Yes 3 completely separate beings.....one God

"Let us make man in our image"

The Father says of the son in hebrews ch 1 ... "thy throne o God is forever and ever "

Rev 5
The Son takes the scroll from the hand of the Father.
Close but were not there yet. God the Father, and God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit is ONE Eternal Being within three PERSONS..not in three Gods. That would be Paganism. The Infinite Trinity is a reality that is way above our little, finite, abilities to fully understand. But there is logic in it. - "In the beginning God created.." God is The uncaused Cause of all things. God is the necessary FIRST Cause of all creation. And..there can only be one..FIRST..Cause!

Thank you.

”But in God, there are not three entities nor three beings.”

(CARM, “What is the Trinity?”)

https://carm.org/what-is-the-trinity

How do you respond to trinitarian scholars who say, as Matt Slick does here, that the Trinity is not three beings?

Is there anything else in this CARM article about the Trinity which you disagree with?

The Father says of the son in hebrews ch 1 ... "thy throne o God is forever and ever "

Rev 5
The Son takes the scroll from the hand of the Father.
Agreed.

Nope.
3 completely separate beings.

The Holy Spirit came on Jesus at baptism.

Jesus LOOKING TO HEAVEN prayed to the Father.
Rev 5 has Jesus taking the scroll from the Father.
2 Seperate being. The 3rd is not seperate.

"Have you been with me for so long Phillip and yet you do not understand? Whoever sees me sees the Father." (John 14:9)
Why do you speak as though I deny that Jesus is God?

Yes. There is but ONE God within 3 PERSONS..not three Gods. The three Persons, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, are eternally ONE in Being..one God..in 3 Persons. This was defined at the Catholic Nicene Council in 350 A.D. It was in answer to a heresy then that said Jesus was the Son of God but not God.
I agree that there are 2 persons. But no one has showed me the 3rd as a person.

Forgive me if I am wrong. But you seem to deny that there are 3 co-equal Persons in the one God. Each true God from true God. Begotten, not made. One in Being with God..

Here they are. The Father (1) The Son (2) and The Holy Spirit (3). These three Persons in the ONE God are clearly shown at Jesus" Baptism in Matt.3:16-17. And the three Persons in the ONE God are clearly shown at the occasion of Jesus creating the sacrament of Confession for us.. "JESUS (1) said, "AS the FATHER (2) has sent me I now send you." When He had said this He breathed on them and said, "Receive the HOLY SPIRIT (3). Whoever's sins you (men) forgive they are forgiven. And whoever's sins you retain, they are retained (John 20:21-23) And.. "I (Jesus) have told you this while i AM (1) with you. The Advocate, the HOLY SPIRIT (2) that the FATHER (3) will send in my name. He will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you." (John 14:26)

Brother, the 3 you see there are Son, Holy Spirit and God. Instead if calling Him God our Lord Jesus called Him Father. How does that make Him another "person" in trinity?

"For those of us that know, no explanation is necessary.
For those who don't, no explanation is possible.
But we can suggest the Holy Spirit, and you too may come to know."

How? The three Persons are ONE God..ONE in Being. Jesus (God) said.."He who sees me sees the Father." (God) And Jesus, "Breathed on them and said.."Receive the Holy Spirit.." (John20: 21-232) And John 1 says of Jesus.. "In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word (Jesus) was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made." (Jesus is one with the Creator God) Notice that both Genesis and John start with.."In the Beginning.." This is no coincidence! Because they are both talking about the same God and Creator. And Genesis alludes to the three Persons in the ONE God. "Then God said.. "Let US (1) make man in OUR (2) image and in OUR (3) likeness." Gen. 1:26

How can Jesus be God, the Spirit be God and the Father be God?
Hear oh Israel, our God, our God, is one.
Yet I am the LORD thy God From the land of Egypt; And thou knowest no God but Me, And beside Me there is no saviour.

God is Holy-Psalm 99- Spirit. John 4:24 "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth."

Not 3 dimensions..God is ONE in 3 PERSONS - God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. The scriptures say that God the Son "..breathed the Holy Spirit upon them." in John 20:21-23. And Jesus, speaking in John 14:23 of what of He and the Father will do to whomever loves Him and keeps His word said.. "WE will come to him and make OUR abode with him." It would make no sense, if Jesus and the Father were only different roles or dimensions, to refer to His dimensions as.."We." You may be a Father and a son and a husband but you would never, ever, refer to your different dimensions as.."We." But listen to how God the Father speaks to God the Son in Heb.1:5-13.. "Your throne, O GOD, stands forever and ever; and a righteous scepter is the scepter of your Kingdom.." This is not one role or dimension speaking to another role or dimension! That could not even happen. This is clearly one Person talking to another Person..who is ONE in Being with God.

What kind of a question is that? A true Christian would never wonder about that. The whole Bible emphasizes nothing more than the importance of worshiping the one true God of Israel, condemning anyone who practices polytheism. What on earth gave you the idea of 3 gods other than Satan deceiving you? Have you been drinking too much alcohol and making assertions while drunk? I hope not.

As for explaining the Trinity, it's very simple:
  • The Father in Heaven is the one true God of Israel that must be worshiped and prayed to alone
  • The Son of God is Jesus Christ, God's prophet and messenger, also known as the Son of Man, who brought us salvation by reminding us of God's message in the Bible throughout the ages to repent, believe, and obey God. He also provided an excellent human example to follow in our daily lives.
  • The Holy Spirit is the spirit of God that blesses and directs the Kingdom of Heaven and aids followers of Jesus Christ (including in Baptism and in being Born Again). The Holy Sprit blocks Satan and his minions completely from our lives ensuring we lead a holy life that pleases God.
I see many people here asking questions that are Christianity 101 when they should have known the answers to them already just by the mere fact of being Christian and going to church. That makes me doubt the Christianity of those people thinking they are trolls. Refrain from asking basic questions that you could ask your pastor at church or Christian family members. These forums are for Christians to socialize and commiserate not to debate basic Christianity 101 topics that should have been agreed upon to begin with.

You can’t be your own father.

Jesus himself addressed this very issue...

Luke 20:41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son? [42] And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, [43] Till I make thine enemies thy footstool. [44] David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Jesus is the First and the Last.
He is the Alpha and the Omega.
