The government’s job is to ensure people live justly according to the word of God. Any diversion from that comes from Satan and leads to trouble. Contrary to popular myth, systems don’t matter. A country may succeed with centralized authority (Moses and King David style dictatorship) or decentralized authority (Old Testament Judges) depending on the style of leadership of the president and his aides. That decision oughta be left to them.
2 Sam 2:4

Then the men of Judah came to Hebron, and there they anointed David king over the tribe of Judah. When Davidwas told that it was the men from Jabesh Gilead who had buried Saul,

I think you need to undertake more Bible study. King David was indeed chosen by God nevertheless, he was basically elected into office by popular vote of the Israelites. And he was by no means a dictator......Quite the contrary.
Yes, like the Pope is the only Christian and Godly person these day's...

It is always good to do Bible study. Thanks for the recommendation.

I used the word "dictator" literally (not negatively) in the sense that he "dictated" to people what to do (like most leaders do, even in sports) as opposed to someone who asks people to vote on everything, which can get overly bureaucratic, inefficient, and irritating depending on the situation. Just imagine someone at war asking his people to cast votes in the heat of battle. That would be ridiculous. King David was most certainly a strong leader inspired by God who knew what to do to serve his people very well even without asking everyone to vote on everything. In fact, that's what distinguishes a great leader from a bad one, that is the ability to read people and what is needed for every situation without too much politics and bureaucracy, and then have the confidence, courage, and resolve to act on what is needed in a timely manner. Businesses and sports teams who have such leaders (think Steve Jobs and Michael Jordan) fair much better than the rest. I believe President Trump is this kind of leader, which is why I greatly appreciate him as the US president since I get a feeling of safety with his policies to continue working in the US in my field of software engineering.

By the way, democracy does have its time too, but usually in less critical low-pressure matters that are highly subjective and preferential, like what color jersey is going to be next year for the Chicago Bulls, what logo should a business commit to, what product design should an electronics company build, what kind of architecture should a city invest in, what players should a sports team trade, etc... basically, anything that does not involve morals (as morals are non-negotiable and always bound by God's laws, not democratic opinions), is not time-sensitive, is not life-and-death-critical, and is highly subjective/preferential.

Godspeed.

2 Sam 2:4

Then the men of Judah came to Hebron, and there they anointed David king over the tribe of Judah. When Davidwas told that it was the men from Jabesh Gilead who had buried Saul,
King David was sure anointed, but that was decided by God, not the people who were only doing God's will, which is more important than anything a democracy could offer.

--
1 Samuel 16:1 (NET)

The Lord said to Samuel, “How long do you intend to mourn for Saul? I have rejected him as king over Israel.[a] Fill your horn with olive oil and go. I am sending you to Jesse in Bethlehem, for I have selected a king for myself from among his sons.”[b]
--

Also, don't forget how unthrilled Abner and Saul's son Ish Bosheth were with the possibility of David becoming King:

--
2 Samuel 2:8-9 (NET)

8 Now Abner son of Ner, the general in command of Saul’s army, had taken Saul’s son Ish Bosheth[a] and had brought him to Mahanaim. 9 He appointed him king over Gilead, the Geshurites,[b] Jezreel, Ephraim, Benjamin, and all Israel.

It’s funny how practicly most Europeans I spoke with online where all for globalism. Humanitarism and all that junk. Socialism is still popular in Europe and make no mistake, even after electing conservative parties, the grip of socialism on a society is still strong. Once you shut it down bad things happen, people feel entittled.

Now all that wasn’t enough to convince these people. But tell them they won’t be dictating the scene but eastern countries will sure woke them up lol.

Wether it’s one or the other, neither is going to get its way freely. So let’s as humanity fixate our eyes on Jesus Christ and Him alone. If we were sheep of God we would not be lambs of politics.

They are no longer communist. They are more like an oligarchy/fascist state run by dictator for life Putin.
People should try and understand that the old labels do not mean anything anymore, and neither do the new labels. Yes, Russia is a fascist/oligarchic state, but they simply changed the labels. They operate under the same Communist principles of robbing the ordinary people of their freedoms and livelihoods. Putin has raped his country, and a handful of his buddies control the wealth of Russia. But Lubyanka is still there.

