I agree we are the temple of God but what I'm getting at is what is the abomination that is done to make something desolate. For clarity on what I'm asking, I believe that the abomination was killing Christ and the abomination led to the desolation of the Jews.

The AoD is an abomination that leaves someone or something desolate, so I'm asking you what was/is the abomination and what was/is left desolate in your view?
"And I will raise it in three days" It was raised three days later, built by the Branch,,,They build another in it's place I.E. the thread topic. They set forth that you are not the Temple of God and that theirs is.

The temple of God has nothing to do with the AoD. :)

I didn't say there wouldn't be a third temple as the temple spoken of in the last 8 chapters of the book of Ezekiel has not been built yet and you have provided plenty of proof that there will be a third temple and I am aware of those prophetic scriptures as well. What I said was that there is no proof that the temple spoken of in 2 Thess. ch 2 in which the antichrist would sit in the Holy of holies and declare himself to be God, will be the third temple. It is not logical for God to build a third temple, let the antichrist sit in it and declare himself that he is God, thereby defiling the temple and then God going into the same temple and residing there in a defiled temple. There simply is no proof that both God and the antichrist will be using the same temple.
And I did not say that. GOD will use it JUST TO FULFILL PROPHECY, not that HE would be worshiped there. GOD will send them the Strong Delusion, so that they will believe the LIE. Now doesn't that fulfill to the T, the Jewish LONGING for Temple. Those who listen to the TWO WITINESS's, JESUS IS YOUR MESSIAH AND KING, become Martyred Tribulation SAINTS; and those who reject HIM, will meet their end in the TEMPLE, where the Antichrist SITS..

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 (HCSB)
9 The coming ⌊of the lawless one⌋ is based on Satan’s working, with all kinds of false miracles, signs, and wonders,
10 and with every unrighteous deception among those who are perishing. ⌊They perish⌋ because they did not accept the love of the truth in order to be saved.
11 For this reason God sends them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,
12 so that all will be condemned—those who did not believe the truth but enjoyed unrighteousness.

That is what I am seeing in that Portion of Scripture.

I don't understand how people can't see that the abomination that makes desolate was the Jews killing Christ. I mean the bible evens says that Jesus became an abomination unto them and Jesus said "behold thy house is left desolate".... How much more clearer can that be?

Has nothing to do with his body?

The AoD is an abomination that is so vile, so repugnant, so evil, to God that he makes the people who committed the abomination desolate forever.

abomination

The noun abomination means a thing or action that is vile, vicious or terrible. For example, if you see a neighbor kick an old blind dog that's done nothing wrong, you might remark, "That kind of cruelty is an abomination!"

Here, I found a Cross-Section Map showing the Bedrock of the SO-CALLED Temple Mount
and it never did have a level enough spot on it for THRESHING FLOOR.

1595528923657.png

Then I got to wondering HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE THEM to BUILD the Bridge across the KIDRON VALLEY, such as this:

-

The Problem is the GRAVES are so close that there is no room between grave sites, so some would have to be moved.
In ISRAEL, that could be a MAJOR UNDERTAKING.

There is how BIG that Grave Yard actually is. So they would have to go all the way to the top of the Mount of Olives.

So how do you make a Helicopter KOSHER? Ever Piece of it would have to be make by Orthodox Jews. Or MAYBE A HOT AIR BALLOON ?

Do you know what I consider to be the Abomination of Desolation?

Do you remember the video that talked about THAT THE HIGH PRIEST cannot come into close contact with DEAD BODY, because it will defile him.

When the Antichrist comes into the Temple at the mid point of the so-called 7 year Peace Treaty. Takes a seat in the Holy of Holies, and DEMANDS ALL the PRIESTS Now will worship him. Most will say NO WAY! The will then take them up to the ROOF on a Wing of the Temple. AND BEHEAD ALL OF THEM ON A GUILLOTINE, as a Spectacle for the WHOLE WORLD TO SEE ON INTERNATIONAL NEWS.

Look closely at this picture:

I have thought that ever since the early 80's. That is the Abomination of Desolation. Nothing is more defiling than a DEAD BODY to a Jew. YES, their is a stairs up to the ROOF, because the TRUMPETERS use it to blow their Trumpets on Feast Days.

