Bob and Betty need Help!!!!

Okay, so now I need a guys perspective on something.

Many times when Bob and Betty chat they end up talking about relationships and how they both are wanting to find that s[ecial someone. Bob often asks Betty questions about her dating life and shares his stories with her. Bob also would not let one of his friends date Betty.

Do you think Bob is interested in Betty?

Probably but it sounds like Bob's hesitant because Betty is probably a little crazy. Aside from the fact they are friends they probably don't have that much in common.

Well, thats whats keeping Bob at bay. He's afraid that if he told Betty how he felt, he doesn't know how she will take it. He doesn't trust her reactions, so to him, she is crazy.

Thim,

I think Bob probably likes Betty and is interested in getting to know her better....but he may be shy or have been burnt.......so if I was Betty I would grill some steaks and fry some taters, forget the lasagna, if Betty told Bob she made him lasagna he would probably think she thought he was gay.............Tell Betty I said good luck............No I will sit back and let all the lasagna lovers give me grief.............

No they live in the same city and see each other on a regular basis as they work for the same organization.

I think he's probably interested in you. Not certainly but possibly/probably, decent chance. He seems shy and timid. Ask him how he views your relationship, ask him if he wants more.

I agree with most of what's been written here. It seems he's interested, seems he's timid/shy/wary. Try to move the relationship on, little steps better than big ones, and might want to ask him as well.

If this guy won't let you....or Betty date one his friends then he is at the least very protective and at the most seriously attracted, either way it seems beyond friendship becasue if it weren't he'd let Betty date a friend because as a friend to two great people he'd be happy to see them together.

This might be a situtation where he is shy and rather than fall back on the old 'it's a guys job to ask me' belief it might be time to bite the bullet and ask first to give him confidence and move the relationship onto the next stage, if you or Betty don't do this you'll never know, and does Betty want to go down that road and miss a great opportunity just because it 'isn't her job' to ask a guy out.

Betty needs to help herself ;)

Betty is really encouraged by all of this advice. She needs your prayers as taking that first step will be hard for her. So please lift her and Bob up in prayer as Betty takes the first step.

I think Betty will do fine, she seems awesome ;) it sounds like Bob is already there anyway :)

I think Bob and Betty sounds like a great couple. It just has a ring to it, don't ya think? But seriously, I think that Betty should step out over that edge and share her feelings. Maybe Bob is afraid of saying something and feeling stupid when he realizes that Betty doesn't feel the same way.

I sometimes wonder if a lot of us singles are really single because we can't find someone or because we are too timid to go after the ones we like.

I'm single right now because..........

I'm too poor to support a healthy relationship. If I can't do it right, I'd rather not do it at all. Besides its just a phase. So long as I don't lose my mind, become a quadraplegic or get burned from head to toe, I'll be ok.

But Zero has a good point. I'm watching the NFL draft and as the the players that I want on my team go to other teams, I'm reminded of the feeling of watching really great women get scooped up by other guys.
