I remember a post about how "we" are perceived by others and how terrible we look...interesting.

Your another one who has risen, when I mention the fruit of the Spirit..you got very defensive...very telling that was.

Why on earth would anyone rise up about the fruit of the Holy Spirit....that is produced in a true follower of Christ.

It seems some are so insecure in their dogma so they mock and ridicule .... a dogma of exclusion and shutting people out of salvation

by a very false notion of total inability.... and yet why do people "suppress the truth in unrighteousness" (Romans) if they cannot respond to truth... I guess Calvin did not get that far in his schema.
Let them ridicule us, dear sister, so that God’s blessings may continue to pour down on us. ~ Matthew 5:10-12

You are my friend preacher..I agree it is sowing discord and division.....not nice EG.
This post about says it all.

You scream how you are mistreated

Yet because someone is nice to you and agrees with you it’s perfectly fine for him to Mistreat others

This in fact makes you no better than your accusers

Good day!

Me too @jackrosie me too.

The doctrine of unlimited atonement or universal atonement claims Jesus died for every sin committed by all mankind.

The doctrine of limited atonement or definite atonement claims Jesus died for each specific sin of only those who believe.

Basically...
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29

if you cannot wrap your mind around the fact that Jesus died for everyone, at least acknowledge the fact that those who call upon Him and accept his sacrifice in their place, are actually saved

you all go on and on about limited atonement but the problem is the Bible does not actually say that. It DOES say WHOSOEVER WILL, not excluding anyone. You Calvinists go further and declare God created people to accompany the devil when the Bible states God is not willing that any should perish and also states that God grieves over those who are lost and it saddens Him

However, you mistakenly take that to mean YOU are special when you are NOT at all 'special'. If you are indeed saved, then you are blessed as are all who accept Jesus as their Savior. Now go on and OBEY Him so you might call Him Lord as well

Stop offering half a sacrifice and simply believe what scripture states. That, would be that all are welcome even though not all will accept

Cut out your sorry sarcastic comments that do nothing for the belief you say you have in Christ. But perhaps you think you have liberty to mock those you think are outside of Christ?

So let's see, God is grieved and you are all bubbly bucolic happy. Interesting contrast.

@jackrosie you are not misrepresenting others by saying they believe they chose God as you are being accused. Several here teach it, I've quoted some of it.

It is exactly what many here teach, and it is part of the free will error.

hey...you are not talking to a babe in Christ now and I am not new around these parts. YOU have been advised mulitple of mulitple times that you misrepresent what those who are not Calvin's prodigy believe and it is not the phrase 'choosing God'. You have not quoted anyone saying that because no one does say it.

What does the Bible say about those who deliberately LIE? I really hesitate to call anyone a liar, but when someone consistently lies what else would they be?

you can prop up your new found friend all you want, but you cannot answer her prayers and you cannot give her a relationship with Jesus

so so so sad

AS it is, you don't have to choose, right? Because you mistakenly believe there are no choices DESPITE the fact that God consistently says to choose throughout the Bible. If your child dies in an accident you think God made that happen. In spite of the fact that the Bible indicates we are to be aware of the enemy who wishes to destroy us and we should pray and keep watch.

Calvinism is a nasty piece of work and the attitude it seems to spawn in its adherents is equally so.

If a person paid your utility bills, but the utility company didn't let you know it had been paid, and demanded you pay it, that is dishonest and crooked yet that is the position many have God in in their unfamiliarity of the atonement and propitiation, yes, even the Gospel itself.
That’s about as dumb an analogy as it gets. An accurate analogy is if a person paid your utility bill, you acknowledged their gift with joyful thanksgiving, but the utility company threw you in jail anyway,

Please notice I post scripture to nov25 that clearly indicates Jesus is a sacrifice for EVERYONE.

what does this loose cannon do? he laughs

even if you are a Calvinist, that should give you pause.

He laughs at the thought that Jesus offers salvation to all because tulip teaches him he is special.

God allows us to continue with who and what we are and He will also send further delusion to those who are deluded but you will not find that truth in the tulip playbook

“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13

Your hatred blinds you from God’s Word. 😊

honestly, this Calvinism seems to give no honor to the Bible and no fear (honor and respect for the fact He is God) of God

what kind of person keeps giving thumbs down on scripture but thumbs up for tulip falsehoods? I do not even see any scripture coming from them but just mocking and encouraging another to do the same

we are seeing right before our eyes this very scripture come to pass:

For if someone comes and proclaims a Jesus other than the One we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the One you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted, you put up with it way too easily. II Corinthians 11:4

if you choose Calvinism as your truth, that is one thing. but teaching another to mock and have no regard for the word because someone not a Calvinist posted it? well that is another thing entirely

the crisis is real

If as the New Testament declares, the devil seeks to devour, kill, steal and destroy, then he must be working for nothing if tulip is correct.

Why would the god of this world go out of his way to steal the word?

4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. II Corinthians 4

If it is true that God has already decided to only saved some as tulip declares, then why does the devil do the work he does?

For that matter, I cannot remember a Calvinist ever saying a thing about the devil. However the devil is a deceiver and as Jesus said, a liar from the beginning.

Don't fall for his lies. You DO have a choice in what you believe and God is not the author of evil nor does He create people to throw into the lake of fire with the devil. That belief is a lie and the devil is happy whenever someone believes it. He loves to see believe that because it throws God into a bad light and actually takes eyes off the fact the devil is behind the scenes doing what he has always done.

Calvin specifically justified capital punishment of heretics with Leviticus 24:16.

“The one who blasphemes the name of the Lord should be put to death; all the congregation must stone him. Any foreigner or native who blasphemes the Name should be put to death.”

He reserved free will for himself it seems or did he do this under compulsion from God?

Why would someone NOT rise up against erroneous heretical doctrine?

The Holy Spirit leads into all Truth.... and His fruit is real when we stand with Him not against Him.

and here is another thought regarding the acceptance of the word spoken to us by prophets and teachers and Jesus Himself:

Matt. 13:18-19 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Now why does Jesus portray the devil as desiring to steal the word that the ear heard but the heart is confused about? why would the devil be concerned that someone may hear, understand and respond?

do Calvinists believe the devil exists to steal the word or have they misplaced that spirit that is totally against God and wars against God all day long, with safety in Calvinism? I actually do wonder.

Listen you mockers: Jesus Himself said the devil is out to steal the truth from you. Hear and receive the truth or harden your heart more and continue blindly on your way.

This is not even about tulip. This is about heart attitudes and how you receive the truth. You can't blame anyone else for your behavior or the fact you appear to put a thumbs down on Bible verses. Are you perhaps influenced by something or someone you cannot see and have forgotten exists?

Depending on how far along the path of deception a person has already gone, that may or may not, give pause and perhaps even some personal reflection and a prayer or two for God's mercy to be delivered from all deception for the sake of your own soul

You know, the truth is like a can opener. It will open up your heart and reveal what is in there.

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

1Ho, every one that thirsts, come you to the waters, and he that has no money; come you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which satisfies not? listen diligently to me, and eat you that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

6Seek you the LORD while he may be found, call you on him while he is near:

7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, said the LORD.

9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not thither, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

11So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Isaiah 55