In addition to the Roman destruction of the TEMPLE, the Macabean King Simon, ordered the real TEMPLE MOUNT in what is now called the City of David, but was then at the time of Christ, the original location of Jerusalem; TURNED INTO A ROCK QUARRY. He did that because of what the Romans did in 70 A.D., saying even the Rock base was therefore DEFILED on the original Temple Mount. Macabeans removed several meters of rock and used it to fill in the Valley to the South, making a fairly level road coming in from the South to Jerusalem. That distance from the Southern Wall of Fort Antonia to the TEMPLE is only a difference of about 400 ft. to the south of what is today the city limits of Jerusalem.
How can the Simon Maccabeus do something because of what Romans did in 70AD? He died in 135BC.

No, Prince Simon bar Kokhba is something of a Folk Hero to Jews, because he only was the leader of Israel for 132 - 135 A.D. Most have even forgotten that he turned the Temple Mount into a Rock Quarry, because the ROMAN's had started to build a Temple to Jupiter, ON THE TEMPLE MOUNT. He considered that an INSULT TO GOD, and it Defiled the BEDROCK to almost to ground level. So this Defilement happens during the Great Tribulation.

HERE IS THE PROOF THAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT THE END TIMES, and not 70 A.D. or 135 A.D.

Matthew 24:15-21 (HCSB)
15 “So when you see the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand),
16 then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!
17 A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house.
18 And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes.
19 Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!
20 Pray that your escape may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.
21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again!

Daniel 9:27 (HCSB)
27 He will make a firm covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and offering. And the abomination of desolation will be on a wing of the temple until the decreed destruction is poured out on the desolator.”

Daniel 11:31 (HCSB)
31 His forces will rise up and desecrate the temple fortress. They will abolish the daily sacrifice and set up the abomination of desolation.

Daniel 12:11-12 (NASB)
11 "From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the abomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
12 "How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!

DID HE JUST GIVE THE TIME LINE FROM the Mid Trib Abomination of Desolation, all the way to THE SECOND COMING ? ? ?

YES, I Believe PRETRIBULATION is when CHRIST COMES FOR HIS BRIDE, as it the ONLY way NO ONE WILL KNOW THE DAY OR THE HOUR.

Zechariah 14:4-5 (NASB)
4 In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.
5 You will flee by the valley of My mountains, for the valley of the mountains will reach to Azel; yes, you will flee just as you fled before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the LORD, my God, will come, and all the holy ones with Him!

I am looking at it FROM GOD'S PERSPECTIVE:

Isaiah 46:8-13 (NIV)
8 "Remember this, fix it in mind, take it to heart, you rebels.
9 Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me.
10 I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.
11 From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that will I bring about; what I have planned, that will I do.

12 Listen to me, you stubborn-hearted, you who are far from righteousness.
13 I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my splendor to Israel.

I would suggest John chapter 15 through 17. In 15 he explains this to the twelve but in 17 he says it is said to those who heard the twelve(me paraphrasing this). In any event baring this in mind when reading Daniel 9&11 is something to consider when pondering the AoD. Instead of an English word definition it may also be helpful to look at it in Hebrew(just click on the words) https://biblehub.com/interlinear/daniel/9.htm ...Ask yourself do the things that Scripture says happens to Jesus happen to his eyes and legs, you know the body of Christ.

You are right about a lot of this. Maybe the antichrist will sit in the 15th temple or the 666th temple?? Or maybe he already sat in the 2nd temple and we just aren't aware of it? One thing we know for certain, God will never dwell in a temple made with hands. He said so repeatedly.

As for the temple of Ezekiel 40-48. That was a hypothetical temple. They were to only get that grand temple if they repented, which they didn't do, so they got the lesser 2nd temple instead. The only reason they got a 2nd temple at all was because Daniel repented for them. After 70 years of captivity, the Jews learned nothing. The Jews of today still have learned nothing. After the holocaust, those Jews turned to God but it wasn't long after that they turned away again. Today's Jews are 90% aethiest. This is why the kingdom was taken away from them and given to ALL BELIEVERS.

Ezek 43:10 “Son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern. 11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple and its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, its entire design and all its ordinances, all its forms and all its laws. Write it down in their sight, so that they may keep its whole design and all its ordinances, and perform them.

Because the above never happened, (i.e., they were never ashamed) THAT temple never happened.
Ok if the above never happened then why are all of the arrangements, exits, it's entire design and the rest written down in the book of Ezekiel for us to know???? It was written in the Greek Septuagint which was a translation of the Hebrew Bible written for Greek speaking Jews long before it was written the New Testament. The temple is still yet to be built in the future which means that the Jews can still repent and indeed will repent.
The 144,000 chosen will convert the Jewish people in the future.