In spite of all this the Democratic Party in America has chosen to become Communist/Marxist/Fascist simply for the sake of power. They have literally allowed Communists to run as Democrats, and Biden has fully adopted the Communist agenda of Sanders. But they are not honest enough to call themselves the Communist Party USA.

Any VP Biden chooses will be fully committed to that, so that the democratic Republic of America will become the "Peoples Republic of the Democrats". If Trump fails to win the upcoming election, it will be the end of America. And that is what all the anarchists are working towards right now -- destroy the existing order and raise up a Communist Utopia.

I'm Canadian. When I was young and dumb, I was all for socialism (but not communism). I thought it provided benefits to the weak and poor that were unavailable in our neighboring USA.

As I grew older and reached the top ranks of my profession, I've discovered that socialism is for the mediocre and for children. It's perfect for children because when they're young and incapable, it provides them with many benefits that they could not attain on their own. After I've worked for some really good companies in the US, I realized I had no interest in those benefits whatsoever anymore as I became highly self-reliant (as any man of God should be), and as such, socialism feels extremely boxing (like bowling with bumpers or having a third wheel on a bike).

Anyways, some people like to simmer in mediocrity and live in the box of systems that put an "upper-bound" on skill level in society, and if anyone surpasses it, they exploit them and milk them dry while sharing their goods with everyone without giving them credit. That's extremely evil because God did not put an upper bound on skill level. That's why many Canadians who outshine their peers eventually move to the US.

Socialism is a form of post-adulthood-childhood-facilitation-system. Yuck! Grow up! You are accountable to God as an adult by adult standards not child standards. If you live like a child as an adult, that's like committing the deadly sin of sloth continuously. I'm sure no one who is born again and accepts Jesus Christ completely would want that.

I’d like to see it all turn back to normal, the way it was. But that’s never going to happen.

"But that’s never going to happen."

These are not the words of a believer in God who knows God is omnipotent and can answer any prayer provided you are obedient to God and follow Jesus Christ.

"I’d like to see it all turn back to normal, the way it was."

We make our own normal everyday. Things don't turn to normal unless you're a child who's a victim to the world instead of a responsible participant who is doing his part for God everyday.

That said, I don't know what "normal" you were talking about. Nothing changed in Canada. I am the one who changed by growing up and fully accepting God and our lord Jesus Christ.

God is neither a democrat nor a republican. He might use some of these people. But as a believer I believe only Christ can save us. And when He comes it won’t be “back to normal” (meaning back to how it was; as we know it was).

I’m also leaving from a European perspective having been flooded with one crisis after the other. But then again, it’s safe to say the world will never turn back to it’s old ways. You might not see this, but there’s a great collapse and when water and food gets scarce, you’d be ”surprised” to see not so many people put Christ first in their lives.

I’m not a child, nor left nor right.
Trust me; it’s only going to get worse. Democracy or socialism, You can’t feed your spouse with ideology bro.

" “back to normal” (meaning back to how it was; as we know it was)"

That did not explain one bit what you meant by "normal". Also, "how it was; as we know it was" does not mean anything. We live in the "present" after all.

"I’m also leaving from a European perspective having been flooded with one crisis after the other."

I already addressed that point though: "God is omnipotent and can answer any prayer provided you are obedient to God and follow Jesus Christ."

Have the Europeans been obedient to God and following Jesus Christ? No! Well, there you go! There is your answer. That's the reason for the "one crisis after the other"

Be obedient to God and follow Jesus Christ if you want crises to go away!

"Trust me; it’s only going to get worse. "

Why would I trust someone whose actions don't seem to indicate a Man of God who is spreading pleasant Gospel from Jesus Christ, yet someone merely spreading doom and gloom from Satan and lack of faith in God? No, thanks. Only a fool listens to such words.

"God is neither a democrat nor a republican."

That is completely pointless information that does not mean anything. Democrats and Republicans oughta follow God, not the other way around.

"I believe only Christ can save us."

Christ ordered people to do good for others all the time, meaning he saves us through people's actions. Only a fool doesn't understand that.

Luke 9:2 (WEB): "He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick."

"I’m also leaving from a European perspective"

Not sure what you meant by "leaving" there.

"You can’t feed your spouse with ideology bro."

Jesus Christ never asked anyone to feed their spouse with ideology. He commanded people to abide by his teachings so that God blesses them and feeds them instead. After all, he provided an undeniable example of that from the animal kingdom for people who have not had that experience first-hand in their life yet (Praise the Lord, I've experienced it first-hand and continue to experience it everyday since I've been born again as an obedient follower of Jesus Christ and God).

