Calvinist be like, open to Romans 9 and Ephesians 1 and ignore all other scriptures. We’re going to read these two passages until you start seeing things that aren’t really there. Ready? 😉
Their interpretation of those passages.

What happened? I hope you weren't bullied or shamed for saying amen.

This sounds to me like the old "No one here believes that! You're a liar! A slanderer" straw man that one uses on me quite frequently as I reference the erroneous beliefs of some.

What I said stands: Any person who believes God saved them because he saw they would choose him believes, albeit it could be in ignorance, in merit and conflate merit with grace. Grace is undeserved and unmerited favor, it is not based on God rewarding us for an action he saw us do.

And yes, some on here do believe this. I've shared evidence of this in the past. I'm not getting into a war with a person who outright denies things when given proof, then resorts to name calling. Not you JR, another person.

she saw your refusal to answer every time you lie about people claiming to chose god and finally asked you the same thing everyone else has
are you going to turn on her too?

No matter how much you point out all the flaws, support with the scriptures with sound exegesis, use sound reasoning and

judgement as you have stated... it has all the earmarks of cultic thinking..... it may appeal to the mind/intelligence but leaves the

heart cold.... sadly I might add.
I'm not doing it to benefit the adherents. Lots of people read these threads or so I've been told (y)

But I agree with your post.

not sure why that pot is needed. or any. :)

all one needs is to become as a little child -- humble and innocent. that is how one learns all truth -- with an open mind and heart -- honestly seeking.

I understand and absolutely agree and my post was for the adherents too...like I always say great minds think alike..... and we will forget the later part of that saying.;)

She’s passive-aggressive with two side orders of aggressive-aggressive. Reminds me of Christine Ford talking before the Senate judicial hearings in her itsy-bitsy baby voice.
Christine Ford. Don't remind me of that episode. o_O

That is pretty conflated even coming from someone who is well versed in conflating and confusing. No one has ever said they are in God's merit club and have conflated merit and grace.

Too bad you do that. It does not give credence to what you say.