Hi Massorite. Why would you think the man of sin is "The Antichrist"?
Do you study from the Companion Bible of 1611?
I never make a statement without first doing the research on the subject and when I say research I am talking about picking apart each word of any verse in the Word of God. So with that in mind here is why I believe that the man of sin will be that antichrist.
The man of sin (Greek: ὁ ἄνθρωπος τῆς ἁμαρτίας, ho anthrōpos tēs hamartias; or ἀνομίας, anomias, translated “lawlessness”) is a figure referred to in the Christian Bible in the Second Epistle to the Thessalonians. He is usually equated with the Antichrist in Christian eschatology.
The antichrist is also refered to as The Beast, The Little Horn, Anti-Christ, The Man of Sin, and The Son of Destruction. The antichrist will be satan incarnate just as God was Christ incarnate.

First, it is the Man of Sin who sits in the temple of God. There is no prophesy of an "AntiChrist" doing anything other than coming. There were many antichrists. The term "antichrist" is found just 4 times in the entire Bible, here they are:

  1. 1 John 2:18

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.
  2. 1 John 2:22
Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
  3. 1 John 4:3
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

  4. 2 John 1:7

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
John makes clear that many antichrists have come (already) and that's how they knew it was the last hour - TO THEM - NOT US!!! They were in the death throws as a nation. Now John does reference a specific antichrist or at least the spirit of the antichrist who would soon come. I have no problem giving that title to Titus, the Son of the 7th head of the Roman Beast (4th beast of Daniel 7). Titus, the Son of the Roman God, Vespasian - fits the bill as do many characters during the Jewish War. I also have no problem giving Vespasian the title of AntiChrist as many religious Jews of that time believed He was their messiah come to save them from the zealots.

Let's try to keep our terminology consistent with the terms used in the Bible. Titus was NOT the Man of Sin. Titus never SAT in the temple. He stood in it. Eleazar actually sat in the temple. Heck he dwelled there. There is no prediction of an antichrist in our future but heck many thought Hitler was an antichrist. We certainly don't need a third temple for 2 Thes 2 to have been fulfilled.
If you were to do a little research on the word "temple" you will find that the word "temple" is actually speaking of a real building/temple. Strongs and Thayer's Greek English Lexicon #G3485.
There is only one "man of sin" spoken of in all of the bible so maybe you can provide me with scripture that proves that the man of sin is not the antichrist. The Greek translation of the words "man of sin" is "lawless one" and there is only one "lawless one" mentioned in the Word of God.
Sorry if you want to go beyond the research tools I use but I never do commentaries because they are nothing more then another mans opinion. Besides I think your a Preterist and that doctrinal belief is full of holes, garbage and a waste of my time to have a conversation about. But I will say this much. According to Josephus there were about 600,000 Jews in Jerusalem during the Roman siege, but there were more then 6,000,000 Jewish people slaughtered during WW2 so the idea that the time of Jacobs Trouble was fulfilled in 70 A.D. has been proven to pale in comparison to the suffering of the Jewish people during WW2.
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Matthew 24:15 and 24 prove that the destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans was not the time of Jacobs Trouble because in verse 21 it says there "will be great tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time no nor ever shall be" Since the Jewish people suffered far greater tribulation and loss of human life during WW2 then they did during 70AD this proves that the antichrist has not yet come and the time of great tribulation/time of Jacobs Trouble has not yet happened because the destruction spoken of in Mat 24 is far worse then what has historically happened to the Jewish people to this day and time.

This one I believe is the day we die.

This one I believe is our glorified bodies.

This one I believe is our glorified bodies also.

This one obviously is the redemption of our bodies and you and I know our bodies are glorified at our deaths.

PW this one should make you change your mind on this completely. This verse says that Jesus, through his DEATH became the Mediator of the new covenant. Under the new covenant, he REDEEMED the transgressions of those under the first covenant.... that verse is the redemption of the Old Testament saints, those that DIED under the law.

One day he's gonna see the light :).
Sure, one day when he gets to heaven and starts asking around. Or perhaps he will see that he has fingers and toes and arms and legs already. I bet Chuck Smith and Tim LaHaye and Darby, Moody and the like are up there saying, "man we sure got that one wrong. Ooops."

We agree on the important things. You think they happened ~40 years before I do, that's all.