Matthew 6:26-34 (WEB)

26 See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

27 “Which of you by being anxious, can add one moment[a] to his lifespan? 28 Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin, 29 yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won’t he much more clothe you, you of little faith?

31 “Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ 32 For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient.

Ok than....
Having read the bible myself and putting faith in it, I can clearly and strongly believe it will only get worse during my generation. Look at the world bro, all the ingredients are here and they aren’t rolling out their army for some drillings and routine practices no.

God's armies only do good in the world. Doesn't sound like anything I need to worry about at all, especially as a Canadian who occasionally works in the US and might become American eventually. I socialize with army people over sports and and admire their gallantry. Heck if anything, in Chicago, I often wear a "Support the Troops" Chicago Bears memorial day jacket that army people recognize in public every once in a while and thank me for wearing. If anything, I'd look forward to President Trump rolling out the army to do good in the world. It's the only thing the army is about after all. Only the unrighteous are afraid of the army, not us followers of Jesus Christ, thanks be to God.

Not sure how bad things are in Belgium where you are, but don't you have the Trappist monasteries and best beer in the world?! If so, what are you worrying about? If I were you, then even if the entire world was fighting, I'd simply go into a monastery and enjoy some of the best Trappist beers in the world till the day I die. :D

It is sad that some people don't know how to live by the Gospel and worry about external conditions. For those of us blessed by God due to perfect obedience and who take the yoke of Jesus Christ, people actions and outside conditions are completely irrelevant to our happiness.

Matthew 11:29 (WEB)

"Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls."

Ha! Alcohol and me aren’t a good combination. ;) We sure need not to worry. But sure to take heed for things to come. No politician (son of man) will bring us redemption, at least stall the inevitable. You might not see the army of God marching in this life but simply die in this life and get ressurected in the next one. Many christians already get murdered simply for being christian, Open Doors revealed horrific numbers on that.

All I am trying to say there is no system (wether it’s globalism or nationalism) that can save this world. As long we are in this world and Christ has not returned, it’s best to have an army ;) I like president Trump too, but I worship Christ and He’s King. Before He collects His bride many bad things will happen first. That is what my Bible teaches. It doesn’t say you shouldn’t be happy, but it does teach not to get happy conforming to this world. This world is not ours.

I didn't read any quoted scripture in any of your posts. Any words that don't come from God are impotent (i.e. without power). Never give them attention. They come from Satan who has no true power, but that stolen from sinners who gave away their power (that came from God) with their own actions of disobedience and rebellion against God.

"All I am trying to say there is no system (wether it’s globalism or nationalism) that can save this world. "

I already addressed that earlier by saying systems are for the mediocre and for children:

"some people like to simmer in mediocrity and live in the box of systems that put an "upper-bound" on skill level in society, and if anyone surpasses it, they exploit them and milk them dry while sharing their goods with everyone without giving them credit. That's extremely evil because God did not put an upper bound on skill level. That's why many Canadians who outshine their peers eventually move to the US."

By the way, nationalism, as in allegiance to your nation and leader, is not a system, yet an obligation and duty of any law-abiding citizen in any nation, which is mandated by God and Jesus Christ's words of Matthew 22:39 (WEB) "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Anyone who disregards nationalism is condemned by both God and his people and would be a fool to expect any good in this world without repentance.

"it does teach not to get happy conforming to this world"

The Bible never teaches not to get happy, whether conforming to this world or not, yet not to love the world. Here is what Jesus Christ says.

1 John 2:15-17 (WEB)

"15 Don’t love the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father’s love isn’t in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s. 17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever."

Note the ending: "but he who does God’s will remains forever". That's exactly what I was explaining about happiness through obedience to God.

In any case, there is only one world, the Kingdom of Heaven. Any other world is an illusion and deception by Satan. That's why Jesus Christ tells us to focus away from Satan based worldly affairs. Because, the truth is not in them.

John 8:31-32 (WEB)

31 Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. 32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

??? I asked what you meant about Trump rolling out his army. Our army is ready to rip him out of office if He refuses to leave. And the retired Col. Lawrence Wilkerson, says that if any right wing civilians feel the need to raise their guns against the US as far as bloodshed. " all bets are off!"
