deal with HIS LORDSHIP LATER, is a FALSE GOSPEL IN MY OPINION.}

I am not being defensive...the only time you helped me was when I was agreeing with your teaching...then I watched a few of you and didn’t like what I saw..or what you taught.
I disagreed with some of your teaching, especially in regard to the fruit of the Spirit...then you turned against me...I will not follow what does not sit right in my spirit
I have the Lord to help me ascertain truth.

You don’t seem to acknowledge the fruits of the Spirit..that worries me....

Everyday when I look at myself, I can find my faults, if I look closely enough. That is why everyday, I have to ask the Lord to help me and trust in his grace and salvation. I have to honestly say Lord, I fall short and cannot do this without you...I am weak but you are strong...Have mercy upon me.

There were times in the past, where I tried to do this on my own and would make even the smallest mistake and feel so lost and without hope. I had to and I am still learning to turn it over to Jesus and let him help me and believe and trust in his wondrous grace.

The more I tried to be perfect in my own strength, the more I failed, but the more I give it to him and believe in him to see me through, the closer I get. Yet at times I still fall short. It is only by the grace of God that I can stand.
Amen ... our focus should always be on His Grace.

We are a New creation in Him.

The New nature is what we live out ....focus on Him and we are empowered to walk in the Spirit.

His Grace is sufficient.

All the offensive behavior while yammering on about not seeing other people's fruit? Blindness.

Again being personal...look at yourself dear..you keep accusing me.

Explain the fruits of the Spirit..I have asked you and your mates this question many times.

Why do you avoid it and ignore that question?

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Gal 5:22

If one wants to exemplify the fruits of the Spirit then one needs to let Jesus be the supply.
In scripture we also see the grace of God doing something in, for to, or through someone.
Under Grace sin shall no dominion over you.

It’s not about ME, it’s about YOU swaying to and fro from one view to another depending on who it is you’re collaborating with at the moment. I’m grounded in Truth as is most EVERYONE trying to help YOU.

I disagree...when one walks with the Spirit for many yrs.....they should bear fruit....they should be focused on being more like Jesus.

Each day we walk with the Lord...we should ask/pray to be more like Jesus and die to self more and more each day....

That should be one of the main focus....for a Born Again.

Let your light shine out from within my heart Lord..I want to be more and more like Jesus...Amen.
And....scripture tells we have a choice to make minute by minute>>> walk in the flesh, or walk in the Spirit.
